Story
Hi! I’m Mrs. Beasley, a 3-year-old hound mix with big, soulful eyes. People tell me they look a little sad… and maybe that’s because they’ve seen a lot. But I’m hoping my happiest chapter is still waiting for me.Not too long ago, I was busy raising 10 puppies. Being their mama was the most important job I’ve ever had. I loved them, protected them, cleaned them, cuddled them, and made sure they had everything they needed. They’re all grown up now, and while I’m so proud of them, it’s finally my turn to find a family who will love me the way I loved them.I’ll be honest—I don’t give my heart away right away. Life has taught me to be a little cautious. But once I decide you’re my person, you’re my person. I’ll follow you from room to room, watch you with my big hound eyes, lean in for pets, and quietly remind you every day just how much I love you. Now… there’s something else you should know about me.I’m a hound. That means my nose is basically in charge of my life. If I catch an interesting smell, there’s a pretty good chance my ears will stop working for a minute. I can be a little stubborn, but I like to think of it as “independently motivated.” With patience, kindness, and a little consistency, I’ll keep learning. Besides, a girl has to keep a little mystery, right?I love cozy naps, slow walks where I can sniff absolutely everything, soft blankets, tasty treats, and spending time with other dogs. Running, wrestling, playing chase… if another dog wants to be my friend, I’m all in!Now… I do need to make one thing perfectly clear. After careful consideration, I’ve decided men just aren’t my thing. Please don’t take it personally. I have my reasons, and they make me feel safest. I’d really love a home with a woman (or women) who will let me settle in at my own pace, love me for who I am, and never rush me. Maybe someday I’ll feel differently, but for now, this is where my heart is most comfortable. If you already have a playful dog, that’s a huge bonus! I’d love a furry sibling to romp around with. But if it’s just the two of us, I think we’d make a pretty wonderful team too.I’ve spent my whole life taking care of everyone else. Now I’m hoping someone will choose me.Could that someone be you?--------------------------------------------"Summer Lovin' Promo" For applications received now through 07/31/2026, Warrior Dog Rescue is reducing the adoption fee of all pups.
