Tabby kittens & cats in Portland, Oregon

Ruby Rae is 8 years old and a very independent indoor outdoor girl. She loves to roam the yard and snuggle up inside. She lives with dogs and cats and gets along with all of them. She can be aloof but also loving and is a good communicator when she wants to be touched or fed or let outside or inside. She responds with a chirp when you give her what she asks for like saying thank you. I adopted her from the Oregon Humane Society as a kitten. I am concerned that my move to MN will not be what is best for her and she needs a house where she can go in and out freely once she is oriented to where home is. She is not overly food driven but free feeds dry food and loves a Churu treat. She would do well in a multi animal home like mine or do well as the only cat. It is a hard decision but I am trying to make decisions that will make her happy and maintenance of her lifestyle is probably more important to her than staying with me and adjusting her lifestyle.

Ember and his brother, Umber, need to be adopted together. They are approximately six or seven months old and are very bonded. They were rescued from an alley when they were about six weeks old, thus they were not hand raised from birth and do not like to be picked up. They are very sweet and do love to be petted and they love to play fetch with their toy mouse and Umber can jump several feet in the air during his playtime. They can be nervous around new people or by sudden movements or loud noises. They will do best in a reasonably quiet home with a predictable routine. They would not do well in a home with children under the age of 12 or so. Children would need to be respectful. But the ideal home would be with a single person or a couple who like to have a couple of sweet cats around that don’t demand too much attention. They presently live in a home with two mini dachshunds which they tolerate but don’t want to engage with. They are fully house/litter box trained.

Melon is a sweetpea, she is not my cat, only currently in my care. She was 6 weeks when taken from her mother and put in a home where she was heavily neglected. We saved her and 2 other mamas before the house they had been abandoned at was torn down. She had her kittens in June right before we took her in and has been a great mama but is so very ready to have new humans of her own who just want to give her the love and cuddles she deserves. We are currently trying to find a place to get her spayed, that we can afford.

Gibbs is 7 years old. I found him during covid. He is very friendly and cuddly. He loves to play with feathers and with the right cat nip toy he'll play fetch. He has been introduced to dogs and kids and has done well with a little bit of time. He can be vocal at times if he feels like he's not getting enough attention. Rico is 4 years old and is a lot more composed. He spends his time mostly sun bathing. He enjoys feathers as well. He is very treat motivated but at times can have a sensitive stomach so I use a slow feeder. He doesn't have as much do exposure but does well with other cats. He is pretty quiet although he can get the zoomies at night if he hasn't had enough stimulation through out the day. They do not need to go together.

Gemma is a very sweet cat, gentle and shy. We fostered her at about one year, she was in a home with large dogs and other cats. She has come out of her shell and would be a great cat for anyone. We have four cats which is too many so are looking for a new home for Gemma. A great lap cat with a laid back personality, loves attention. We have an Easy Pet Fence in our yard so she has ventured outside a bit but would be fine as an indoor cat. Gemma is very obedient, and will be an amazing addition to anyone’s home. We will miss her.

Sprite is a sweet 3 year old tabby who is house trained and has all the supplies (litter box, toys, etc). She is a bonded pair with Max an all white flamepoint Siamese. Will consider separation to the right home. She cannot be homed with dogs. Fee is $100 for both.

Ariel and her daughter Amelia are a stunning tabby pair with a special bond — one that’s a little more “roommates who respect each other’s space” than “attached at the hip.” They’re both affectionate, playful, and curious. They are confident and enjoy meeting new people. While they sometimes bicker like family members do, they’re learning to share space and comfort. Just recently, they started sleeping on the same bed together with their humans— a big milestone for these two independent spirits! * * Ariel & Amelia must be adopted together. * * Mama Ariel is gentle, thoughtful, and affectionate on her own terms. She enjoys being held over your shoulder, especially when she’s feeling social, and she’s known to meow for attention at bedtime before hopping up for pets and play. Her amber eyes and darker tabby markings make her look especially elegant in a patch of sunlight, where she loves to lounge. Daughter Amelia is the more assertive of the two — a curious, confident girl who likes to climb right into your lap or claim your desk chair as her own. She’s affectionate, playful, and a little mischievous, with striking greenish eyes and a sleek tabby coat. Ariel and Amelia enjoy each other’s company most when they can do their own thing nearby — playing, napping, or watching the world go by from opposite ends of the couch. They’re a wonderful pair for someone who appreciates cats with personality, independence, and just a touch of sass. Ariel is about 2 years old, and her daughter Amelia is about 1 year old.
