Story
Hi, I’m Luna! I’m a curious, chatty girl with three legs and plenty of personality. I move quickly and get around just fine, though I can’t jump as high as most cats. I can be shy at first, especially in new environments, but I warm up quickly with kind people. I love being pet and brushed and I am very vocal when I want attention or when it’s time to eat. I am very food motivated and serious about my meal schedule! I prefer to be the only pet and would thrive with all the love for myself, though a quiet tank pet like a bird or lizard would be fine. I enjoy playtime, exploring, and relaxing in my favorite spot on a desk chair or sleeping near people’s feet. I can get overwhelmed by loud noises like vacuums or yelling. I’m a loving, playful companion who will keep you company and remind you when it’s dinner time.

Story
Hi, I’m Kinoko - a gentle, thoughtful 10-year-old Siamese girl with big blue eyes… and yes, they’re just a tiny bit cross-eyed. It just means I have my own special way of looking at the world—and people tend to fall in love with it pretty quickly. I like to take my time getting to know things. I’ll sit back, observe, and think things through… and then come over for a soft headbutt and a cozy purr once I decide you’re my kind of person. I enjoy the simple things—quiet spaces, comfy spots to nap, and being near my people. I’m not overly demanding, but I do love companionship, and I’m happiest when I can sit with you and keep you company (your lap is a pretty great place, just saying). I’ve been with another cat in my previous home and we got along really well. Right now, I’m being treated for a gastrointestinal condition, and I’m doing really well. I have a great appetite, I’ve been gaining weight, and I’m feeling more like myself every day. I’ll likely need to stay on a consistent diet and may need ongoing medication to keep my tummy feeling good. Because of that, I’m looking for a home that can offer: • a calm, stable environment • consistency with my food and routine • someone who’s comfortable keeping an eye on my health and working with a vet if needed In return, I’ll be a very sweet and loyal companion. I may be a little thoughtful at first, but once I feel safe, I’ll show you just how affectionate I can be. If you’re someone who appreciates a quiet, loving cat (with a slightly unique perspective), I think we could be really good for each other.

Story
Meet Little Sissy, the 1 year old long haired Siamese kitty! This sweet girl came in with two other cat friends and have been cohabiting in the shelter together, but they can go to separate loving homes. Little Sissy was described as friendly with strangers by her previous owner, and she has been living up to that reputation here at the shelter! While she is still timid like her other kitty roommates, she has been accepting pets and treats from staff and even making biscuits! These kitties lived with large dogs in their previous home and did well, so a slow introduction with any resident dog may be an option. If you are looking for a fluffy feline friend, come meet Little Sissy today!Little Sissy is available for preadoption—come meet her, fall in love, and take her home after her spay surgery! Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Story
Meet our senior tortie Diva. This 14 year old gal really embraces Beyonce’s song lyrics to her core. She is truly a diva. Due to her blue eyes and light coloration, we suspect she may be some sort of a mix of a Siamese. When you meet her at the kennel, sometimes she’s into attention and other times.. she simply is not. This is common in older cats and can be a classic behavior trait of a “tortie-tude”. During her vet examination, Diva did great – soliciting pets, purring up a storm, walking around rubbing against people. Diva arrived to the Shelter after her senior guardian could no longer care for her. She is looking to be the Queen Bee of her adoptive home. Being a senior gal, her adoption fee is reduced to $75. Could that be with you? Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.**Parmesan must be adopted his brother Gorgonzola** All of our kittens are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccinations, dewormed, deflead and microchipped prior to being delivered to their loving forever home. All of our  kittens are only available for adoption in pairs  as it is our policy not to place kittens under six months of age in a forever home without another same aged kitten. We also do not place kittens older than six months into homes where there is currently not another young cat in residence. Most of our kittens are in "bonded pairs" or bonded with their littermates. We reserve the right not to separate bonded pairs or place kittens individually. The happiness and quality of life for our kittens is our top priority. =^..^=Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2026, 4:56 pm
