Story
Sif is an adorable lovable cat that is absolutely worth it. She demands love pets and play, but her and I do not get along well. She seems to be more friendly with females than males, and makes me believe something happened before I adopted her. Sif and I both have had a bit of trauma together after the loss of the other cat, and I think she just needs a new home with a fresh start. She loves salmon based food, wet or dry, and she is very much a loving cat that purrs very loudly when she’s is happy. She will rub against you, and loves to explore, but is also easily startled at least around men. She’s friendly and will walk up to strangers, and I have seen her bond with other cats and start grooming them as well. One thing to note is she is obsessed with self suckling herself, and if she’s really happy will do it immediately, it is something to note.

Story
Miles is a good cat. He likes to lay on my lap, look at the birds out the window, catch mice in the basement, and lounge in his cat tree. He is 6 years old. We originally got him from a foster organization. We are only rehoming him because our lives have become very financially and generally stressful as my wife has had a lot of health issues in the last few years. She had to stop working for a while so we are no longer able to afford him. We would love to find a good home for him. He gets along fine with our kids but isn't super friendly with them. Just keeps his distance. He does playfully swat at our dog as he walks by, but nothing more than that. They're not friends but there's no animosity.

Story
Mimosa (Mimi) is a cute little gal with some mischief in her. She tends to hide when people are over and loves to hide in silly places. She only wants affection on her terms but can be cuddly occasionally! She will probably do best in a home with out dogs or kids. She’s okay with cats since she tends to just want to be on her own!

Story
Zoey is 1 year old. Very clingy, loves attention and cuddling, loves to eat. She is scared to transitions at first and will stay still a lot. She’s a big cat for her age, very long. She’s pretty desensitized. She likes to play with litter so use as little as possible (but still enough). Zoey loves new people and everyone loves her. Unfortunately she can be high maintenance since she loves attention and it’s too much for college student apt life, and I am mildly allergic and my sister is pretty allergic. We’re moving to a new college house with more girls and cannot take her.

Story
Colby is a super sociable, friendly 6 year old big orange tabby cat. He loves cuddles, toys, and belly scratches, as well as lounging in the window sill. He's fully house trained and also LOVES shoes for some reason. My wife has been his only owner, but sadly he does not get along with our other cat. We think that she never welcomed him fully and therefore he takes medication for anxiety. He has had urine crystals in the past, for which the vet prescribed urinary care food. We have also added a baby to the home which has caused additional anxiety. Colby would do best in a home with few other pets, he is a bundle of joy and active young cat. Colby has not spent much time with dogs but is good with older kids or kids that he has a chance to get used to. A welcoming cat may also be a good fit for Colby as he is extremely social.

He is definitely a cuddler is loves to be rubbed and is friendly to other animals. I have had him for about 6 years, I’m heartbroken that I have to give him away, I just know it’s a better family that can give him the loves he deserves

Story
Five cute-as-can-be kittens who were born in our program and are 19 weeks old. They are all very friendly, social, playful and well adjusted. They would like to be adopted in pairs so they have a kitten friend. Marigold has lovely calico markings. Don't let her tiny size fool you; she is a pint-sized extrovert with a larger-than-life personality. She is the ultimate social butterfly of the group and always on the go. When she finally winds down, this chatty girl loves to tell you all about her day before showering you with sweet nose-boop kisses and settling in for cozy lap time. Poppy is a beautiful dilute calico and a brave little adventurer who is incredibly social with humans and always eager to investigate new things. She easily matches the high-energy antics of her siblings. Beyond her playful acrobatics, she has a deeply sweet soul and shows her love by grooming her littermates, the fosters dog and her humans. Clover is a gorgeous dilute calico with a remarkably gentle and polite personality. She is wonderfully patient during playtime, waiting her turn for toys, or eagerly sharing them. She loves chasing balls with bells in them and finding new hidey-holes for quick naps. More than anything, this sweet girl absolutely loves chin scritches and will quickly melt into your hand for some dedicated affection. Violet is a gorgeous gray tabby. Although she may be on the smaller side, this chatty little girl is an athletic powerhouse who will outmaneuver anyone to chase a toy. After showing off her acrobatic skills, she loves nothing more than demonstrating her champion snuggle skills when she settles down in the arms (or neck) of her human. Hobbes is a handsome orange tabby and a loveable goofball. He loves being the life of the party and enthusiastic playtime. When he really wants to show off his bubbly kitten energy, it is absolutely hilarious to watch him wrestle a kicker toy for his very life. Once he has thoroughly conquered his plush adversaries, he is wonderfully gentle and loves nothing more than lounging in your lap for dedicated chin scritches. They can make a toy out of anything; cardboard boxes are great hiding places and napping places. All use their cardboard scratching pad and their carpeted scratching post. They are in a foster home with a small dog and do fine with her; they are too active to be adopted into a home with adult cats. They may be okay with older respectful children (10 years and up) but they haven't been around kids in our program. Cats can live 18+ years so be sure you can give them their forever homes. They are all spayed/neutered, FeLV and FIV negative, and have had all three of their kitten distemper vaccinations. As noted, they need to be adopted in pairs (except one can be adopted alone). Their adoption fee is $350 for a pair, $200 for one. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about seeing these friendly, playful kittens.

