She was found as a stray alongside another dog, arriving matted, thin, and in need of care. Thanks to patience, kindness, and good nutrition, Deanna has completely blossomed her coat has grown back beautifully, and shes now a shining example of resilience and second chances. While her exact breed mix is a mystery, we like to say Deanna is amagnificent mutt possibly a poodle/terrier mix, but truly one of a kind. At approximately 4 years old and around 10 pounds, shes a petite bundle of energy with a playful spirit and a big personality packed into a small frame. Deanna absolutely loves other dogs and thrives with canine companionship. She enjoys playtime but is just as happy curling up close when the fun winds down. Shes doing well with both crate and house training, especially when her person pays attention to her cues shes polite and communicative and just wants to be understood. One of Deannas favorite things in the world is cuddling. She adores affection and will happily snuggle her way right into your heart. Mistletoe is a little sweetheart and she has tons of personality! Her mom is a small B&W rat terrier mix and dad is a doodle. Mom was taken in as a stray by a lady with an unaltered doodle. Before she could find a rescue to help with mom, she became pregnant. Mistletoe, th runt in the litter, is friendly, loving and smart! She is great with other dogs and people of all ages. She has not been around a cat yet but we are confident she will be fine with proper intro. Being the runt, she always seems to end up on the bottom and she still plays hard and never gets mad! Mistletoe is healthy, UTD on puppy shots and worming. She will be spayed and microchipped before going to her forever home. Per Volunteer 1/19: Meet Pluto — a sweet, neglected girl who is a heartbreaking reminder of why we need to stop irresponsible breeding and why shelters are not just full of pitties. This angel was surrendered because her owner was moving, but the condition she came in is truly devastating. Matted from head to toe and absolutely terrified of the loud shelter environment. She was very nervous at first, but after I sat with her for a while — with some pepperoni, other treats, and gentle, kind words — she slowly began to trust me. She leaned in for pets and found comfort just being close, and it completely broke my heart. Pluto deserves a loving home that will show her what real love, patience, and care look like.
