Story
Kovu is my sweet 10-year-old boy, born in August 2015. He has been my loyal companion and has such a gentle, loving soul. He is naturally shy at first and takes a little time to warm up to new people. But once he feels comfortable, he truly blossoms into the most affectionate, cuddly cat. He absolutely loves being close to his person and thrives on companionship. He is strictly an indoor-only cat and is very frightened of the outdoors. He feels safest inside the home and should remain an indoor cat. He does well with other cats and has never been around dogs. While he does okay with my children, he tends to keep his distance from other kids. I believe he would be happiest in a quieter home with teenagers or adults only. This decision has been incredibly hard, however, my schedule has become so busy that I no longer feel I can give him the time and attention he deserves. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he truly craves company and connection.

Story
Dear adopter, Hunny is truly the most wonderful cat and we’re sad to be in a position to have to part with her. Hunny is a 5-year-old Blue Tabby (she’ll be 6 on Christmas). She loves to cuddle, talk your ear off, sit in open windows for fresh air/naps, and play with elastic-free hair ties (or chase her tail). She’s also litter trained, specifically for the Tidy Cats Breeze Pellets litter box, which we would provide to the new household. Hunny thrives best in a home as the only pet. She doesn’t get along well with dogs and especially other cats. If the home has kids, the kids would need to be at least 8-10 years old, as kids that age respect/understand her boundaries better. My husband and I are moving soon, so Hunny would need to be in her new home by May 15th at the latest. We’re doing everything we can to find a good home for her, as we want to ensure her safety and comfort, since we care for her so deeply. If you are interested in meeting Hunny, please reach out!

Story
Beloved Creature Seeking a Steady Home Bubba has been my cherished companion since winter 2017. He is deeply loved, and though this decision is hard, we want him to have the life that suits him best. He is a highly relational, attachment-oriented indoor cat who thrives in a quiet, predictable home. He bonds deeply and prefers sleeping in the same bed as his person. Once attached, he enjoys being held and staying close while you read, write, or work. He does best as the only cat, or with a patient, gentle cat who enjoys grooming and cuddling. He’s also compatible with calm dogs. He is very gentle and does not hiss or lash out. He’s chatty during zoomies and feeding times, loves chasing light, and delights in crystal reflections in sunny windows. Rehoming fee includes his cat trees, tunnel, cave, slow feeder, toys, food, carrier, etc. We will drive him to his new home; furniture must be picked up. Seeking a peaceful, mostly-home companion who welcomes closeness and routine.

Story
Daffy is very bright and curious, loves to play and hunt for toys/treats. She’ll sleep under the covers with you and sit on your lap on her own terms. She’s sweet, feisty, goofy, and purrs like a motor with little chirps. Daffy's very independent and likes to explore nooks and crannies, and is good indoors and out. She was initially the only pet in the house, but I moved in with my partner and his dog 3 years ago, and adopted a puppy this year which she hasn’t been able to adjust to. She’s grown distant and started swatting at us and the puppy, causing some discord. We’re moving into a smaller place and are worried that will exacerbate the problem. I really think being the solo pet in a home would be best for her and make her very happy. The ideal situation would be someone who lives alone (or a couple) who loves and understands cats, and wants to spend time playing and creating a special bond with her. She is truly a gem, and just needs the right scenario to showcase that.

INDOOR ONLY - BONDED & MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! Sweet and very food motivated. He willl be your bestfriend if you share your breakfast with him. Bonded with his older sis, Bunny. They sleep and cuddle all throughout the day then get their after poop zoomies and roughhouse with each other. Theyre both shy to new people but give Santi a treat and hes all love. Santi was a CNR in Pendleton before he was rescued to be adopted, with that said hes sensitive to being handled, ie being picked up but made progress when doing so slow and gently. Does not like his paws touched. Hes still so loving and affectionate despite all that, not aggressive at all! They both have soft carriers and a cat tree and some other scratches/toys! You will get it all included! Please apply for more information! I’m trying to find the best fit for them! https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/47106157-portland-oregon-cat

Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my sister Lucy (CH-Lucy) and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. I have become more outgoing, as time has gone by, but, my human mom has always referred to Lucy as 'a ghost' I think you could actually say that I am the emotional support animal for Lucy (and she is mine) I could be a 24/7 lap cat. I love getting my belly rubbed and being brushed. When I came to SCC, I was pretty matted on my belly, but my foster person and I worked on getting all of those nasty felted mats off of my belly. That feels so nice now. We are ramping down on 12 years old now. SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Let me tell you about me. I am quite a bit bigger than my sister, and a very fluffy boy. I am a lot more outgoing than my sister, but still timid. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. And I really like treats! The cats in the foster home we are in come to visit us. I like to give them head-butts and am never aggressive with the visitors. Lucy stays back in the shadows and is not so welcoming. We would be best in a quiet home environment, like with retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
Cookie is a sweet little tabby cat who enjoys having a place to hang out and pets. Not much is known about her history as she showed up at some ones house pregnant. She seems to do ok with other cats and would probably do good with proper introductions. She's never been around dogs or children that I know of but would probably be ok with children who are gentle and know how to be kind and safe around animals. She is ready for her own home. She comes vaccinated, dewormed, tested negative for feline leukemia and aids, microchipped, and spayed. If you are interested in meeting her please fill out an application at www.sccpets.comIf you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Rotini - I was a stray kitty and was really sad when someone left me outside. This nice lady kept coming back to see me, and she tried to find my people but couldn’t, so she brought me home. I am so happy to have a warm and safe space inside. My new human knows I’m happy because I am always purring, even just if she looks at me. Unfortunately, there are other cats in the house and, since being on the streets, I’m really not a fan of them, so I spend all my time in the spare room. It would be much better if I could be in a single pet household. So, I am reaching out with SCC's help, to find a new fur-ever home. There are no kids in my current home, but I could probably enjoy older kids who can read my cat signs. I don't have any known dog experience, but I don’t think I’d like them. I’m really enjoying looking outside from the comfort of a warm home, so, indoor only for me!! A perch or comfortable pillow by the window suits me just fine. I am microchipped and current on vaccines. I am potty trained and only eat hydrolyzed foods. My human says I will get to keep my cat tree, kitty hut, and favorite banana catnip toy when I find my purr-fect home!If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.March 7, 2026, 3:28 pm
