Story
Meet Sugar! Sweet • Loving • Gentle Companion Sugar was a devoted mom in a high-intake shelter, where she cared for her puppies despite the stressful environment. She is now safe in foster care with Pep’s Pals Rescue and is ready to find her forever home. Sugar has an affectionate nature and truly enjoys being with her people. She  takes treats gently, and already knows basic commands like “sit.” She is treat-motivated, eager to please, and loves receiving affection from her humans. In the home, Sugar strikes a nice balance with a medium energy level. She enjoys getting out for walks and spending time with her people, but she is also happy to relax and settle in afterward. She can be a little jumpy when excited, but she is gentle and sweet with her enthusiasm. Sugar’s Highlights • Former shelter mom who did wonderfully under pressure • Now thriving in foster care with Pep’s Pals Rescue • Knows “sit” and takes treats gently • Affectionate and people-oriented • Medium energy level • Gentle, loving personality • Would do well in a stable, loving home Sugar has done her job as a mom, and now it is her turn to be someone’s cherished companion. She is ready for a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and part of a family. ****Starbucks is in Texas and can be transported out of state.****** Adoption Fee: $250 plus health certificate and transport (if out of state, varies by location typically $200-$300).This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), spay/neuter, and heartworm test if over 6 months old. Story
Snuggler!MEET BLUE!   Blue is in need of a foster or adopter due to incompatible living circumstances. Blue and Pablo are (adopted) siblings who are just not that into each other. So sadly, one must find new accommodations. One, not both, so if you didn’t have room for Pablo could Blue be the one?? Here’s her pitch for why you should Go Blue!...   “Hi, I’m Blue! My brother and I don’t get along anymore. Do you have any relatives that you just don’t want to hang out with? Yeah, it’s like that. It’s not that I don’t like dogs, but he just bugs me. I’d like to have a say in picking out a new brother or sister! Thanks for understanding.   “I am a little over 6 years old and have been with my family since I was a puppy. We think I am a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier mix. I love people…LOVE PEOPLE! Believe me when I tell you, I have never met a stranger. I currently stay off the furniture but if you let me, I will happily nap on your lap or just sit and watch TV with you. It’s not like I am heavy; I only weigh 46 pounds!    “Being destructive is not in my nature. I don’t touch shoes or chew on anything I am not supposed to. I know what belongs to me and what doesn’t. By the way, my favorite toys are stuffed and make crinkly sounds. After years of toy exploration, I have found what floats my boat!    “I have an easy-going nature but when I am excited over something, I go all in. My exercise requirement is low to medium. I like to walk and sniff. An occasional run is good, but I really enjoy walking and exploring more. I make friends easily, so I would be happy with another dog buddy or even a cat since I had a kitty buddy in the past.”    Blue’s adoption donation fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for Blue by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.March 9, 2026, 12:19 pm

Story
Meet Arya, an adventurous one year old blonde terrier mix. She is a very curious and sweet girl. She loves receiving pets and treats and is very gentle at taking treats by hand (gentler than my small dogs  ). She loves to meet new people and gets super excited to play with any dog/cat she meets. We haven't heard her bark at all; only wining a little bit when she first goes in the crate. But give her a yummy treat and chew toy and she will keep busy! When it is time for downtime though she is good at taking naps in the coziest spot she can find. She is still learning how to walk on a leash and getting better with pulling. We are still working on her potty training as well and could need some encouragement or previous experience with potty training puppies. She has alot of energy so she would thrive in an active household with hikes and walks. Make sure to bring water along though, she loves drinking to cool down in the heat!  Adoption fee includes: first 2 DAPP, bordetella, deworming, flea preventative, sterilized, heartworm test, microchip Adoption fee: $525.00   If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application and a representative will get back to you shortly to answer any questions you may have. This handsome and charming boy is about 65 pounds of pure loyalty, quiet devotion and unconditional love just waiting to find his perfect forever home! A Little About Max: There is something truly special about a dog like Max. He is not the loudest in the room or the first to rush up and demand your attention. Instead Max is the kind of dog who quietly wins your heart completely — and before you even realize what happened you are absolutely and totally devoted to him forever. That is just the kind of magic this boy carries. What Makes Max So Wonderful: Quietly Loyal — Max is the kind of companion who will be right there at your feet through every moment of every day. His trust and loyalty once earned are truly something to treasure Loves Other Dogs — Max genuinely enjoys the company of other dogs making him a wonderful fit for a home with a canine companion already in the family House Trained — Max knows exactly how a household runs and fits right into home life like he has always been there Crate Trained — Max is comfortable and settled in his crate making routines and transitions easy and stress free Walks on a Leash — This good boy walks on a leash making daily walks and outdoor adventures a true pleasure ✨ Charming & Well Behaved — For a one year old puppy Max has manners that will genuinely impress you. He is smart, perceptive and picks up on everything around him — which is exactly what makes him such a remarkably wonderful companion. Max is not the dog who is going to knock you over demanding attention the moment you walk through the door. He is something far more valuable than that. He is the dog who will be quietly waiting for you, always happy to see you and forever grateful that you chose him. This sweet, charming and completely irresistible boy is ready for his forever home. All he needs is someone willing to give him just a little time to show them exactly how extraordinary he truly is. Come meet Max. Hey! I’m looking to rehome my sweet dog, Musa, as I am dealing with health concerns. This decision hasn’t been easy. Musa is a great family dog and is well-behaved. He has been great with children. He enjoys being outside and playing with toys. I’m hoping to find a caring family who can give them the space, attention, and forever home he needs.
