Story
Hi, I’m Kairo and I’m as cool as my name sounds. I’m a 2-year-old Poodle weighing 46 lbs, with a big personality to match my stylish looks. I’m playful, smart and always ready to be part of the action whether that’s heading out for a ride (I love the car!) or hanging out nearby soaking up attention. I’ve got a goofy side, a curious spirit and plenty of love to give. I’m happiest when I’m with my people, learning new things and figuring out how to be the best companion I can be. Favorite Things: Kairo loves to stay busy and engaged. Toys are a must. He enjoys chewing, tossing and playing, especially when he can channel his energy into something fun. He also enjoys time with his people, interactive play and opportunities to move around and explore. Treats are a great motivator, making bonding and learning both enjoyable and rewarding. Training and Manners: Kairo is house-trained with regular breaks and will let you know when he needs to go out. He’s a quick learner who’s already picking up basic commands like sit and stay. He’s still working on leash manners but responds well to guidance. When home alone, he does best in a secure area while continuing to learn boundaries—he may initially vocalize but settles within a few minutes. He also sleeps comfortably in his own bed at night. Health and Care: He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccines. He will just need monthly heart worm and flea/tick preventives, like all dogs. As a Poodle with a beautiful coat, Kairo will need regular grooming to keep his hair healthy and well-maintained. Other Animals: Kairo does well with other pets and enjoys playful interactions with dogs of all sizes. He has also lived successfully with cats, showing curiosity but respecting boundaries when they are set.  Children: Kairo is best suited for a home with older children (8+) due to his size, enthusiasm and energetic play style. He does best with kids who understand how to interact confidently and respectfully with an active dog. Ideal Home: While a single-family home with a secure, fenced yard is ideal for safe play, Kairo can adapt to an apartment or townhome if his activity needs are met. He thrives in a home where someone is around more often, as he enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Kairo will do best with an adopter who understands his energy and is committed to continuing his training building confidence, reinforcing boundaries and supporting the strong progress he’s already making. Overall: Kairo is a fun-loving, affectionate dog with a big heart and an even bigger personality. He brings energy, humor and warmth into every day, balanced by a growing eagerness to learn and connect. With guidance, patience and plenty of engagement, Kairo will continue to thrive and become a loyal, well-rounded companion. He’s truly a special dog ready to grow alongside his forever family. Does Kairo sound like the one for you? If so fill out an application at Poodleandpoochrescue.org and fill out an application. If it seems like a good fit his foster family will reach out. His adoption donation is $525. ##2749655##

Story
Hi, I'm Jeff! Five years old, 68 pounds, and every bit of it devoted to my people. I'm a Standard Poodle with an energetic playful streak, a soft spot for kisses, and a toy habit I'm not even a little sorry about. I am currently looking for a forever family! If you're looking for a dog who's genuinely excited about you, I'm your guy, and I am ready to be someone's whole heart.  Favorite Things: Jeff is a cheese enthusiast who lives for his favorite humans. He's goofy, clever, and totally tuned into the people around him, always ready to make you laugh. He LOVES toys and is never without one, whether he's proudly carrying it around or using it as an invitation for a play session. Jeff's the kind of dog who wants to be in on everything you're doing, and desperately wants to have his person.  Training & Manners: Jeff is housetrained, crate trained, and is fine in a secured area. He’s been working on his leash skills and polishing basic manners and obedience. He’s a smart, eager learner and his foodmotivation makes training fun. He also rides calmly in the car. His adoption includes free training and access to professional trainers to support his continued progress. Health & Care: Jeff recently completed his last heartworm treatment, the finish line is in sight! For just a few more weeks he'll need calm routines and short leash walks while he wraps up his recovery, but once he gets the all-clear, this boy is ready to stretch his legs. Long walks are absolutely his thing, and he can't wait to explore the world with his person by his side. Jeff is neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccinations, and going forward he'll just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives like any dog. Regular brushing and professional grooming will keep his gorgeous poodle coat looking and feeling its best. Other Animals: Jeff bonds deeply with his people, so he'll need to be the only pet in the home. He's working on his leash manners around other dogs and would thrive with an adopter who's patient and consistent, a confident handler who can redirect his focus will set him up for success. Children: Jeff does not have experience with children at this time. Ideal Home: Jeff isn't choosy as to the type of forever home he has, but he will need plenty of playtime and exercise once his rest period is up.   He will thrive with a family who appreciates a bright, affectionate poodle and can offer a predictable routine. He may bark when left alone for long stretches, so structure will help him feel secure. Overall: Jeff is a loving, quirky poodle ready to meet his forever family. Could that be you? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like a good match, our team will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $200. ##2627739##
