Mabel is a Standard Poodle with a gentle heart. Initially shy, she thrives with a patient adopter who approaches calmly and allows her time to adjust to new surroundings. Once comfortable, her affectionate nature shines—she’s motivated by your praise and loves to learn, picking up new cues with impressive speed. She carries herself with a soft, careful mouth, embodying her sweet and sensitive spirit. Mabel would flourish in a peaceful home where she can become the devoted and elegant pup we know she can become. Since Mabel tends to be on the skittish and shy side we think she would do best in an adult only home or a single person house. She would prefer a quiet house that does not have people coming in and out frequently. Story
Life hasn't always been easy for Finch. Found wandering as a stray, this 43 lb Standard Poodle has had a rough go of it. He arrived here completely matted and with a double ear infection. We acted quickly to remove all the painful matting and take care of his ears, so now he's looking a little bald but he's feeling much better. He is ready to leave his past behind and find a soft place to land. At 2-3 years old Finch is the perfect age. He is past the chaotic puppy teething stage but still has plenty of youthful energy. While his coat is short now, we hope to find a home for him where his new owners will be diligent to keep him groomed so he can remain pain-free and handsome. We have vaccinated and microchipped him, and he will be neutered on 2/18. He is currently on a stray hold until 2/7 to give any previous owners a chance to claim him, but afterwards he will be ready for adoption. We are accepting applications now in case no one comes forward.
