Story
***Wade is available for adoption in foster and is not currently at the Marin Humane location.*** Wade is an interesting guy! He is dashingly handsome, quite playful, and super social. He will play until he is panting tired (sometimes jumping off walls chasing his wand toy), and he makes quick work of his food and treat puzzles (handsome AND smart!). Wade loves to be around his people and greets us with leg rubs while enjoying a few pets. He's talkative and pretty darn cute, too, with his pink nose and toes (they turn extra pink when he's playing hard!). Wade is hard to resist when he's rolling around and being adorable, but he has limits on how much petting he wants. Because he can overstimulate, Wade is looking for a cat-experienced adult household that can read his signals. He may take some time to adjust in his new home, but give him time and lots of things to do and soon he'll be loving his new home and family! If you would like to learn more about Wade, please call Adoptions at (415) 506-6225. Primary Color: White Weight: 11.4 Age: 3yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Our big boy Seamus has been on quite the journey lately, showing back up at Hopalong barely able to get to his litterbox or jump, due to his larger size. Now, after many attentive weeks in foster, he's lost a few pounds and he's becoming more mobile and active! He is well on his way to a healthier adult cat lifestyle and just needs to find his new people that will firmly decline his requests for extra portions. Overall, he is a sweet loverboy and has a humble way about him that is hard to resist. What he is no longer allowed in extra calories, he will gladly accept now in loads of extra love! ***ADOPTION FEE PAID*** Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 20.6 Age: 8yrs 3mths 2wks

Story
Kelci and Lark are a brother-sister bonded pair who would do well in a quiet home. Here's what their foster says about them: "Little Kelsey is such a joy! She has the sweetest little meow especially in the morning. She loves to come to you for cheek scratches and neck rubs, then she flops down for chin rubs (but she still doesn't like to be picked up). She and Lark are bonded and have a great time playing by taking turns chasing each other or hiding behind corners to surprise each other. They can spend a solid hour running around the house together and also love the wand toy. Lark is a bit more timid and reserved, but he really is such a sweetie. He needs patience to establish trust with you, but once he does, he will give you endless slow blinks. He gives subtle clues that he likes you, like laying closer to you after a play session, coming to take a Churu from you, or eventually letting you pet the back of his neck. He watches Kelci get petting and I can tell he wants it, too. With a little more time, he would have melted into pets, too. They both will make incredible companions!" Primary Color: Orange Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 6.9 Age: 1yrs 0mths 2wks

Story
Nell is a bundle of crazy cat play energy! Wand toy play is a must for her as she loves to stalk, leap, and race around the room chasing the mouse wand toy. (She would probably be quite the mouser and would likely enjoy outside time in a safe yard). Nell will turn just about anything into a toy to keep herself entertained. She wants to and needs to be able to do cat things, like jump fantastically through the air and use her muscles to climb and explore.Nell is also very confident, personable, and affectionate in short bursts. She needs a cat savvy home who can read her body language. Her guardian needs to read when she needs playtime to burn off that crazy cat energy and when she is ready to settle for a few head rubs and pets. If you are ready for an active, playful girl with tons of personality, Nell is waiting for you! Primary Color: Brown Tabby Weight: 7.7 Age: 0yrs 10mths 0wks

Story
Princess Peach is funny, companionable, affectionate, friendly, confident and loves to play. She always greets us at the door ready for mouse toy play or saying hello by giving us little head bunts, endless leg rubs and purrs. She is quite the little house panther as she goes after the mouse wand toy. She chases it across the room, up the tower, down the tower, across the shelf and in and out of the ripple rug. She will pause play to get a few snacks and then she is ready for more interaction. Princess Peach has been known to enjoy a lap or two and she enjoys petting. Of course, she is a Princess and will not tolerate other cats or dogs in her castle. If this adorable little adventurer sounds like your match, then Princess Peach would love to meet you! This guy is friendly, social, and playful. He loves to hang out with his humans, but is also independent. He enjoys an occasional snuggle with ear and chin massages, but will more likely plop down near you and close his eyes with a cheek rub. John Snow is affectionate on his own terms and is looking for an experienced guardian to prevent him from overstimulating. He would also like to be the only cat in his new home.   John Snow's favorite pastimes include wand toy play, batting around and piling up small toys like jingle balls, hide-and-seek in cardboard boxes, and fetch--he brings his ball back every time! Due to a previous injury, his back legs wobble a bit, but this does not slow him down! He's eager to use his agility and hunting skills in toy mouse capture! He was indoor/outdoor in his previous home and loves the outdoors, but he may be able to transition to nice big catio with lots of stimulation/enrichment. John Snow is a special cat and is looking for a home that is just as special!  Adoption Center: (415) 506-6225 The Marin Humane Society 171 Bel Marin Keys Blvd., Novato, California 94949 Email: adoptions@marinhumanesociety.orgJuly 18, 2024, 3:50 am

Story
Meet Perrie, an affectionate and sweet 4-year-old female Abyssinian cutie. She is brown with grey & black stripes and a white chest and socks. She is a healthy, happy kitty who prefers to be the only cat in your home. She can be a bit shy at first, but she loves people and will interact with anyone who cares to engage when she is ready.   Curious and affectionate, she loves to play, and will announce when she has a toy and is ready for play or a cuddle. She is also known as a lap sitter.     Her favorite toys are string ribbon type toys on wands, and small puffy balls that she carries in her mouth, which she enjoys chasing if you throw them for her. She is smart and adept at puzzles, too!   Perrie is fully litter box trained and uses a scratching post like a champ. Her favorite activity is finding treats hidden in the house like a scavenger hunt. Her favorite treats are tuna flavored anything. Silly endearing habits are climbing into every new box or bag brought into the house and she loves “helping” to make the beds. To learn more about this cutie, reach out to Debbie at 415-548-0824 or email adoptions@jakesplacecatrescue.org. This cat is considered a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cats.
