He is a sweet baby boy who is turning 4 years old soon. I got him from the Animal Humane Society, and when we first met, he was a rescue kitten. From the beginning, he’s always had a shy and quiet personality, the type of cat who stays calm and gentle even when he feels nervous. He doesn’t act out, not even at the vet, and he is truly well-behaved and disciplined. Even though he gets scared easily, he has never bitten or scratched anyone. He is very careful, respectful, and has a soft heart. It did take him time to get used to being around men, especially tall men, since he can feel intimidated, but once he feels safe he slowly warms up. He is most friendly with females, and especially trusts the people who feed him and care for him. I’m looking for a calm, patient, and loving home where he can feel comfortable, adjust at his own pace, and be treated gently. Overall, he is a gentle, quiet little soul who thrives in a peaceful environment.

Nutmeg is a good cat, we are looking to re-home her as we just inherited a dog that requires a lot of training and attention. She is very sweet and a little sassy. Good with other cats and dogs. She took a very keen liking to my German shorthaired pointer, who she would follow around the house a nuzzle him and make biscuits on him when he would be laying down. She is very affectionate and loves to be petted and sit on your lap. Not a huge fan of being picked up and she loves to vocalize her opinion. She tends to be a little shy when guests are over, but always excited and happy to see me or my wife when we get home. When she’s not playing or birdwatching out the window, she likes to curl up in a ball on the couch or ideally someone’s lap. Nutmeg (We call her Meg for short) deserves a loving home where she gets the attention she deserves

Tiger is definitely a very smart cat, he is so gentle, love to snuggles, he make friend with everyone around him whether human or deer or an ant. Our neighbor loves him, they have a dog name Jim, the bestest of friends.

Ernie joined the GGOH family after we were contacted by another rescue that was working on a farm cat over-population project - with so many in need, we couldn't say "no". Ernie is a shy fella, but gentle and receptive to human attention - what he needs most is a person/family that can be consistent with their interactions with him yet give him time and space (on his terms) to adjust to a new home and environment. Ernie hasn't really been around children as he tends to watch visitors from a distance and is often snuggled into his little hut, but with his gentle nature, we suspect he would do fine with children over the age of 10. Well-behaved dogs don't seem to phase Ernie and is totally fine with other cats. Burt came to GGOH with his siblings, Burt, Rita & Jake. Ernie's DOB is approx. 3/24/2020. This adorable girl is one of our social media kitties - her name is Google. She's quiet and a bit shy, but she sure is a sweetie pie. This family of kitties have a bit of a sad story on how they came to be with us here at GGOH - they were left in a box at the end of a farmer's driveway with their momma. Momma got spooked and jumped out of the box and was hit and killed by an oncoming car. The farmer was witness to this but there was nothing he could do as he couldn't get to them fast enough. So here they were, four homeless and motherless kittens in need of help. What were we to do - we immediately said "yes, get them here as soon as you can". It's terrible that such a senseless thing had to happen but we can't dwell too much on their past because we need to focus on their future - a future that is bright and full of love and fun. That's really all we could ask for, for our little darling, Google - and we she think she absolutely deserves it! As stated, Google is a bit shy but she can be picked up and held. She is so trusting of us but yet, she still needs some reassurance that we are not going to do her harm. When you first pick her up, she buries her little head into your hand - it's adorable, yet makes your heart melt to know she just wants to feel safe. Are you the one that will change her world? He is one gorgeous kitty! He's still a little nervous in his new setting but he is coming around quickly. He doesn't hide, hiss or swat, he's just taking it all in slowly and we can certainly understand that - new is sometimes scary but he's received a big welcome from all of the kitties in his room and he's taking their lead. Before you know it, this handsome fella will be coming to you for pets rather than the other way around. If you're looking for Mr. Handsome and are willing to give him some time to adjust to all things new to him, he might just be your perfect match. He does great with other cats; dogs are an unknown.
