Mia is crate trained, house trained, and even uses a bell to let you know when she needs to go outside. She loves meeting new people and is great with children and adults of all ages—honestly, she's never met a stranger and would happily accept pets from anyone who'll give her attention! This handsome poodle—possibly golden retriever—mix was found tied to a porch, and we’re so glad our partner rescue stepped in to help him find a better situation. He wasn’t in the best shape when he was found, but after a trip to the groomer, this sweet, stoic boy is settling in beautifully with his foster. He seems to be house- and crate-trained, gets along well with other dogs, and is friendly with everyone he meets. Lucky has energy to spare, especially first thing in the morning or when he comes out of his crate. After spending time tied to a porch, can you blame him for wanting to run? He’s making up for lost time, and it’s wonderful to see him enjoying himself. Lucky is neutered, up to date on vetting, and ready for a home where he can keep moving forward. Could you be his lucky break? Lucky is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. He has been neutered and has a microchip. His adoption fee is $500. Motherly Millie has spent most of her life being someone's 'Mother' over and over again for no reason except to make money for an insensitive owner. Now, just four months after her last of many litter, she is finally getting the chance to discover what it feels like to simply be someone's beloved dog. Millie is a beautiful, white, 58 pound Standard Poodle who was purchased as a puppy to be a breeding mother. For the past five years, she lived outdoors with her canine companions and raised litter after litter of puppies producing income for the owner. No love shown to Millie...just expectations to 'produce and perform' her duty as a mother dog. Her last babies were born just four months ago, so Millie is still very much a girl who has spent her life giving everything she had to caring for others. Now, her life is changing. When Millie was surrendered, Critter Cavalry was proud to step in and promised to help her find the kind of home she has never known — a real home where she can come inside, be part of a family, be loved for who she is, and finally have someone take care of her. This sweet girl has so much to offer in return for being a part of. Millie is incredibly affectionate and loves people and children. She has gotten along well with her canine companions and has a gentle, friendly nature that makes it easy to see how much she wants to connect with people. Meet Caesar! This handsome 2-year-old, 75-pound boy was found wandering in the country with no one to claim him. Thankfully, a kind neighbor contacted the shelter after a few days, and Caesar is now ready for his next chapter. After a dna test we found out Caesar is 50/50 Poodle and Great Pyrenees. When he arrived, his coat was quite matted, but underneath it all was a healthy, happy boy who had clearly known love at some point—he’s already neutered and seems to be house trained. Caesar is friendly, gentle, and eager for attention. He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves. Meet Ginny Lynn — a sweet little girl who is still learning that being someone’s dog is a pretty wonderful thing. â¤ï¸ Ginny Lynn is a 45 pound, one-year-old Poodle mix who, along with her 2 brothers, was abandoned when a tenant left them and her grey Poodle dad, behind at a cabin in the woods. They were actually all 4 left in crates and had to wait to be discovered and rescued many days later. They had known both indoor and outdoor life before that, but suddenly being left behind like that was a pretty confusing and scary experience for these pups. So, it’s no surprise that Ginny can be a little sensitive when everything around her is new. She may not be the one who marches through the door on day one like she owns the place. She’s more of a “let me look around, figure this out and make sure everything is okay” kind of girl. And honestly, once she decides everything really is okay, she is pretty amazing and sweet. She has been living in a house now and is doing well. She is discovering the joys of being comfortable, having a soft place to curl up and getting to spend his days around people. She’s learning that a house isn’t something to be unsure of—it’s where the good stuff happens. Ginny Lynn is smart, loving and eager to learn. She just needs someone who understands that confidence doesn't always happen overnight. Give her a little patience, a predictable routine and some kindness, and you’ll get to watch this sweet girl come out of her shell.
