Buster is an adorable 7 year old Poodle mix weighing about 11 pounds. He came into our care after unexpected life changes left his family unable to keep him. Buster is a happy, affectionate little guy with plenty of personality. He adjusted quickly to his foster home, exploring his new surroundings, wagging his tail and happily greeting the other dogs. He's intelligent, athletic and loves to play. One of his favorite games is tossing a tennis ball into the air so you'll throw it for him again! Buster enjoys being active, but he's also an affectionate boy who loves spending time with his people and giving kisses. Buster is microchipped and looking for a loving forever home where he'll have plenty of opportunities to play, have fun and be part of the family. He has lots of love and personality packed into his little 11 pound body and is ready to share it with someone special. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Meet Caesar! This handsome 2-year-old, 75-pound boy was found wandering in the country with no one to claim him. Thankfully, a kind neighbor contacted the shelter after a few days, and Caesar is now ready for his next chapter. After a dna test we found out Caesar is 50/50 Poodle and Great Pyrenees.  When he arrived, his coat was quite matted, but underneath it all was a healthy, happy boy who had clearly known love at some point—he’s already neutered and seems to be house trained. Caesar is friendly, gentle, and eager for attention.  He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves.  He’ll thrive with a family ready to give him the care, grooming, and affection he deserves. Caesar has shown some guarding tendencies so it's best if he is in a home without kids or other dogs and with adopters who are willing to give him his space. If you’d like to make Caesar part of your family, please fill out an adoption application at www.peace4paws.org/adoption-application on your laptop or computer. Story
Hi, I’m Nala! I’m a 3 year-old Poodle weighing about 60 pounds, and I’m as loving and loyal as they come. I’m already spayed, housebroken, and ready to make myself right at home with my new family. My current owner moved to Texas and sadly didn't take me along, so I’m hoping to find a new place to call forever. I’m great with kids and other dogs, and I have a sweet, gentle personality with just a touch of goofy energy—sometimes I get so excited I do a little jump! I’m very food motivated, which makes me an eager learner, and I absolutely love curling up in my crate at night for some cozy rest. I’d thrive in a home with a yard where I can stretch my legs, explore, and play before settling in for some cuddles. If you think I might be the perfect new addition to your family, please apply to adopt me at https://peace4paws.org/adoption-application from your laptop or computer. I can’t wait to meet you and start our new chapter together! If you have specific adoption or foster questions, please email: judy.atchison@yahoo.com THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN RESCUING A DOG! Story
*Charlie is a courtesy post and is not located at or affiliated with Paws Crossed Animal Rescue A message from Charlie's caregiver - Charlie is 6 years old, neutered, and healthy. We rescued him from a shelter when he was about 6 months old. In the 5+ years we've had him, he's been a good, loyal, energetic, and well-fed boy. However, after we had a baby, circumstances became much more challenging. He's perpetually anxious, jealous, and often possessive/triggered by our toddler/her toys. We want to expand our family, but can't with the on-going stress of not being able to leave Charlie unattended around babies. As much as we love him, we think he would be happier in a more peaceful home without young kids. It's a very sad situation for us because we love him. We want to find him a caring new owner and make sure he's loved. Thanks for reading and please message me if you think you'd be a good match for Charlie, or know someone who is.Please text Irene's cell: 914-374-8732 August 22, 2026, 11:52 am

Story
Corky ❤️ A Sweet Boy Just Waiting to Feel Safe Corky is a handsome little poodle mix, who is about a year old and weighing 53 pounds, has been through a pretty big change in his young life. Corky and his brothers were left behind at a cabin when the renter moved away. For these dogs, that cabin and the life they knew was their entire world — and suddenly, everything familiar was gone. The man who raised them just disappeared and abandoned them. Because of that, Corky is understandably very shy when he is in a new or unfamiliar situation. New places, new people, and especially busy environments can be overwhelming for him here in his first week of being away from the original place he was born. If you take the time to slow down and let Corky figure things out at his own pace, you begin to see a completely different dog. Once Corky honestly settles in and realizes he is safe, he is an incredibly sweet boy. When we met him in a setting where he felt more comfortable, he was friendly and gentle. The shy behavior we see in unfamiliar places isn't who Corky is at his heart — it's simply how he copes when he isn't sure what is happening around him. Corky has lived with other dogs, including his dad and brothers, and seems comfortable having canine companionship around him. He enjoyed being outside and having the familiar routine of his previous life. We think another confident, friendly dog could potentially be a wonderful companion for him as he learns to trust and experience new things. Please don't let his initial shyness fool you — this boy is smart! Corky is very trainable and has so much potential. With patience, consistency, positive reinforcement, and someone willing to celebrate the little victories, we believe his confidence will continue to grow. He may need a little extra time in the beginning, but every step forward will be worth it.   At the vet, Corky is especially shy and overwhelmed, which isn't surprising given everything that is new to him. But when he is somewhere he feels comfortable, we see that sweet personality starting to emerge. He just needs someone who understands that trust isn't built overnight.   Corky will do best with an adopter who is willing to support him on his journey rather than expect him to immediately be the confident, outgoing dog he may eventually become. He needs someone patient and kind, someone who will give him a safe place to decompress, a predictable routine, and plenty of encouragement. There is something especially rewarding about watching a shy dog realize that he is finally home. We believe Corky has the potential to become a wonderful, loving companion once he has the security and stability he has been missing. He didn't choose to be left behind. He didn't choose to have his whole world change. But with the right person beside him, Corky can learn that the next chapter of his life can be so much better than the first.    Corky is looking for someone who will give him the time, patience, and love he needs to blossom. In return, we think he will give you something pretty special — the joy of watching a sweet, smart little dog finally discover that he is safe, loved, and home.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested in being the lifechanging person and family in Corky's life. Story
Izzy is a sweet and gentle 8 year old Poodle mix weighing about 10 to 11 pounds. She came into our care after unexpected life changes left her family unable to keep her. From the moment she arrived in her foster home, Izzy handled the transition beautifully. She explored her new surroundings, greeted the other dogs and quickly showed everyone what a loving little girl she is. Izzy has a calm, affectionate personality and loves being close to her people. She enjoys attention, cuddles and simply being part of the family. She was adopted as a puppy and has spent her life as a cherished companion, so she would love a home where she can once again settle in and be someone's special little girl. Izzy has some allergies that we are currently treating. She is microchipped and ready to find a loving forever home where she can spend her days giving kisses and soaking up all the love she deserves. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Story
Sophie is a tiny 15 year old Maltese Poodle mix weighing just under 8 pounds. She is polite gentle and very sweet. Her favorite place is simply near her person. She coexists well with other small dogs and has an easygoing presence. Sophie came into rescue when her owner could no longer care for her. It took her a few days to adjust but she is settling in beautifully and showing her soft affectionate personality. Her eyesight is good and her hearing is still fairly strong for her age. She does have a heart murmur but is not on any medication at this time. She doesn't love being left alone so we are hoping to find her a calm quiet home where someone is around most of the time. Sophie is a lovely little soul looking for comfort companionship and a soft place to land for her golden years. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1.
