Story
Nash was born on 5/11/2025, and has been in our home since end of June 2025. He is a playful, loving 9 month old, litter trained, very large 15.5 pound handsome guy. The reason we are looking for a new home is we have a female 11 year old that will not accept him. He wants to play and so far his assertiveness hasn’t won him a Cat friend. We have tried another home with another female and it was the same outcome. He isn’t mean to the others, just to rough. He loves to play fetch with hair ties. We are looking for a home in which he remains indoors at all times.

Story
Daffy is very bright and curious, loves to play and hunt for toys/treats. She’ll sleep under the covers with you and sit on your lap on her own terms. She’s sweet, feisty, goofy, and purrs like a motor with little chirps. Daffy's very independent and likes to explore nooks and crannies, and is good indoors and out. She was initially the only pet in the house, but I moved in with my partner and his dog 3 years ago, and adopted a puppy this year which she hasn’t been able to adjust to. She’s grown distant and started swatting at us and the puppy, causing some discord. We’re moving into a smaller place and are worried that will exacerbate the problem. I really think being the solo pet in a home would be best for her and make her very happy. The ideal situation would be someone who lives alone (or a couple) who loves and understands cats, and wants to spend time playing and creating a special bond with her. She is truly a gem, and just needs the right scenario to showcase that.

Story
Dumpling is a great cat and he is very loved. He was adopted as a kitten from a shelter in Washington and is almost 3 years old (May ‘23). He originally had two other cats and another human in the household but he and I abruptly moved to Portland about 2 years ago, leaving him alone most days for about 10 hours and many nights. He is a lonely boy and he needs company. He is a VERY social cat, dog like qualities, loves pets (including belly!), likes to chase after balls (not good at fetching), daily zoomies, and is accustomed to backpack/leash walks when the weather is nice. He had one episode of urinary crystals and needed to get a procedure done but with diet change, he has had no issues. I think he would do best in a busy household with other pets (has met dogs and went well but not lived with them) and/or someone who is home a lot like WFH situation. Again, he is very social and needs a lot of attention that I, one person, and finding hard to do.

Story
INDOOR ONLY - BONDED & MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER! Sweet and very food motivated. He willl be your bestfriend if you share your breakfast with him. Bonded with his older sis, Bunny. They sleep and cuddle all throughout the day then get their after poop zoomies and roughhouse with each other. Theyre both shy to new people but give Santi a treat and hes all love. Santi was a CNR in Pendleton before he was rescued to be adopted, with that said hes sensitive to being handled, ie being picked up but made progress when doing so slow and gently. Does not like his paws touched. Hes still so loving and affectionate despite all that, not aggressive at all! They both have soft carriers and a cat tree and some other scratches/toys! You will get it all included! Please apply for more information! I’m trying to find the best fit for them! https://www.adoptapet.com/pet/47106157-portland-oregon-cat

Story
Hello! This is Dandelion. I call him Dandy, or Mr Dandy for short. He can be shy at first, but once he warms up he is playful and cuddly. He’s a very sweet and well tempered cat. He is vocal when greeting you or when excited. I love this cat very much, but unfortunately my job scheduled is too demanding for him to receive the attention he deserves. He would do very well in a multiple cat household or with someone who stays home during the day.

Story
White tabby female, born 2018. Spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and perfectly litter box trained. She is an incredibly loving, gentle, and affectionate cat—very vocal in a sweet way, purrs often, and loves attention once comfortable. Truly one of the best cats I’ve ever had. She is shy at first and may hide when adjusting to a new environment, but typically settles in within a few days and then becomes very cuddly and social. She has lived with another cat before and did well. She has never shown any aggression—no hissing, swatting, or biting. She does experience stress during car rides and major transitions and will meow loudly while adjusting, so she would do best in a calm, stable home without frequent moves. Rehoming only because she deserves more stability and playtime. She is a wonderful, loving companion. Rehoming fee: $50 (negotiable for the right home).

Story
Meet Sylvester! 🐾 Sylvester is a playful, energetic 3-year-old neutered male cat with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime. He’s curious, confident, and always ready to turn anything into a game. Sylvester thrives on interaction and would do best in a home where his playful nature can be fully appreciated. Unfortunately, his enthusiasm is too much for the senior dog in his current home. The doctors and behavior team at Hannah's are helping to manage this. Sylvester would likely do best as the only pet or potentially in a home with other cats who enjoy high-energy play and can match his style. He has so much love and fun to offer the right family—especially someone who enjoys an active, engaging cat and can provide plenty of playtime and enrichment. If you’re looking for a young, spirited cat who will keep you entertained and bring lots of life into your home, Sylvester could be the perfect match. For more information, please call Shannon from Hannah Pet Hospital at 971-606-4006.

Story
Need something new in your life to brighten up the short and dreary winter days? May we suggest this charming and handsome pair of feline buddies? Nick and Norman are brothers, or maybe cousins—they came to us as part of a large extended family including multiple moms and aunties, so we aren’t sure of their exact relationship, but they have always been together and the bromance is serious. Norman has excellent social skills in addition to his stunning swirly orange coat. He has never met a person, cat, or dog he doesn’t like. Actually, Norman has only met one dog (that we know of) and that’s the respectful, mellow dog at his foster home. He likes to get up close and personal with his people—he is literally an in-your-face kind of guy. Nick is more reserved, but watches and learns from Norman, and is very affectionate once he knows nobody is going to manhandle him without permission. He has a very lush tabby coat with white trim, and an absolute plume of a tail. This duo love playing with all kinds of toys, including lots of “rassle and chase” games. When their batteries run down, they appreciate a window perch with a nice view of the interesting activities going on outdoors, where they can rest and recharge. Nick and Norman are about nine months old. They have been neutered and microchipped, they tested negative for FeLV and FIV, and are up to date on vaccines. The adoption fee is $150 for a pair. If you are interested in meeting Nick and Norman, please fill out the adoption interest form at our website (www.pdx-petadoption.org) and our adoption coordinator will respond promptly. Please note that we place cats in the following counties only: Multnomah, Washington, Clackamas and Clark. Animal Rescue & Care Fund is a small rescue organization. We rescue homeless animals only, and do not accept owner-surrendered pets. All our animals live with volunteers in their homes until they are matched with the right permanent family. Thank you for considering one of our pets for adoption.

Story
Autumn and Audrey are beautiful gray tabby and white sisters ready to meet the family who will take them home and love them forever! Autumn and Audrey are very bonded and will be adopted as a pair. They are about 9 months old. ** Autumn and Audrey will only be adopted as a pair. ** These girls are loving, playful, and confident. Like all teenage kittens, they have a lot of energy, but when playtime is over, they are very happy to cuddle up with each other and their people. They are curious, interested in what everybody in the house is up to, and they enjoy greeting guests. Autumn and Audrey will expect to be welcomed to sleep on the bed with the people in their new home. They aren't thrilled to share their people with the other cats in their foster home, so they will be happiest in a home with no other cats vying for attention. They haven't been tested with dogs, but we expect they could live with a respectful dog, with proper introductions. They have been around well-behaved small humans with no issues. Autumn and Audrey are in excellent health and have no special needs, except for plenty of attention, and a comfy perch by a window with a good view of the cat TV show outdoors. All of our cats and kittens for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, are up to date on vaccines, and have tested negative for FeLV and FIV. The adoption fee is $150 for a pair.
