Romeo's estimated DOB is: August, 2009. We're looking for an experienced cat owner to be Romeo's special person. Romeo is a friendly and affectionate guy. He will follow you around from room to room and is very loving. He likes to be in your lap. He has the personality of a Turkish Angora and soft bunny hair. He is the kind of cat that does not hide when there are visitors and comes out to visit. However there are times when he can be kind of a DIVA and lash out when he is overstimulated and done with affection. So small children are not recommended. He is still very playful and loves toys that move, like mice on wheels, little fluff balls etc. He would love to have an owner that would allow him to sleep in bed with them and be on their lap a lot. Romeo lives with big, medium and little dogs, has lived with other cats in the past. He does have a tendency to pick on other cats depending on their personality. Romeo needs to eat wet food at least once a day. Currently he eats Fancy Feast Broths and dry food in the morning. At night he gets a half of a small can of wet food. Romeo tests positive for FIV. Please don't let his condition scare you away - FIV kitties can lead long, normal and healthy lives simply by being kept indoors, receiving good nutrition and care, and getting annual veterinarian check-ups – all things that every cat should receive. FIV is difficult to transfer to other cats and the primary transmission route is through a deep bite wound. It is not an airborne disease nor is it contagious through shared food dishes, litter boxes or grooming. Lilly is a gorgeous and very sweet girl. She has big beautiful eyes and super soft, silky fur. She will make a wonderful companion for someone who can be patient while she adjusts to her new home. She is super shy and needs several weeks to adjust to a new environment. But once she feels safe in her new home, she will be out and about more. Felicia and her three babies, Alex, Sukie and Jane came from a hoarding environment. Country Acres Rescue made space for these four along with eleven other cats (of all ages) who needed safe and clean conditions as well as veterinary care. Felicia is a very docile and sweet cat. She has been through a lot, but still finds a way to trust CAR; she lets us handle her babies and give her the love and care that she needs. We know with time Felicia's full personality will shine bright, as she just needs time to decompress. She is resilient. Felicia is missing part of her back leg. We are unsure if this was an injury or a birth defect. However, Felicia has great balance and manages her footing with grace. Meadow and her babies, Dragonfly, Stinkbug and Caterpillar were found abandoned in a neighborhood. A wonderful woman found this crew and brought them to Country Acres Rescue. Meadow is super sweet. She craves attention. She was the best Mama to her babies, but she is ready to have a Mama of her own and be doted and loved on. My name is Misty and I’m around 5 years old. I was left behind with my litter of kittens after my owners moved away. Luckily, a very nice couple found us, fed us, and cared for us. This couple helped my kittens get rescued and adopted, and helped care for me until Stray Haven came to rescue me.Misty, like any cat, can be a little shy and skittish at first, but after a few days of settling in, she truly comes out of her shell. Misty loves affection and attention. She enjoys being held and will nuzzle her head against your face begging for kisses. She will follow you closely wherever you go in the house rubbing against your leg and just watching over you. Misty can also be very energetic and loves to play with toys throughout the day. She also loves to be brushed and will purr loudly and make “biscuits” with her big fluffy teddy bear paws.Misty would do best as a single cat in a household, but she has shown interest in meeting and being around other cats in foster care. Mommacita is just over a year old.  This little girl welcomes other kitties and is great with kids ten years and older.  She has masted the art of chilling early in her young life.  Even though her tiny face screams of mischeif Mommacita is happy to be safe inside, preferably with treats and toys, and remains as happy as a clam.  This kitty does enjoy a little bit of exploring.  On her adventurous days she likes discovering cat trees to climb on, shelves to lounge, and nooks to burrow in. It is absolutely adorable. Mommacita is a wonderful companion cat- She enjoys the company of other cats and humans alike.
