🐾 **Looking for the Perfect Home for Lucy** 🐾 This is incredibly hard for our family to write, but we are looking for a loving new home for our sweet cat, Lucy. Lucy is a 7-year-old female orange tabby with a gentle soul and a special story. She lived with my dad after my mom passed, alongside his dog, and was a wonderful companion to him. After my dad passed away in October, we brought Lucy into our home to keep her in the family. Unfortunately, we recently learned that our 4-year-old son has a severe allergy to cats, and despite trying to make it work, we’ve made the difficult decision that rehoming Lucy is what’s best for both her and our family. Lucy can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and loves attention. She enjoys being near her people and will happily soak up all the love you can give her. She also has a unique little detail—her tail was amputated when she was a kitten after an accident, but it doesn’t slow her down

Story
Athena is a sweet beautiful cat that is approximately 12-13 years old. We rescued her as a kitten. 2 years ago we brought in two more kittens. She was fine with them- didn’t love them, but didn’t fight etc. Recently that’s changed and now she doesn’t like them and it acting out. Full disclosure she has peed on our bed 3 different times out of anger or anxiety. Only on our bed, so it feels like it might be personal. She’s never had an accident prior. We had to quarantine her to separate section of the house and has not had a single accident. Again leaving us to believe it’s personal. So we think it might be best to find her a new home with no other pets.I have taken her to the vet twice in 2 months to verify nothing is medically wrong with her.

Lucy is around 4 years old, has been altered and declawed. She loves to be alone, either sitting in a window or sleeping in a hiding spot only she knows about. She was rescued as a feral when she was a kitten lurking on my mother-in-law's back porch, just as her brother from another litter was. Tigger is also up for adoption and is shown in the 3rd picture with Lucy. As my mother-in-law had done for many years and 20+ cats, she took Lucy in and loved her. Sadly, she passed away in November. In her honor we agreed to foster Lucy and Tigger until we could find a suitable home or homes for them. We have been busy with other things in life and have not had a chance to really focus on this, but now is the time. We already have two cats of our own but they are not as welcoming as I am. I adopted Skully in the summer of 2024 from a friend whose neighborhood cat had a litter. Skully is very playful but also loves to cuddle up in bed at night. He loves my much older cat (in some of the pictures) and they would sunbathe together in the mornings. Skully loves scratching posts and stringy toys.
