She can be a bit shy and modest, though once she trusts those around her, she sticks close by. Blake feels safest around the prescence of others and prefers company over solitude. She is a sweetheart who longs for a family to spend time with her and enjoy being with her as much as she does them. Blake does will around other dogs and cats. This sweet, handsome fella was roaming the city and county for a few months and no one could catch him. We were called in to help and within a few hours he was safe in our care thanks to a citizen helping man the traps. He is very sweet, friendly and loving but he definitely has a checkered past. He does not like to be left alone for too long and can get destructive. Like many dogs here in TN he was neglected to the point where he lost trust in humans. He has now learned that there are some really great humans and so he wants to be with you. He does like to play with other dogs and will do best in a home with another dog or 2 that are friendly and playful. He is also very young (we can only guess) so he needs an active family. He loves water, going for walks and is a great car rider. He does great with kids too. I think he would love a big, fun family to smother him with love and attention. He will need an adopter willing to work with his separation anxiety and help him get over that(there are lots of free resources). He is a Poodle, not sure if he is pure or a mix but he is going to require regular grooming. He is a high maintenance guy looking for the perfect home to meet his needs. Max is a great boy! He's almost two years old and you can tell because he wants to play! He loves chewy, squeak toys that he can fetch. He knows sit, down, stay, wait and come. He needs leash work but he does learn with correction. He is pulling way less on walks but he does get excited to check his markers. He's a friendly fellow. He wants to meet everyone and he remembers people who are kind to him on walks. He loves to run. He's a leggy boy and still growing. My husband and I take him on 2 potty breaks a day and 1-2 exercise walks a day. He needs to build up his stamina even though he's a big pup. He needs a yard and daily exercise. He cannot be around cats. Dogs are okay but he needs to be neutered and have proper, neutral space introductions. (His prior owner kept him on a nylon leash in basement or backyard. He was a matted mess 7 weeks ago.) He's intelligent, cuddly and willing to find his person.
