Story
If you would like to meet Boz, please read through her full bio, then visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and to schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com Boz is a female, DSH gray/brown Tabby, DOB Mar. 2017, Up-to-date on vaccinations and spayed. Microchipped. Boz was brought in as a stray; a concerned person was feeding her but they were worried about colder temps that were forecasted for our area and what that might mean for Boz. Gregory's was there to help! Boz is a quiet cat that would love to have her own person, one that could give her all the attention she deserves. She is great with people of any age. Gets along fabulously with other cats; dogs are an unknown. She is a bit independent and will come to you when she wants attention (she of course will allow you to approach her, too, but she's kind of a Diva and likes things on her terms). She loves treats! Does great with brushing and nail trims. She's an older gal, but we like to just call them seasoned gems. :) Boz has been with us for quite some time and is used to being around other cats and therefore, she would do best in a home with existing cats or, be adopted with another of our cats here at GGOH. Could you be the one to give this gorgeous girl her forever home?

Story
Gilligan (along with his family members of Skipper, MaryAnn, and Lovee) was brought to GGOH after a kind and caring woman took him in from the outdoors, concerned about the falling temperature that was upon us. This group came in shy and afraid but are coming along nicely now that they know that humans can be trusted and that we are their source for food, love and caring. Gilligan has great potential but he will need an adopter that is understanding and patient, giving him ample time to adjust to his new surroundings. Due to his shy personality, we would recommend a home with no little children; older children would be okay as they can read and respect a cat's signs and signals. If you think you have a home/family that would be ideal for Gilligan, why not stop in and meet him - give him a chance to know what a family and a home full of love really feels like. Gilligan's DOB is 3/9/18.

Story
Polo came to us as a special case, needing immediate help for a bone fracture that happened when she was attacked by the owner's dog. Poor sweet Polo had been attacked and left to heal on her own until another private rescuer got wind of her condition and talked the owner into surrendering her. Polo underwent surgery for the repair and is doing very well. Polo loves attention and will seek out affection from you, but she does have a fear of being picked up which we attribute to the pain she was left in for so long. We do believe that in time she will learn to trust and will get over those fears but it isn't something that we see happening quickly and therefore, our recommendation for adoption is no young children. She really is quite lovable and would do fine with older children who can understand and work with her limitations. Let us clarify "limitations" though - she runs, she jumps, she plays and tumbles with other cats, etc. Her limitations are strictly behavioral and on her own terms. This sweetie is soooo deserving of a new forever home; she went through a lot before she made her way to us but there's nothing stopping her now. If you have room in your heart for a spicy gal with lots of love to give and are not bothered by the fact that she prefers not to be picked up, then Polo just might be your match. Polo's DOB is approx. 12/2017.

Story
This breathtakingly beautiful girl is Kevyn. As you can see from her profile pic she has a gorgeous silky black coat and stunning golden eyes. Kevyn is somewhat on the shy side and thus, we are recommending a home without small children as little ones tend to want to chase after and pick up their cats and Kevyn isn't a real fan of that - she would much rather lay by your side and receive her affection from the safety of the solid surface underneath her. She is a quiet little lady and would be ideal for someone in an apartment or any living situation where noise is a consideration. Kevyn loves treats and a laser mouse - you want Kevyn's attention, either of those will do the trick. She likes pets but those that are done in a calming way - no roughhousing with this girl, it's just not her thing. Kevyn is one of our FIP warriors - she kicked it to the curb and has not looked back. We can give you a more detailed picture of what her treatment was when you visit but just let it be known, she has a long worry-free life ahead of her. She's happy and healthy and waiting for her forever family. We don't like to dwell on this aspect of her care too much, but we also like to be up-front about it as we're not the kind of rescue that withholds or hides information from our prospective adopters. Everything is laid on the table so you can make an informed decision. We have several adoptive families that have FIP warrior kitties and I can guarantee that each and every one of them would agree that FIP does not define their sweet family members - they are healthy and happy and act just like any other kitty would. They would tell you, "go for it - 100%, go for it!". Kevyn's DOB is 06/28/2019. If you're interested in meeting Kevyn, we ask that you first visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and then, to schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com

Story
Venus arrived at GGOH with her litter mates after their momma arrived here at GGOH and we found her to be pregnant. Venus is one of our more challenging cats - she's shy and nervous around us humans but we know that she has it in her to be sweet and loving - it will just take time and patience. Due to her current social skills, our recommendation is that she not go to a home where there are young children - young ones would definitely not understand her. Over time, and once she is familiar with her new life and home, she may relinquish and be acceptable of being held (or may not), but we absolutely don't want her new life to start off on the wrong foot so please only inquire about her if you are okay with her personality type and can accept her for who she is. She's great with other cats and would make a wonderful companion to a perhaps lonely feline. Also of mention is that Venus is one of our FIP kitten warriors - she battled the beast and won. We can give you a more detailed picture of what her treatment was when you visit but just let it be known, she has a long worry-free life ahead of her. We don't like to dwell on this aspect of her care too much, but we also like to be up-front about it as we're not the kind of rescue that withholds or hides information from our prospective adopters. Everything is laid on the table so you can make an informed decision. Venus's DOB is 7/23/19. As we've said, Venus is one of our more challenging cats and even though she's had a few bumps in the road, we 100% believe she is worthy of love and acceptance and know her special someone is out there somewhere - could it be you? If you're interested in meeting Venus, we ask that you first visit our website to review our adoption process and requirements and then, to schedule an on-site appointment. www.ggohinc.com

Story
Rita is a shy young lady who came to us from a farm where an over-population problem was imminent if help wasn't received soon. She is a curious cat, taking her time to observe new situations before approaching and investigating. She accepts pets and affection as long as you go slow; she's learning to trust and has been progressing just as we had hoped she would. Rita would be a great addition to any home as long as the new family is willing to give her time and space to acclimate at her pace. Her ideal setting, however, would be with one individual that could give her consistent attention and one where the home is somewhat quiet. She does great with other cats. Dogs are unknown as we've only observed her watching them from a comfortable distance. She loves treats - they are the key to heart! Rita really needs someone to reach out to her and let her know that she is loved and it's okay to go slow. Could that someone be you? Rita's DOB is approx. 3/24/2020. (P.S. - The photos of Rita are of her sitting in one of our internal room windows waiting for treats to be passed through to her. It's her thing. She really loves her treats!) If you'd like to meet Rita, hop over to our website @ www.ggohinc.com to review our adoption process and requirements and then schedule an appointment for a visit.
