Story
Hello:Redz is a wonderful kind hearted gentleman. He is very kind and plays very nice with big and little dogs. At home he loves snuggling. He loves hugs, attention and praises. He would do great in a loving family with teenagers or no kids. He is kind with humans and he never barks. At home his behavior is excellent, he never chews anything except a bone treat. I am fostering him and I love him so much that I am ready to offer a life long FREE pet sitting to accommodate your travel needs. We do not know how he ended up in a shelter, but he holds no trauma about anything. You won’t be disappointed!

Story
Hi potential adopters! This is my dog, Shady. She is 9 years old. I adopted her 6 years ago from an animal shelter in Texas. She has been the sweetest dog you could imagine since then! Unfortunately, I am moving out of the country and cannot take her with me. I have exhausted the friends and family options, so I hope to find a great new home for Shady on here! Although Shady is 9 years old, she is still so full of energy. She loves going on walks (or runs). She has lived with a cat for the past 6 years, and she is around other dogs often. She gets along with both dogs and cats. I also have 7 nieces and nephews ages 11 and under, and Shady is great with them all. Shady rarely ever barks, which is one of her many great qualities. She also listens well. If you work all day, Shady is used to that schedule. I can leave her at home during the day for up to 12 hours with no issues. She does not get into anything around the house, and can go that long without going outside. Want to meet her?!

Story
Winston is a sweet, playful, curious boy. He's house and crate trained, loves walks, is always ready to play with other dogs, and does well on the leash. He's always ready for a snuggle on the couch, and loves nothing more than a good chew toy (though no soft toys!). He's always ready to pop onto the grass and roll around on his back, particularly in the sun. Winston is enthusiastic and sometimes highly energetic, but responds well to efforts to rein him in when needed. He's very outgoing on walks, polite with strangers and young kids, and very curious about any dogs he meets. He'll quickly match the energy level of other dogs; if they want to horseplay he's ready to go, if they only want to sniff each other he's okay doing that. If a dog is barking at him from the other side of a fence, he sees it as an invitation to play, not something to be afraid of. Long walks and playtime do a great job of tiring him out. He's great outside the home, including outdoor restaurants & cafes.

Story
Meet Blade, our 7-year-old Staffordshire Terrier. We've had him since he was just a puppy, and he has been a cherished part of our family ever since. Due to our current circumstances, we're no longer able to give him the time, attention, and care he deserves. As heartbreaking as it is, we know the most loving thing we can do is find him a new home where he can continue to thrive.Blade is:🐾 7 years old🐾 Staffordshire Terrier🐾 House trained🐾 Indoor/house dog🐾 Not neutered🐾 Has never been bred🐾 Playful, affectionate, and not aggressive🐾 Loves his toys, treats, and being around peopleWe are not looking for just anyone. Blade is family, and we want him to go to someone who will love, protect, and care for him the way we always have. We will be very selective because his well-being means everything to us. We only ask that the new owner allows us to keep in touch and visit Blade from time to time as we are the only family he has ever known. Serious inquiries

Snuggler!MEET BLUE!   Blue is in need of a foster or adopter due to incompatible living circumstances. Blue and Pablo are (adopted) siblings who are just not that into each other. So sadly, one must find new accommodations. One, not both, so if you didn’t have room for Pablo could Blue be the one?? Here’s her pitch for why you should Go Blue!...   “Hi, I’m Blue! My brother and I don’t get along anymore. Do you have any relatives that you just don’t want to hang out with? Yeah, it’s like that. It’s not that I don’t like dogs, but he just bugs me. I’d like to have a say in picking out a new brother or sister! Thanks for understanding.   “I am a little over 6 years old and have been with my family since I was a puppy. We think I am a Staffordshire Bull Terrier/Jack Russell Terrier mix. I love people…LOVE PEOPLE! Believe me when I tell you, I have never met a stranger. I currently stay off the furniture but if you let me, I will happily nap on your lap or just sit and watch TV with you. It’s not like I am heavy; I only weigh 46 pounds!    “Being destructive is not in my nature. I don’t touch shoes or chew on anything I am not supposed to. I know what belongs to me and what doesn’t. By the way, my favorite toys are stuffed and make crinkly sounds. After years of toy exploration, I have found what floats my boat!    “I have an easy-going nature but when I am excited over something, I go all in. My exercise requirement is low to medium. I like to walk and sniff. An occasional run is good, but I really enjoy walking and exploring more. I make friends easily, so I would be happy with another dog buddy or even a cat since I had a kitty buddy in the past.”    Blue’s adoption donation fee is $400, which includes spay/neuter, routine vetting and a microchip. You can apply for Blue by filling out our online application, which is found on our website www.tarashouse.org.  Please email us at info@tarashouse.net with any questions.March 9, 2026, 12:19 pm

Meet Sugar! Sweet • Loving • Gentle Companion Sugar was a devoted mom in a high-intake shelter, where she cared for her puppies despite the stressful environment. She is now safe in foster care with Pep’s Pals Rescue and is ready to find her forever home. Sugar has an affectionate nature and truly enjoys being with her people. She  takes treats gently, and already knows basic commands like “sit.” She is treat-motivated, eager to please, and loves receiving affection from her humans.
