Story
Meet Gracie, a beautiful 6-year-old apricot standard poodle. At roughly 65 lbs, she’s a healthy, spayed girl. She is current on all vaccines and has enjoyed regular vet check-ups since puppyhood. She is trained and knows the basics of “sit,” “lay,” “paw,” and more, and she’s completely housebroken. Gracie adores kids (our own have grown up loving her), welcomes adults and other dogs with a happy tail wag, and makes instant friends at the dog park. Fetch, tug-of-war, and any game that involves a ball are her absolute favorites, and she never turns down a run around the yard. She loves to cuddle and of course she loves back and head rubs. Re-homing Gracie is a truly difficult decision for our family. Our oldest child was born with dog-dander allergy and requires daily medication. After nearly a year of deciding, we know the kindest choice—for both child and pup—is to find Gracie a new home where she’ll be just as cherished. She is pretty energetic, when outside she loves to run around chasing the ball etc...(even though she is 6, she still acts like a puppy sometimes)   Currently she's left alone for 2-3 hours but when I worked outside the home she used to be by herself 6-8 hours. She never had any accidents at home and we do not put her in a crate. She also doesn't chew anything besides her own toys.    She does well with other dogs and cats (as long as they are ok with her). She's not territorial and is very friendly (submissive).  If she doesn't like something, she will just walk away.    If you’re looking for a joyful, loyal companion, Gracie might be the perfect addition to your family. Please reach out—we’d love to introduce you.   (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTACTING US! Story
I adopted Sunny in Florida 2 years ago in April. He was a Christmas puppy who was not picked up. I just had the same dog breed die from an accident and we were heartbroken. Sunny is fully potty trained and can hold and wait for you 12 hours plus. He is great at home, easy, loves his crate for overnight sleeping. He doesn’t like other dogs. While walking he barks and jumps on other dogs. We have a blind old dog and rabbit and cat at home and he has no issues. Sunny is very protective of his house. Why am I putting him up for adoption - divorce. I work a lot! My other pets don’t need me home. Sunny will do great in a house with yard, kids and people home. All he wants to do is be around people. He is affectionate, loves to eat. I am Never home and he is bored.

Story
James is an 18-pound mini tan poodle, born in April 2023, with a soft coat, soulful eyes, and a heart full of potential. Though a bit shy at first, James is a thoughtful, observant pup who takes in the world around him with quiet curiosity. With a little patience and a lot of love, he’s already showing just how much he wants to connect. James came from a puppy mill, and life in a home is still new to him—but he’s making incredible progress every day. He’s formed a sweet bond with his female caretaker, a touching sign of his growing trust and capacity for love. His social confidence is blooming, too—James now gets along well with dogs of all sizes and genders, and nothing makes him happier than playing with his canine friends. These joyful moments aren’t just fun for James—they’re helping him heal. He’s pee pad trained and working on his potty training, showing a willingness to learn and adapt. James would thrive in a calm, patient home with teens or adults (young kids may be too much for his sensitive nature) and would absolutely flourish with a friendly dog companion to show him the ropes and share in his journey. James may have had a rough start, but he’s proof that love can change everything. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion and are ready to give him the guidance and kindness he deserves, James is ready to return that love tenfold. Open your heart and home to James—he’s waiting to meet you. Apply today: https://www.hart2heartanimalrescue.com/forms/form?formid=6527
