Story
I AM CURRENTLY FOSTERING THIS KITTY. This sweet friendly cat showed up in my yard last summer. I took her to the vet to check for a microchip and general health. She was found to be chipped and spayed, but no one responded to the outreach from the vet. I had her listed as a found pet with the county as well as listing her picture with various local neighborhood associations. In February we were notified by the county that she was now eligible to be adopted. We kept a warming Box for her outside, but after a snow storm, brought her inside and had her shots brought up to date. She adapted easily and has been fine with the litter box. She has been an indoor cat since then. I just don’t have the time or desire to have a pet of any kind due to my work and the amount of travel I do. She is very sweet and affectionate. INCLUDED WITH ADOPTION FEE: Cat tower, bed, litter box, litter box "genie"

Little Beans is an absolute love bug! She LOVES to sit on your lap as you work at a table or watch TV. There isn't a snuggle she turns away from! Her ideal situation will be a loving home with people to connect with her & other cats or kittens, even a dog to share her forever homes perfection with!

Story
This is Turkey. Why is he named TURKEY? His birthday is 11/27/24, the day before Thanksgiving...so the kids that have his Momma kitty named the 3 siblings Turkey, Mashed Potatoes (Tater) and of course Green Beans (Beans). Turkey is a big, goofy boy who LOVES to chase his tail. That is what he was doing in my kitchen in these pics. I am convinced he thinks I am teasing him with a long furry thing that he just can't seem to catch! He is lovable & loves to eat. He is easy to train with his love of treats! He is waiting for his current forever home.

Story
This is Curlie, please look at her very unique tail to view the reason for her name. Curlie & Trixie came to us recently. We believe Curlie was 4 months old when we got her, and the Veterinarian agreed with the age. We have had a wonderful time getting to know Curlie. She loves to talk to us, and to the other pets in the house as well. She apparently has so MUCH to share! Her tail doesn't seem to bother her, the Vet says if it isn't bothering her there is no need to amputate. I think she is ADORABLE, sweet and funny when she starts talking. She jumps onto any available lap once she is ready to settle down, until that time, she is up and about playing & chasing the other pets.

Story
Flame is a snuggly boy, enjoys being the center of attention. His coat is soft, with beautiful colors. It’s not his loving personality or his handsome coat that is unique - it’s the little black heart on his foot. He is truly one of a kind. Flame was a feral boy living outside and trapped. When he was in recovery the trapper found out he was friendly, so when I went to pick him up he was rubbing up to my finger and never stopped after this. He is constantly cuddling and wrapping around your legs or knees if you’re sitting. Considering Flame for adoption?

Story
Galaxy is a sweet young mama who just wants a home of her own to hang out in. She was found feral and pregnant outside. As she spent more time inside around people she has warmed up to her foster mom and has started cuddling in bed. She's not big on being picked up but she enjoys pets. She is a sweet girl who loves playing or looking out the window from her perch on the cat tree. If she's not on her perch, she can be found playing with her toy mice. She will need someone who understands feral cats and allow her to take her time warming up to a new human. She will have been fully vaccinated, dewormed, tested for feline leukemia and aids, microchipped, and spayed. If you are interested in meeting her, please go to www.sccpets.com.If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 10, 2025, 2:49 pm

Story
Hi, my name is Chris and my sister Lucy (CH-Lucy) and I are looking for a very special person. You see, our human mom took us off the streets as feral cats when we were really young - as cats go, but probably as feral cats go, really too late to 'flip us', to be regular house cats. I have become more outgoing, as time has gone by, but, my human mom has always referred to Lucy as 'a ghost' I think you could actually say that I am the emotional support animal for Lucy (and she is mine) I could be a 24/7 lap cat. I love getting my belly rubbed and being brushed. When I came to SCC, I was pretty matted on my belly, but my foster person and I worked on getting all of those nasty felted mats off of my belly. That feels so nice now. We are ramping down on 12 years old now. SCC got us a senior blood panel and in the scheme of things, we are doing alright. Let me tell you about me. I am quite a bit bigger than my sister, and a very fluffy boy. I am a lot more outgoing than my sister, but still timid. As you can see from our pics, we are very bonded and are often perched together by the window, watching the world go by. We also like to play with catnip mice inside crinkly, kitty tunnels. And I really like treats! The cats in the foster home we are in come to visit us. I like to give them head-butts and am never aggressive with the visitors. Lucy stays back in the shadows and is not so welcoming. We would be best in a quiet home environment, like with retirees that live a quiet life, and are home more. If friends or family do come to visit, they might not see us, but you should know that we will be waiting for your company to leave so that we can come out. As you might assume, kids are a bit noisy for us, and even though we had a dog in our lives before, we can do without that. We are current on our vaccines and microchipped and are very good with our litterbox. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application.February 15, 2025, 2:14 pm
