Story
Jelly Bean is a sweet, curious, playful little gal. She loves a warm lap to snuggle on. She has beautiful markings and may be part Savannah cat. She's great with kids and tolerates my dog. She's declawed in the front (was declawed when I got her), spayed and up to date on vaccines. I'm making the difficult decision to rehome her because I accepted her on a trial basis and she hasn't been able to accept my other cat. She has had some urinary issues, including urinary crystals. I feed her the Hill's urinary prescription diet and she will likely need to stay on that. The vet thinks her inappropriate urination was probably due to the crystals and stress with my other cat. Her accidents have all been on carpet so she may do best in a home without carpet. If interested, please tell me about your living situation and whether you are willing to keep her on the prescription diet. Thanks.

Story
She was found by a lady who takes care of a local cat colony. She has been given all her shots and spayed. We feed her fancy feast pate. The only reason we are rehoming her is because our older kitty just doesn’t seem to want to get along with her. Also we are expecting a baby in December. Chise is the sweetest girl. She loves to play and snuggle. I think if she could sit on your lap all day she would. She’s so funny. She has an electric ball toy she loves to chase. Come and meet her and you will fall in love.

Story
Linda is a playful, spunky, chatty, confident, cuddly, athletic and very curious 1.5yo. She loves her ribbon, the laser, and being held like a baby. She's very treat motivated, too! We have another cat and dog, and unfortunately our resident cat is NOT a fan of Linda. Linda loves our dog, though. She licks our dog's legs and gets along well with her. I think Linda would be fine with another cat given the proper introduction. Linda has also interacted VERY well with my 4yo niece and 2yo nephew. My hope is that whoever adopts Linda will give her the enrichment and love she deserves. I would also love updates to be able to stay connected! I'm devastated we're not able to keep her, but I know she'll be happier in another home. She's a little tricky to get a good picture of because she's always moving, but I guarantee she's the CUTEST cat :)

Story
Kitty, spayed female, 6 years old. Kitty is just a chill princess. She loves being by herself and a little attention here and there. Most of the time if she needs attention she’ll come to you. She’s okay with kids, she can really tolerate kids, she won’t bite or hiss unless they are hurting her then she meows or just a warning bite. With new people she approach you & if she wants scratches she’ll rub on you and once you do you can pretty much touch and hold her lol. Miss girly here needs her boundaries. Once in a while she’ll come stay next to you, she mostly like to lay above your head or next to you, she don’t like cuddling. If sleeping with you, she’ll most likely sleep by the end of the bed or under the blanket by your feet/legs or on your back lol. She is okay with dogs if introduce properly but most of the time she doesn’t care about anything or anyone.

Story
Hello, my name is Lucile. I was surrendered to rescue & am now ready to find my forever home after lots of ups & downs. I came into foster in December of 2023. I had broken my ribs countless times prior to rescue. Unknown cause. It took many months for me to heal. I developed dry FIP & was treated for it for 84 days. When I was midway through observation Ithe FIP came back. I was treated for another 84 days of treatment. During this time my mouth became very painful & I developed stomatitis. I had a dental cleaning & was healing well. During my FIP treatment I had a lot of stomach/digestion issues. I had a scope to figure out why. I was diagnosed with early signs of IBD. I'm doing well now & am currently not on any meds or special diet. I may need to be in the future during flare ups. While in observation for FIP my stomatitis flared up & decision was made to remove the majority of my teeth. Things are finally calm & all the medical trials are behind me. Through it all I am a happy, loving girl that is sweet. I can't believe I am ready for a new home. I am excited to experience this for myself as I've  seen a lot of my cat friends come/go to new homes. I hope you choose to be the lucky one to give me my forever home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 13, 2025, 8:06 pm

Story
Hello, my name is Fern. I was brought to SFAAR when I was only a few weeks old. When I was 3 month old I went to the vet to be spayed. While I was at the vet, I was diagnosed with a grade 5 heart murmur and heart failure. Because of that, I may not have a full life span. Despite all that, I love to play with other cats and I adore people. I enjoy my food and eat like a normal kitty. While my time here may be short, I just celebrated two years in rescue. My heart condition is being controlled with heart medication, but because I am doing so awesome in my foster home, I am not curretly on any medication. Even though we don't know how much longer I will be around, I am enjoying every second I have and am living life to the fullest.Sometimes I get a urniary tract infection or ear infection, but those are treated very easily with antibiotics.SFAAR will adopt Fern into a home that understands his life expectancy is unknown and who has experience with a cat with a heart issue. They would also need to continue her medication and help keep her quality of life comfortable.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2025, 5:30 pm
