NorCal Poodle Rescue 55 pounds doodle 1 year 1 month $500.00 Hello world! My name is Red. I’m an extremely friendly 55 lb golden poodle mix. I have a lot of energy for long walks and play, but I also know how to relax. I’d rather be on your lap than anywhere else. I already have a lot skills, and am house trained, but I need help working on my leash manners. I wasn’t always treated well in the past by humans, so I need a gentle touch and some patience. I am a quick learner and will be able to adjust to any loving home’s schedule, as long as I get some exercise. I think I’d be best in a home with kids over 10. Whoever my forever family is can look forward to unlimited love and cuddles. Experienced adopters- older children ( teenagers)   Interested adopters should complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form.  An adoption counselor will contact you. We only adopt our dogs to families in Northern California. NorCal Poodle Rescue Lovely retired show dog. 9 years old. Male- 9 years old Loveable dog, likes to follow his person around. Unfortunately his person has passed away and family is unable to care for him. He is a lovely senior citizen who would be a great addition to your family. According to his relinquish form,  Ruger knows come, stay; is microchipped .Ruger is okay with other dogs, unsure about cats and definitely no squirrels. He is active, likes walks, follows family around the house, like children, likes most dogs and has lived with another dog. He sleeps in a dog bed and is crate and leash trained. Since he hates squirrels so much he may not like cats either.  Fee $200.00. $500.00 hold for neutering refunded upon proof of procedure. Story
Gigi was rescued from a crowded shelter. She was dumped in the streets neglected dirty had ear infections long toe nails and skin rash (from poor diet or allergy to dirt/fleas). The shelter bathed her. Gigi was nervous and timid at the shelter but slowly warming up. Gentle and can be petted and handled by shelter staff and vet. Enjoyed being carried. She was timid when she met a larger dog on walk but was fine hanging out. The shelter gave her a medicated bath and treated her ear infections which are now cleared. Now she will get healthy foods twice weekly medicated baths home training walks and extra TLC at her foster home. She will thrive and get healthy. Next will be grooming when she is comfortable and has the week to decompress. She got her vet care 5/25 morning and now relaxing at her great foster home. 3 vets aged her from 6 mos to 1 year. So we put 10 mos for her age. More info. and new photos to come from her foster home. 6/8/24 Update: With healthy foods weekly medicated bath and Earth Bath tea tree spray her under belly rash is gone. She is now healthy. She was just spayed. Foster home groomed her and she looks super adorable. Gigi would love an active doggie playmate at home. More and more she desperately wants to play and roughhouse with foster home's dog now that’s she’s settled in but Lexi is just not a playful dog. Ideally her forever home would have an attached backyard and another young dog to play with. She loves following her foster parents around snuggling long walks and playing/lounging in their yard. Tofu was rescued from a crowded distant shelter where he was a stray since 6/15/24 and he ran out of time. He was neglected severely matted and dirty when found in the streets. He was timid at the shelter but warmed up. He was shaved down and feels much better now. Foster home gave him a double bath and he is now fresh and clean. Tofu was great with his transporter. He was so happy to leave the shelter. Tofu is doing great at his foster home with their two dogs (pack dog) loves his home-made food/treats very sweet friendly playful and precious. Jasmine and Daisy were neglected very dirty and severely matted when we rescued them from a shelter. Both were nervous at the shelter but once out they warmed up and were very sweet. They were probably backyard dogs with no care nor training. Jasmine looks like she had puppies before. Both were groomed and shaved down. They both feel much better now and happy at their foster homes. Jasmine is great with other dogs friendly gentle and affectionate. More info. to come while they relax learn and get healthy at their foster homes So far Jasmine is happier with another small dog at home to hang out with but can be the only the dog at home. She tends to follow her foster parents around. She has learned to go out the doggie door to yard for potty biz.July 22, 2024, 12:34 pm
