Story

Say hello to this sweet-tempered oldster named Julius. He was picked up by one of our officers as a stray on 6/6 and brought to the Mesquite Animal Shelter. Julius is a Schnauzer weighing 22 pounds, at about 13 years of age and is neutered. He walks beautifully on a leash. He did his business immediately upon entering the yard so may well be house trained. He is well mannered, calm, and gentle. He is amiable and sociable, and A-OK with receiving loving attention. He had quite a few burrs in his fur when he arrived, indicating he may have been out wandering around for a while. He is badly in need of a groom. Julius has a low-key personality and just seemed to enjoy wandering around and checking out the environment whether outdoors, or in our meet and greet room. Sweet senior boy is rescue only due to his advanced age. We are hoping to find a home for him, in which he could live out his golden years in comfort and with plenty of TLC.