Story
MALCOLM and MARNIE are approx. 5.5 years old. They are both cute brown and white tabbies who came into our program as strays and were very, very scared, but they have enjoyed the routine in their foster home and their individual personalities have blossomed. They love being together and Marnie feels braver with Malcolm nearby. Malcolm has short hair and loves playing with his two rope toys in particular, pushing them under a door and then trying to scoop them back inside. When called, he stops whatever he’s doing to enthusiastically run over for affection. Malcolm is so excited to get neck rubs and back scratches that he happily purrs and bonks his head into anything and everything nearby - furniture, his foster’s legs, his food dish, or whatever else happens to be close! He will sit on his foster's lap when she is relaxing and has become so much more trusting in his foster home. Marnie has lovely thick, medium hair and had become more at ease. She is very curious and likes to check out what her people are doing and wants to be in the same room as they are. She loves treats and eats out of her foster’s hand and has learned that being petting is great while she purrs happily. Marnie enjoys playing with any kind of interactive feather toy. She loves sitting on the top of her cat tree by the window and watching the activity in the yard. If you are the special person who has a lot of patience, a calm presence, and can give Malcolm and Marnie a quiet home and consistent routine, they will give you so much in return (they do well when they know what to expect). They would do best in a home without other animals or children and in a home where their people don't plan on moving. Malcolm and Marnie are neutered/spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Their adoption fee is $320 for the adorable pair. Call 651-771-5662 if you are the special person for these two sweet cats.

Story
CALI and BENNIE are approximately 5 years old. Although they aren't littermates, they have been together since they were kittens, and they balance each other beautifully, with Bennie bringing exuberance and affection while Cali offers a quiet presence, sweet companionship, and a touch of independent charm. They are looking for a forever home together, where they can keep each other company and share their love with someone who appreciates two very different but compatible personalities. Their owner died so Second Chance was asked to take them into our program. Bennie is a brown and gold tiger with striking green eyes and a sweet, trusting nature. Once he bonds with his person, he gives his whole heart. He is a deeply affectionate boy who loves to cuddle and will curl up on a lap, chest, or stretched out right alongside someone while they relax or watch TV. Sometimes he even reaches up with a gentle paw to ask for more attention. Bennie adores scratches, enjoys massages, and purrs endlessly and happily. He is calm, tolerant, and incredibly sweet-natured. Although he is usually quiet, he becomes very vocal when food or treats might be involved, since he is highly motivated by the chance of a snack. His energy and agility show when he leaps enthusiastically to the top of his cat tree and flips over with his tummy in the air, and he is just as happy being carried around or being held by his person. Although he loves being near people and enjoys being around Cali, he has not been accepting of the other cats in his foster home. Cali is a lovely calico with a soft coat, green eyes, and a personality that blends independence with affection. She is quieter than Bennie and communicates with adorable chirps and meeps, but she is very clear when she wants attention. She will confidently bonk her head into a hand to demand pets and will continue until she gets the affection she is seeking. Cali takes a bit longer than Bennie to warm up to new people, but once she does, she becomes a devoted and relaxed lounging companion who prefers to stretch out beside someone rather than on their lap. She often lies on her back with her tummy up. When her human is working, she will come over, put her paws on their knees, and give a soft little chirp until she receives some pets. Cali is independent and particular about how she wants to be handled, and she does not like being held or carried, but she is deeply affectionate in her own way and loves being close to her person on her own terms. Cali is especially captivated by light reflections and loves to chase them across the floor or up the walls, and she also enjoys batting around her poofy pom-pom toys. Cali is quite a bit overweight and is on low calorie food to help slowly take some weight off (and she is getting exercise by playing with her fosters). The adopter must continue monitoring her food intake and keep her on a low cal food. They both love hanging out on their cat tree by the window or snoozing inside their felt cat cave beds. Both like simple cardboard scratchers; Bennie prefers an angled one, while Cali enjoys spending time on a cardboard lounger that she scratches on and uses as her little perch. Since they have grown up together, they must be adopted as a pair. They would prefer a home without dogs or other cats; they have not been around children in our program but should be fine with older, respectful kids (12+ years). Bennie and Cali are neutered/spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, and distemper and rabies vaccinated. Their adoption fee is $350 for the sweet pair. Call 651-771-5662 to inquire about this affectionate duo.
