Story
Apollo is a very sweet 3-year-old male cat. He is an indoor cat and a bit shy at first, but loves company. He loves to get pets and chin rubs and is happy to play for 5 or 10 minutes at a time. Perfectly litter box trained, doesn't spray. We adopted him as a second cat to keep our first cat company. But our first cat turns out to be a very territorial female and is terrorizing him. We need to find him a new home. HOWEVER he has gotten along well with other cats before and played with them when he was in foster, so the problem is our other cat, not him! INCLUDED: Carrier, food and water bowls (Snoopy!) covered catbox, several cans of his favorite wet food (Weruva Gravy) and some of his favorite kibble (Nulo indoor and Bench&Field) and favorite treats (Temptations mix and puree pouches).

He has a sweet and playful nature, always curious and ready to follow you around to see what you’re up to. Jasper’s story is a special one. Story
Hello there! I’m a young, shorthaired brown tabby with a soft, pettable coat and a heart full of love to give. If you're looking for a sweet and affectionate companion, here are a few reasons why I might be the perfect match for you: I'm cute (obviously!), cuddly, and love being close — especially at night when I’ll happily sleep by your side. I enjoy chasing toys, exploring my surroundings, and playing with my foster sister Uma. Once I feel comfortable, I’m not shy at all and love being picked up and snuggled. My foster mom says I’m a gentle, friendly sweetheart who will make a wonderful addition to any loving home. I’m neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and all ready for my forever family. And one more thing — I really hope I can be adopted with my best friend, little kitty Fern (you'll see us cuddling in some of my photos). We’re an adorable duo and would love to stay together! Let’s meet soon — I can't wait to bring love and laughter into your life!

Story
Two of the sweetest cats are waiting for a forever home. These bonded sisters, Casey (white on face) and Holly are special… special needs cats with CH – Cerebellar Hyperplasia. These ‘wobblies’ survived a situation of neglect and persevered with strength and gratitude to be able to give unconditional love and joy. Both are litter box trained, wobble around, eat on their own and love to play. They cannot climb on furniture or counters so there is no scratching. Casey and Holly are lap cats, purr endlessly, love to be pet and given affection and, in return, ask for nothing but love and support.

Story
Cricket is a friendly, affectionate, gentle and very playful 9 months old girl. As a very young kitten, she was rescued from a busy street in a rough area. Cricket enjoys sitting in the cat tree watching the birds and squirrels; talks and makes the cutest chirping sound. She responds to her name. She's a fan of lounging and gets her daily exercise by playing with her favorite toys. This character will keep you amused. When she's tired or wants attention she’ll cuddle on the sofa with you for pets and a snooze. Cricket gets along well with others cats, but keeps her distance from the adult cats since they don't want to play. Cricket would do well in a quiet home with a kitten playmate. Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Cat Holding 3 (Cat Alley):3Meet Trinity, a sweet senior kitty who loves attention and gentle pets. When she first arrived at the shelter, she was tense and withdrawn, but as she’s settled in, she’s blossomed into an incredibly affectionate cat. The moment you start petting her, she rolls onto her side, leans into your hand, and purrs softly. She especially enjoys full-body pets, often rubbing her cheeks on anything nearby to show her contentment. A little bit goes a long way, though, and Trinity can become overstimulated with too much petting and she may react to an approaching hand with a swat, so she’ll do best with a cat-savvy adopter in a calm, child-free home. While she may take some time to adjust to new surroundings, once she feels safe, Trinity is a loving companion who simply wants to be by your side.   January 5, 2026, 11:51 pm

Story
I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Cat Holding 3 (Cat Alley):17Introducing Fawn & Wren! When these darling sisters first arrived at OAS, they weren’t feeling their best due to kitty colds, and hadn’t had much exposure to us big, scary humans.  But with some medicine, TLC, and lots of playtime and gentle pets, they’ve learned that people can be friends and that being brave leads to good things! Lighter Fawn takes the lead, going nuts for wand toys and enjoying pets, while darker tabby Wren hangs back at first before deciding to join the fun and cuddles. Both girls instantly forget their reservations when the Churu tubes come out! Now these 6-month-old kittens are ready to find a loving home together. They’re looking for a quiet, kid- and dog-free home with patient, gentle adopters who understand that love and trust that are earned are the best rewards of all. Stop by to meet Fawn & Wren soon!January 6, 2026, 11:33 pm
