Story
Meet Ringo & Jude - a bonded pair of 7 year old boys. Ringo is a white and brown Siamese mix with blue eyes while Jude is a black and white bicolor guy. These two recently arrived at the Shelter so we are still getting to know them. They can be a bit reserved at first but enjoy chin scritches with people once comfortable. They appear to be pretty attached to each other so we are looking for a home for them together. Their adoption fee is 2 for 1 to help keep them together. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Story
Hi, I’m Luna! I’m a curious, chatty girl with three legs and plenty of personality. I move quickly and get around just fine, though I can’t jump as high as most cats. I can be shy at first, especially in new environments, but I warm up quickly with kind people. I love being pet and brushed and I am very vocal when I want attention or when it’s time to eat. I am very food motivated and serious about my meal schedule! I prefer to be the only pet and would thrive with all the love for myself, though a quiet tank pet like a bird or lizard would be fine. I enjoy playtime, exploring, and relaxing in my favorite spot on a desk chair or sleeping near people’s feet. I can get overwhelmed by loud noises like vacuums or yelling. I’m a loving, playful companion who will keep you company and remind you when it’s dinner time.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Janice (janice.frazier@sbcglobal.net) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › Pretty and very outgoingTopeka is an absolutely beautiful chocolate point Siamese girl with cute white paws! She's smart, playful, and curious, and very willing to speak her mind!  And we are looking for the right home for her. Originally adopted in September, she was returned to us in late November when the adopter took her to a routine vaccine appointment and the Vet was concerned about her having a hard abdomen.  We took her to Med Vet and it was determined she had a mass that was impinging on her left kidney; the mass needed to be removed. A highly skilled experienced surgeon took on the case, the surgery went well, but the surgeon had never seen such a mass and there is no literature about this mass. At the Vets suggestion, we plan a future ultrasound on her to make sure it doesn't return, and that the kidney has recovered. Though it all, she has been active, happy, and raring to go.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. To Adopt one of our Cats or Kittens, please fill out an Online Adoption Application on our website  https://www.13thstcats.org/info/adoption If the animal bio says that they are a "Courtesy Listing", the contact information will be included in the animal bio for you to reach out to them directly. Thank you for wanting to Adopt! -------------- 13thstcats.org is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, No-Kill Rescue Group based in San Jose. We try our best to match our cats to the perfect homes, and match them based on their personalities, not their looks. Adoptions are not done on a first come, first serve basis, rather in the order of what homes are the right match for that particular cat March 27, 2026, 11:33 pm

Story
Andy & Lovey – Bonded Siamese Pair Seeking a Safe Home Brother Andy (part Siamese) and Sister Lovey (lilac point Siamese) are a bonded brother–sister pair looking for a safe, warm place to live together. They have grown up in a managed feral colony and are very familiar with people, though they are not handled or petted. They know their names, come when whistled for, sniff fingers, and happily hang around during feeding time. They even jump into the car to eat, showing how trusting and adaptable they are. Unfortunately, they currently live in an area with heavy traffic, and their safety is a growing concern. Andy and Lovey must be placed together and would do best in a protected garden, winery, barn, or similar environment where they can stay warm and safe from harm. A small adoption fee applies. Their caregiver is deeply committed to their well-being, will help ensure a good placement, and can assist with delivery and ongoing support. These two deserve a secure place where they can stay together and live safely for the rest of their lives. Andy & Lovey are being cared for by a member of the community.  To arrange to meet these cats or find out more, please fill out our application here: https://www.thedancingcat.org/adopt-courtesy For more information regarding our Courtesy Posts, see www.thedancingcat.org/courtesy-postsMarch 8, 2026, 1:51 am

Story
Marz was born on the streets of San Jose alongside his mama and siblings in a managed colony outside a busy Goodwill. During the colony’s TNR process, it was discovered that he had osteomyelitis, a serious bone infection that required amputation to prevent it from spreading. His surgery was a success, and Marz has been recovering beautifully in a loving foster home. Now fully healed, he’s embraced life as a tripod and is surprisingly fast always ready to play and explore his indoor world. At just five months old, Marz has shown incredible resilience and an unstoppable spirit. With his toughest days behind him, he’s ready to find a forever home where he can continue to thrive and bring joy to everyone around him. Prior to adoption, all cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV/FELV, vaccinated and microchipped. Marz is currently in a foster home. To meet the cat, please fill out an adoption application so that we'll have your contact information, and we'll get back to you as soon as possible. Our adoption application is on our website here:  www.thedancingcat.org/adopt  March 28, 2026, 12:00 am
