All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England area and delivered in Pennsylvania and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 150.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 150.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog. Meet Ginny Lynn — a sweet little girl who is still learning that being someone’s dog is a pretty wonderful thing. â¤ï¸ Ginny Lynn is a 45 pound, one-year-old Poodle mix who, along with her 2 brothers, was abandoned when a tenant left them and her grey Poodle dad, behind at a cabin in the woods. They were actually all 4 left in crates and had to wait to be discovered and rescued many days later. They had known both indoor and outdoor life before that, but suddenly being left behind like that was a pretty confusing and scary experience for these pups. So, it’s no surprise that Ginny can be a little sensitive when everything around her is new. She may not be the one who marches through the door on day one like she owns the place. She’s more of a “let me look around, figure this out and make sure everything is okay” kind of girl. And honestly, once she decides everything really is okay, she is pretty amazing and sweet. She has been living in a house now and is doing well. She is discovering the joys of being comfortable, having a soft place to curl up and getting to spend his days around people. She’s learning that a house isn’t something to be unsure of—it’s where the good stuff happens. Ginny Lynn is smart, loving and eager to learn. She just needs someone who understands that confidence doesn't always happen overnight. Give her a little patience, a predictable routine and some kindness, and you’ll get to watch this sweet girl come out of her shell. Once she settles in, expect a happy little companion who wants to be part of things. Jack is a handsome 5 year-old, 60 lbs black Standard Poodle who is finally getting the opportunity to discover what it means to be part of a family. Originally his life started off being purchased as a puppy for one purpose — to be a breeding dog. He was never given the chance to live inside, curl up beside his people, learn the routines of a household or simply be someone's companion. Hi! My name is Rollo and I am looking for a forever home. I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a scary place called a shelter where, after no one came to claim me, I was about to be put on something bad called 'the list". Fortunately for me, BCAA saw me and said they would help me ... yeah! I appear to be standard poodle mixed with maybe a golden, maybe a lab?, but whatever as my foster mom says that once my hair comes back in I will be one handsome dude (I had to be shaved down 'cause my coat was in such a hot mess ... see my "before pic"). When she first took me to the vet, it was discovered under all my hair that I had a pretty nasty wound around my underbelly and side which actually took some stitches (you can see this in a couple of my pics). The other thing they found once I got shaved down was that even though I weighed in at 49lbs, I needed to put on some weight which has turned out to be not such a bad thing as I now get extra kibble in all my meals along with more treats! I'm about 18mos old but act like a young adolescent as I have lots of energy which is a little overwhelming for the other smaller dogs I have met. But don't worry, one-on-one with you I become a cuddle bug and love attention. I've shown a little interest in the cats but so far haven't been aggressive with them. I have done really well in my crate without any accidents or tearing up of my bedding; however, I would really prefer to be out with you and will let you know not to forget about me if I see or hear you. I am ok on leash but will pull some in my excitement on being out and about. Pablo has done well in doggie day care, although he'll bark at big dogs until he feels comfortable, He has lived with another dog but has had no exposure to cats. He's fine with kids. He loves plastic, textured toys but will destroy stuffies and dog beds. He does well in his crate with a blanket or towels. He does have a bit of separation anxiety so his owner will leave the radio on for him while she's out. He is home during the day for 6-8 hours but would do best with someone home more.
