She generally gets along well with dogs her size or larger and may enjoy a compatible canine companion. Beau and Lulu are siblings who came to us from an elderly adopter who was moving into a senior living facility which did not allow pets. They have always been extremely well cared for and loved, however were not well socialized with lots of different people. They are a bonded pair and must go to a home together. They are 100% housetrained and love to take long walks. They are good on a leash and come with a leash in which they are linked together. Beau and Lulu would love to find a home in which they are the only pets in the home. They are extremely athletic and have a prey drive with small animals. They will definitely keep the squirrels out of the yard. They are both extremely loving and love to be on your lap or next to you. They bond quickly with new people and done very well in the 2 different foster homes. The reason they would be best as the only pets is they are very protective of one another and while there have no incidents in either of the foster homes with other dogs, they are currently in a foster home with a blind reactive dog who can be aggressive when startled by another animal. The foster has always been there to de-escalate before it becomes problematic. These two would do great with an active family who has older children who understand how to treat pets. They are both very strong and could easily knock a small child over when they get excited. They are both current on all vaccinations including lepto and rabies and both have had a dental within the past year. They

Lulu is a 5+ year old spay female Shih Tzu mix who is bonded with her brother Beau. They came to CJCR from an elderly owner who was moving into a senior living facility which did not allow pets. Beau and Lulu have always been well cared for and loved, however were not socialized with lots of different people. They do not shed and require daily grooming. They are initially shy with strangers, however, will quickly bond to the people in the home. They would love to have a family that is active and can take them on long walks. They would make excellent jogging dogs. The owner was told that they were Japanese Chin/Shih Tzu mixes. We can definitely see the Shih Tzu, but feel that there is zero chance that they have any Chin in them. Due to the athletic ability of the dogs, we suspect there may poodle in the mix. They do no shed and will require regular grooming. The would be best in a home where they are the only pets. They both have a strong prey drive with small animals and are obsessed with chasing squirrels and bunnies. They are mostly quiet with the exception of someone around that they don't know or another animal in the area. They are very loving and loyal and would love to find a forever home.

This is Holly we got her when she was 7 weeks from a private breeder in kansas . She is 2 years old . We are looking for someone who is active and can make sure she gets the excersice she needs since she is very active . Preferably we would like someone with a house and another dog . She loves playing with other dogs a lot and is very friendly with them . She is not aggressive whatsoever and really friendly to everyone. She can be too rambunctious around kids and accidentally knock them over because of her size . She is 75 pounds and fairly large. She has really bad separation anxiety that needs to be addressed. She loves playing but she can be lazy and relax a lot too. She is potty trained and knows simple commands like come, sit , lay down, off, stay, shake, and up. She will need someone who can take the time to train her more as she pulls on the leash and gets into things around the house . She will need some who can cover the cost of regular grooming and vet check ups.

I have a 3 yr old black male whoodle (wheaton terrier/poodle mix). We adopted Theo in 2023 from a breeder in Byers, Co. The breeder is Green Valley Kennel. Theo's birthday is 3/23/23. He is up to date on vaccinations, we take him to Goodheart Vet in Lowry which is in Denver. We have 7 and 11 yr old children. Theo is mainly with us and never around any other dogs other than when we take him on walks. He's never been trained. Theo is very energetic and friendly. At first, with new people he is jumpy and curious and once he establishes trust he is fine, but it takes awhile. I groom and wash Theo myself because tends to get nippy with strangers. I have to place a muzzle on Theo when we go to the vet, to the pet washing store and sometimes on walks. Last September, Theo's vet prescribed Trazadone for him to take prior to bathing and grooming. It has worked out well. Theo travels very well on road trips. He loves carrots, celery, gala apples, canned salmon & tuna. Theo is also crate trained.

Meet Merle, an absolutely gorgeous Cavalier King Charles Spaniel/Poodle mix puppy born April 12, 2026. At 7.8 pounds, he has a silky snow-white and blue merle coat, loose curls, and one beautiful half-blue eye—but his enormous personality may be his most memorable feature. Merle is a devoted snuggle bug who wants to be touching his person whenever possible. He’ll sleep in the nook of your arm, curl up on your chest, warm your feet while you cook, and supervise absolutely everything you do. Close a door between Merle and his human, and you may hear what sounds like an outraged Ewok demanding immediate reinstatement. This playful puppy loves wrestling, chase, keep-away, toys, fetch, snuffle mats, and ball pits. He gets along with small and large dogs, older dogs, male and female dogs, and cats. He has also done well with a considerate 14-year-old. His experience with children under three is unknown. Merle has difficulty being separated from his person and needs a home where someone is present most of the time. He also needs another friendly pet in his adoptive home to provide companionship and help him feel secure. He is crate trained, does well in the car, and is working on potty training and “sit,” with both currently successful about half the time. Merle was rescued from the commercial pet trade and needs a patient family committed to helping him build confidence while giving him the closeness he craves.
