Story
Bea is four-year-old giant schnauzer/standard poodle mix. We adopted her from a shelter that rescued her from South Carolina after being thrown from a moving vehicle. Despite her past, she is an absolute sweetheart. She is relentlessly playful and is great with both dogs and kids. Put simply, she's among the most loving animals you'll ever meet. She does tend to get rather anxious when left alone, however, and this will require her new owner to be patient.

Story
Her name is Curly! Gee, I wonder why. A 2-year-old, 40-pound Poodle mix, she was found by a good Samaritan who brought her to rescue. She was severely matted at the time, and she'll need to be groomed periodically. Otherwise? She's great! A jumper, she's a sweet, dog friendly girl (although she does not like cats!), who loves to play and absolutely adores her kennel mate. Just terrific! How about it? Wanna take this curly girl home with you? You won't regret it! (Posted 2/13/26, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **February 13, 2026, 2:56 pm

Story
Meet Ranger (aka Frankie — our “Ole Blue Eyes”) Ranger — who we’ve been calling Frankie — is an incredibly sweet, people-loving puppy who is happiest when he’s close to his humans. He’s the kind of boy who watches you with total devotion, follows your lead, and bonds quickly Frankie happens to be deaf, but don’t let that fool you for a second — it hasn’t slowed him down one bit. In fact, he’s so attentive and tuned into his people that he’s already doing wonderfully with visual cues, learning through eye contact, and staying connected to whoever he’s with. He’s affectionate, playful, and full of puppy joy. What to know about Ranger/Frankie: About 11 weeks old Currently around 20 lbs Mini Bernedoodle (on the larger “mini” side — likely 45–50 lbs full grown) Deaf, but extremely people-focused and affectionate Friendly with dogs and cats High-energy, playful puppy Potty training in progress — going outside with normal puppy accidents Working on leash training Working on crate training — may cry at first, but settles more with consistency   IMPORTANT - A securely fenced backyard is required at this time, as he is still gaining confidence with leash walking and will need a safe, enclosed space for exercise and potty breaks while he continues training. Because he is both a puppy and deaf, Ranger would do best in a home without young children, as little ones may accidentally startle him since he can’t hear them coming. He’d be happiest in a household where someone is home much of the time, and he is not a good fit for apartment living (he can be vocal at times, especially during crate training). Ranger does not resource guard food or treats, but he can growl when you take away items he shouldn’t have — so he’ll need continued training and guidance in that area (which is very common for puppies!). After he’s had his playtime and zoomies, Ranger’s favorite thing is curling up close and snuggling with his people. A home with experience with deaf dogs would be amazing — but what matters most is a family committed to learning and training alongside him as he grows. Ranger is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and a neuter deposit is required as part of the adoption process. He is available for adoption in New Jersey and surrounding areas. To apply, click the link below:https://peytonsplaceanimalrescue.org/adoption-application Ranger has a huge heart and so much potential — he just needs the right home to help him shine. ##2647600##

Story
Meet Percy – Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾 Percy is a 4-year-old Goldendoodle with a heart full of love and energy to match! This playful, affectionate pup is ready to find his forever home where he can thrive as the fun-loving companion he was born to be. Percy is great with other dogs and would love a canine buddy to romp around with. He’s an active boy who enjoys walks, playtime, and plenty of attention. Whether it’s a game of fetch in the yard or a hike on the trails, Percy is always up for an adventure. Because of his enthusiasm and energy, Percy would do best in a home with older kids (12+) who can keep up with his playful spirit. He's not a fan of cats, so a feline-free home is a must. This sweet, curly-coated guy is looking for a family who will give him the love, structure, and activity he needs to be his best self. If you’re looking for a loyal, energetic, and endlessly lovable best friend, Percy might just be your perfect match! Ready to meet Percy? Fill out an adoption application on our website forrescue.net today and come see if he’s the one for you! He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.

Story
Christmas miracle desperately needed! Minnie is a 1 yr old Toy / Mini Poodle weighing in at about 8 lbs. She is a sweet, affectionate, playful, happy-go-lucky little girl who just wants to play with other dogs and cuddle with her people (including kids!). For this reason, we would prefer she go to a home with other dogs and kids, if possible. She is great with dogs of all sizes, small to extra large - she loves them all! What makes Minnie even more special is the fact that a Hero Dog has a greater purpose — saving the lives of fellow pets in urgent need. A “Hero Dog” is one who is specifically donated to our rescue in order to raise CRITICALLY NEEDED funds for life-saving surgeries of other pets in the rescue. Minnie’s $2000 adoption fee is desperately needed to help pay for the recent medical emergencies we’ve been hit with such as Pablo’s rectal prolapse, Cora’s seizures, Irene’s stomach obstruction, and little puppy Jake’s fractured pelvis from being hit by a car - just to name a few. The costs to save their lives are *astronomical* and that’s on top of the treatment of countless dogs with heartworm, regular vetting, emergency boarding, transport, and supplies. And all this while we are facing the highest numbers of animals being euthanized in shelters ever recorded and scrambling daily to save as many innocent lives as possible. Many people do not think twice about ‘purchasing’ a purebred pet from a breeder for thousands of dollars, which simply puts a profit in somebody’s pocket. In this case, the adoption fee/donation is actually used to SAVE THE LIVES of other pets who would have been euthanized because a small 501c3 rescue like ours does not have the necessary funding or adequate donations to do so otherwise. We are completely volunteer-run and exist *solely* on adoption fees and donations. In essence, when you adopt this pet, you may be opening your heart and home to one dog, but you’re actually saving the lives of MANY that would not otherwise be possible. By doing so, you are sponsoring the ability for other pets to have a chance at finding their fairytale ending as well. Thank you for your understanding and for partnering with us in this mission. We are a small team of volunteers with apx. 200 dogs (and some cats, too) in our rescue at any given time, all of whom were saved from death row in high kill shelters or dumped/abandoned in their community. 100% of every dollar donated goes directly to the animals in our care and your adoption donation is tax deductible. ————————————————— If you are interested in learning more about Minnie, please submit an inquiry or call/text Aly at 732-604-0625 and we will happily share additional photos and videos of her and arrange a meet and greet! Thank you for caring about these deserving pets in need!
