Story
Deere is the other half of the infamous John and Deere duo. Deere is a sweet and affectionate spayed female approximately 7 years old. She is the least adventurous of the two and prefers to spend most of her days and nights cuddled up with her favourite people, or sister-cat. She likes to go outside but doesn’t seem to roam as far as John does. Both John and Deere were raised in a home with a dog who they trust and are very comfortable around her. However, they are more fearful around unknown dogs so it may take a bit of time to warm up to them. John and Deere are the sweetest little pair and everyone comments on what great cats they are. They are more dog-like than typical cats. They love following you around and are always nearby. John and Deere would need a loving home that could take both of them and enjoy these exceptional well-behaved adult cats.

Story
John is one half of the duo John and Deere. John, tho given a male name is indeed a spayed female. Due to allergies, we need to rehome our sweet John and Deere. We rescued them at approximately 1 year of age where they were spayed and given all their shots. We’ve maintained all their shots and health since then. John is the more adventurous of the duo and is an avid and successful hunter. She enjoys both roaming free outside hunting or basking in the sun and the comforts of a soft, cozy warm spot in the house. She is sweet and gentle and is easy to handle and has been nothing but the most perfect little cat. She is approximately 7 years old and is in great health. She is closely attached to her sister Deere and would they therefore would need to stay together. John and Deere would likely do best in a home with a bit of outdoor space where they are able to roam relatively safely, and would be welcome back to relax indoors.

Story
Presenting Jade and Spring! DOB July 15/23 These sisters are lovely! Full of sillyness on occasion, they are mostly sweet, quiet and very well behaved. Jade is the tortie girl and her sister Spring is a boldly marked tabby...Yes! They did actually come from the same mama! Both cats are calm and non demanding. They don't ask for affection, but are happy when you offer a good scritch or gentle petting. They are good with other cats and with gentle dogs. They have not been around children but would be fine with older kids. They are not the kind of kitties that you are going to pick up and carry around, but if you are working from home, they will stay in the office with you and keep you company. I would prefer that they be adopted together but would consider separating them if you have another gentle cat in the home already Apply online at compassionforpaws.ca

Story
DOB: July 20, 2021 (approx) Please note, this is a posting through the Courtesy Adoption Program. Please contact the current owner directly for more details. Their details are below. Dandelion is a loving, cuddly, four-year-old kitty. He’ll take some time to show it, but once he does, he is the sweetest, most affectionate dude. He’s a healthy, strong, big cat who the vet says is a healthy weight for his size. He’s a quiet and gentle guy who does not hiss or scratch. He likes humans and, once he gets to know you, he will want a regular schedule for loving and cuddling. He will often just want to hang out with you, and he will tell you when it’s time to join him on the bed or couch to hang out for belly rubs. He isn’t a big talker, but when it is time for cuddling, he will let you know. Dandelion is sweet, curious, and affectionate. He loves drinking water from a slowly running tap in a sink or the tub, playing with rolled up bits of paper, and stretching across your desk in front of you while you work. He is a big fan of a blanket stretched over a couch so that he can sleep underneath in a mini-tent. He is not a fan of sudden, loud noises, so may race from the room when a loud car passes, but he seems to be adjusting to that over time. By race, we mean fast-walk. He really only runs when he thinks he may be about to miss out on couch time or a bed cuddle. His one idiosyncrasy is that he likes ear plugs, ideally used ones, to savour and nibble on over a day. If you sleep with ear plugs, you’ll need to make sure they’re stored securely in a drawer or thrown away somewhere he can’t access. Otherwise, we think the guy is perfect! He has no medical issues. His vaccines are current, and he’s neutered and microchipped. We adopted Dandelion from Toronto Cat Rescue in 2021. However, one of us became allergic to cats two years ago and, despite best efforts to control symptoms, we have decided it is best to part ways. Dandelion has lived with his sister until recently, so we think he’d be OK with another cat. He would also be great as a solo pet. We don’t know how he would respond to children or dogs. Dandelion is a wonderful cat who means a lot to us, and we want to find him the right place. He will need time to adjust to his new home and his new people - our guess is about four to five months - but once he does, he will be a loving, dependable, life-long companion. Please reach out. We’d be happy to answer any questions and then arrange a visit for you to meet him. We live in midtown Toronto and can be available most of the weekend and some weekday evenings. Dandelion is participating in our Courtesy Adoption Posting Program and is not the property of Toronto Cat Rescue. Toronto Cat Rescue does not accept responsibility for any pet placements that result from this service. Kiko is a very gentle and affectionate cat. You will usually find her purring and curled up next to you. She has been with the same family since she was just 3 months old however due to changes in the family's lifestyle, Kiko is looking for a new home. Kiko does not do well with other cats or dogs. Kiko would do best in a quiet home.

Story
Wilma is one of many siblings born outside. She is a darling, loving little girl always ready for a chin scratch and cuddle. She is playful and holds her own with her brothers. She would be a great addition to any family! She is FIV/FelV negative, flea treated and dewormed, up to date on her vaccines and will come with a voucher for her spay at 6 months, done in Woodstock at our vet. To facilitate the spay surgery, applications from locations within half an hour distance from Woodstock will be considered. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING! An adoption application can be found at www.oxfordcountyanimalrescue.com (click on Adopt, then Cats for Adoption, then scroll to the bottom of the page). We require 2 non-familial references (including contact numbers) as well as permission to speak with your vet. Please note that yearly vet visits are a requirement for all our adopted kitties. If this is not your past practice, your application will not move forward. You must be 21 years old to adopt. The adoption fee is $200. It may take up to 72 hours to approve your application. Please provide all requested information, including contact numbers, to help expedite the process. Repeated phone calls and emails will not move your application along. We are a volunteer, foster based rescue. We are not able to facilitate meet and greets before an application is received. You are not able to meet multiple kitties to see if one fits as the animals may be fostered in different locations. Please help us get the kitties to their forever homes by respecting these guidelines!
