Meet Cooper! Breed: standard poodle. He was matted and had to be shaved down. Age: est 2 years. Weight: est 49lbs, needs to gain some weight. We think he should be about 60lbs. Training: crate & leash trained, doing well with housetraining in his foster home. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes. Good with adults/kids? Yes. Personality: a little shy at first and when in new situations. He warms up to be friendly, playful, and affectionate. He hasn't had many life experiences and s he will need a patient and understanding family as he adjusts to life as a companion. He would do best with a fenced yard and/or another dog in the home. Reason for rescue: breeder retiring. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. **Please take a moment to read the bio in full before reaching out—this helps us respond quickly and efficiently.** Meet Nina! Breed: standard poodle. Age: est 1.5 years old. Weight: approx 50lbs. Training: crate trained, we are working on house and leash training. She will need continued training as she hasn't had many life experiences. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes, in fact, we believe she would do best with another dog in her new home to show her the ropes! Good with adults/kids? Yes, she is shy at first but she is curious. Personality: she is submissive/shy with people, especially at first. Her tail never stops wagging. She wants attention, but she is reluctant to accept it. She is still learning all about life as a companion. Reason for rescue: breeder release, retiring. * A fenced yard and another dog in her new home is required. She would do best with a confident dog in her new home who can help guide her and show her the ropes. Nina is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. Story
Cooper is one of the cuddliest dogs you'll meet, has never met a stranger and loves any and all attention you give him. He is 4 years old. He's pretty chill around the house when on his own but gets very energetic when he starts playing with someone or another dog. He's very gentle and careful with our toddler but can also get playful with older kids. He really loves attention, pets and cuddles, and we believe he'd thrive being the only dog where he can get all the love. He does get very excited and a little anxious when he meets new dogs but once he gets comfortable and settles in, he doesn't have any issues. He's been around cats a few times and gets really excited about them, but I'm sure would accept as part of the family. He is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Given that he is a poodle, he's prone to ear infections due to how much hair grows in his ear canal and traps moisture so consistent ear maintenance is essential.

MeShell MaBelle is a story of quiet endurance and beautiful transformation. At three years old and 60 pounds, this striking black Standard Poodle embodies everything people love about the breed — intelligence, sensitivity, and a deep emotional awareness of her people. For much of her early life, MeShell tried to be content with limited interaction and long hours alone. While she loved her family, the lack of stimulation and extended crate confinement placed stress on her gentle system, eventually leading to a diagnosis of Addison’s Disease — a condition that is very manageable, especially in a home built on routine, consistency, and love. Everything changed when MeShell entered foster care. Surrounded for the first time by open skies, fresh air, and patient guidance, she began discovering what life could be. On a lively farm filled with dogs of all sizes, curious cats, horses, donkeys, and even pigs, MeShell absorbed new experiences with quiet determination. She learned how to play, how to relax in the presence of others, and how to take joy in simple freedoms — running through tall grass, resting near trusted humans, and curling up beside a canine companion at the end of the day. Today, MeShell is a happy, affectionate, and energetic girl who thrives on companionship and gentle structure. Bentley is neutered, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Bentley does have some dental tartar, as noted in his vet records. He will likely need a dental in the next 12-18 months. Weight: 61.7 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? Yes - Bentely has never lived without a fenced in yard and needs leash training. Bentley requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller. What kind of home would be best for me? Bentley is looking for a calm, mellow, and predictable home environment where he can settle in at his own pace. Loud or constantly changing surroundings may be overwhelming for him, and he will need time to adjust and feel secure in his new space. With a peaceful home, understanding adopters, and a steady routine, Bentley has all the potential to blossom into a devoted, affectionate companion who will reward your patience with quiet loyalty and love.  Bentley would truly thrive in a home with another dog, as he gains confidence by following the lead of more social companions. However, an experienced home familiar with timid or rescue dogs could also be a great fit, provided he continues to have regular, positive interactions with other dogs outside the home. What is my personality like? Bentley is a 3-year-old, 60-pound Standard Poodle with a gentle spirit and a warm, happy smile that instantly draws you in. Sweet and kind by nature, Bentley carries himself with a quiet confidence and a calm presence that makes him easy to be around and easy to love. He does well with other dogs and is comfortable holding his own, though he prefers polite, respectful canine companions and is not a fan of overly pushy dogs. While he often looks to other dogs for reassurance, Bentley is also capable of exploring and building confidence independently once he feels safe. Bentley has been groomed regularly throughout his life and does very well on the grooming table, making routine care a smooth and stress-free experience.  How do I act when I first meet new people? As Bentley has never truly lived life as a household pet, everything about being in a home will be new to him. He will need time, patience, and gentle guidance to understand what it means to live indoors, follow daily routines, and learn basic house manners and training. Other tips and tidbits: Bentley's birthday is 07/24/2022. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained.  A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. We cannot guarantee that she is hypoallergenic or that she won't shed. Weight: 61 lbs Height: 24 in Spayed/Neutered: Yes Adoption Fee: $699 Fence needed? No. Ginger can and will jump a 6-foot fence. She requires a dedicated adopter who can ensure her safety when outdoors. She cannot be left outside alone ever. What kind of home would be best for me? Ginger is looking for a calm, patient home where she can be a companion to an existing dog. She truly thrives with canine companionship and must have another dog in the home to help her feel secure and confident. Ginger is the dog you adopt when your dog needs a dog!  Ginger is still learning that humans are a safe source of love and affection, and she will not be placed in a home with children under 18.  She does best in a quieter environment without the hustle and bustle of young children. Ginger requires an adopter who is experienced in socialization and rehabilitation and understands that some dogs will always be shy and shut down. Ginge will improve but she will most likely never be a social butterfly.  No need for walks.  She would just as soon stay home.   Ginger has never lived in a home before and will need time, patience, and understanding as she learns household routines, expectations, and basic training skills, including walking on a leash. She is a gentle soul who comes around slowly, but once she does, she shows her sweet and affectionate nature. What is my personality like? Ginger has lived a very sheltered life. She spent more time outside than in and human interactions were very limited. You will teach her everything - about companionship, how to be a pet, and what living in a home looks like. It will take time. Likely lots of time.  While Ginger enjoys affection, she will likely always be more of a "dog's dog." She isn't looking to be the center of attention in a large, busy household-instead, she prefers to share love and companionship with another dog. With time, guidance, and a lot of patience, Ginger will grow into the wonderful dog we know she can be. How do I act when I first meet new people? Ginger is timid meeting new people.
