Story
Stella is a 3.5-year-old, 45-pound dog whose life has been shaped by both deep love and repeated loss. None of it her fault. She was first surrendered to ACCT Philly due to seizures, placing her at risk with a time-stamped outcome. From there, she was rescued by Familiar Hearts Animal Society, given the care she needed, and finally adopted into a home of her own. For a while, Stella had what every dog deserves. But after nine months, she was returned. Again because of her seizures. And still, Stella remains exactly who she has always been :: a happy, gentle, deeply loving soul. She has a beautiful balance of energy, content to lounge by your side, yet quick to invite another dog into a playful game. She’s easy on leash, a wonderful walking companion, and adaptable to a variety of homes. Stella is especially tender with other animals, doing well with dogs and even cats, and she lights up around people, particularly children. Stella does have epilepsy, which means she will always experience seizures. Most are brief focal episodes lasting just seconds and don’t seem to interrupt her joy or engagement with life. Less frequently, she may have more significant seizures. She is on medication to help manage them, and her care team continues to learn what her “normal” looks like as her patterns evolve. What’s important to understand is this :: Stella is not a dog waiting to be fixed. She is a dog already living a full, connected, and joyful life. She is looking for a home that can meet her with steadiness and compassion. Someone who isn’t afraid of her diagnosis, but instead sees the extraordinary dog in front of them :: the one who keeps choosing joy, connection, and play, no matter how many times her world has changed. Stella has been let go more than once. She deserves this next home to be the one that holds. Apply to adopt her at https://www.familiarhearts.org/adoption-application. When approved, you can coordinate your meeting with her foster. Kennel License 18972

Maverick is a wonderful boy that was too much for his previous owner to handle. He needs a very active owner and a fenced yard to run and play. He could knock down a small child. He has been completely vetted and microchipped. He loves to run and play with the other dogs. Transportation to an area near you is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. Story
Hi!  My name is Cash and I am looking for a forever home.  I was found roaming and after my owners were located and said they didn't want me, a volunteer w/ a small rescue contacted BCAA to see if they could help me and they said yes!  When I first got into foster, at about a year old everyone thought I was a goldish-colored goldendoodle and while my coat was in pretty bad shape, they thought I appeared to be a good weight at maybe 55-60lbs; but boy did I have some secrets!  When I first got on the scales, I weighed in at 45lbs, and then came the grooming and everything was revealed ... I am actually pretty skinny, plus I am white with tan spots with a docked tail! Now we are thinking maybe I'm a parti poodle. (Seee my before picture along w/ what was cut off of me at the end of my pictures.) And while I had to be shaved all the way down and am not currently at my best looking, give me a little time and my foster mom says I will be sooooo handsome!  The best part, in addition to extra food at breakfast and dinner time, I get a another bowl of food right before going to bed.  Foster mom also says I have a great personality as I love getting attention from anyone willing to give it to me, I have gotten along with the other big and medium sized dogs I have met, and so far haven't bothered the cats I've encountered.  While I would definitely prefer to be out with you, I have done good in my crate without any accidents or barking.  I am good on leash and enjoy going on adventures.  If you think you might be interested in meeting me, please fill out an application which can be found at http://www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
Winston is a big fluffy happy high energy boy! He is very sweet, loves hard and plays hard. Winston cannot go to a home with kids due to his mouthy form of play. There is no aggression just overly excited. He does know a few basic commands and takes treats very nicely. He does need some basic training especially on leash, he pulls and crisscross in front of you while walking. He can be very reactive to strangers when out walking as well. All that aside his personality is fantastic. He is an oversized puppy at heart and loves every person he meets. As far as other dogs we don`t know how he will be, but we are willing to try a dog meet if you already have a dog in the home. walking in the kennels he does seem to gravitate towards the quieter dogs.

Story
Zeke is ready to take on his next adventure but don`t let his size fool you this guy embraces his Ausie side! Zeke is no couch potato. A beautiful day for him would be loading up in the car and making a stop for coffee and a pup cup then off to do some serious walking in a park or on trails. Then back home to guard the yard from every bird and squirrel that dare approach his outback. Now understand that dinner and a snuggle fest watching a movie or a lazy rainy Saturday in bed is fun for this guy to but he needs that slice of excitement in his life as well.According to the former owner he is crate trained and housebroken. He has lived with both cats and dogs, loves the car, and loves exercise. No kids for Zeke. Are you looking for a fluffy companion that`s the perfect size to toss in the car and spend the day having new adventures with? Come meet this guy!!!

Story
Meet Streusel! Fostered in Long Valley, NJ This gorgeous 1½-year-old Standard Poodle (52 lbs) is as sweet as they come! Streusel loves belly rubs, cheese , leisurely walks, and being right by your side. When she's done exploring, she's happiest curled up on the couch next to her favorite people. Streusel is still learning that the world is a safe place. She's made amazing progress in foster care and is just beginning to discover how much fun it is to play! She's still building confidence, and a friendly, confident dog sibling is a MUST! After spending time with another dog, she truly blossomed and even started to play. She needs a furry best friend to help her continue becoming the happiest version of herself. She's doing well on leash, is working on potty training, and will need a patient family to help her continue learning. She gets nervous in the car, but with love and time, this beautiful girl continues to grow every day. Spayed Microchipped Up to date on vaccines Could Streusel be the missing piece to your family? Story
My female goldendoodle (7 years old, 50 lbs) and male Irish Terrier (not yet 1 years old, 30 lbs) had an accidental litter. This mixture are called Irish Golden Troodles. Three male pups are available. These male pups were born March 26th so will be 3 months old in late June. The have had 2 of the 3 recommended courses of dewormer. So completion of their vaccinations/dewormer depends on when they are rehomed.Looking to find good homes for them. I am not a breeder. They started their DAPP series at 11 weeks old and have had 1 of the 3 shots. New homes should be families who have time, energy, and resources to devote to a puppy (house training, all commands, neutering, microchipping, etc.).
