Story
Hi there! I’m Tonka Truck, and I’m ready to ride to my forever home! I’m a sweet, loving boy with a classic vibe, kind of like the retro toy I’m named after. I may have a strong name, but my favorite things are cozy naps, cuddles, and getting belly rubs. If there’s a lap nearby, you can bet I’m headed straight for it. Don’t get me wrong, I have my playful side too! One of my best features? I have mastered the art of a perfect head tilt. It’s handy if you want to take pictures and show your friends how cute it is. Anyways, I’m calm, affectionate, and just happy to be here. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a sweet soul and a snuggly heart, buckle up because I might just be your perfect match!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $500To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
Vroom vroom! Hi, I’m Hot Wheels and that was the sound of me zooming straight into your heart! I’m a sweet, affectionate boy who loves to play hard and cuddle harder. One minute I’m racing around with my toys, the next I’m putting myself in park for belly rubs and snuggles. I’ve got a playful spirit and a gentle heart, and I absolutely adore being with people. Making new friends is super easy for me, I love everyone! I’m still a puppy, so I’m learning new things and exploring my surroundings. I’m hoping that my new family can show me the rest of the big world out there. With a little guidance, patience, and lots of love, I know I’ll grow into the best co-pilot you could ask for! If you think I could be a good fit, I’m ready to roll and cruise home with you!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
GI Joe here, reporting for snuggles! Nice to meet you! In my life up until now, life has been a little chaotic for my mom, siblings and I, but we are all happy and healthy which is most important! Despite how tough my name may sound, I’m definitely a lover, not a fighter. I love being close to humans, soaking up pets, and giving gentle kisses in return. I also have a silly side and I love being a part of the action. Whether I’m chasing my toys or my siblings, I just love to play! I’m so ready to find my forever family and I’m learning how to follow orders and work on my manners so that I can be a great pup. I'm hoping that you could help me with my mission to find my forever home. Could it be with you? --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Hi… I’m a 3- year-old hound mix with big, sad, soulful eyes that tell a story I’m still learning how to let go of. 💛I am a mom to ten puppies, and I take that job very seriously. I love them, protect them, and give them everything I have, like any good mother would. Now that they’re growing up, it’s my turn to find a family to care for me. I’ve learned to be careful with my heart. But once I know you’re my person, I love deeply and completely. I’ll stay close, watch you with my eyes, and soak up every bit of attention you give me.I should probably warn you—I’m a typical hound, which means I can be a little stubborn. If my nose catches an interesting scent, my ears might suddenly stop working 😉. I like doing things my way sometimes, but it’s all part of my charm, and I respond best to patience, consistency, and gentle guidance.I’m ready to trade in my mama duties for cozy naps, slow walks, and a family who sees me for the sweet, loyal girl I am.If you’re looking for a gentle heart to love and be loved by, I’m right here… waiting for my forever. 🐾❤️***FOSTER TO ADOPT***Mrs. Beasley is heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment. Once her treatment is complete, the adoption can be finalized. It is the responsibility of the adoptive family to get a microfilaria test 30 days after treatment for a preliminary result and a heartworm test 9 months after treatment for final results. During treatment, you will need to make sure her heart rate is not elevated due to high energy play or exercise until she receives a negative microfilaria test and is cleared by a veterinarian. Mrs. Beasley will also need continued use of monthly heartworm preventives going forward. This will all be covered by Warrior Dog until her last injection. Any other medical needs will be the responsibility of the adopter. If you are interested in adopting Mrs. Beasley, please fill out an adoption application. --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
Nice to meet you! I’m Pick Up Sticks, just like the retro game, but I promise I’m much easier (and more fun) to pick up! I’m a loving boy with a big heart, and I specialize in being sweet, snuggly, and charming. I may be tiny, but I’ve got a whole lot of love packed into this little body. I’m always ready to snuggle and give kisses in exchange for belly rubs. I love to play with every toy and once I’ve tired myself out, you bet I’m finding the comfiest spot for a good nap. I’m always up for anything whether that means a lazy nap or going on an adventure. As long as I’m with my people, that’s all I need. If you can picture me as a part of your family, come pick me up - I’m ready to head home! --------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxMeet Moto! Moto is a sweet, low-riding pup with adorable basset hound legs and a heart full of love. He gets along great with other dogs and loves to follow his foster sibling around the yard—he’s so short, he can even stroll right under her belly! Moto approaches every day with joyful enthusiasm, whether it’s playing with the resident dog, going for walks around the neighborhood, or snuggling on the couch with his nose resting on his foster’s shoulder. During the day, Moto is content to relax on his dog bed nearby while his foster works from home. He’s crate-trained, sleeps peacefully through the night, and does great when left alone, either in the crate or without it. He knows the basic commands of “sit” and “down” and walks well on a leash with occasional reminders to slow down, though he does find squirrels very exciting. Once he gets to know you, Moto’s expressive nature shines—his ears and voice tell you everything he’s feeling. His ears perk straight up when he’s excited, lay back on his head to listen when he walks ahead, and flop to the sides when he’s relaxed. He gives wide, squeaky yawns in the morning, may whine if he’s feeling lonely, yips excitement when it is time for a walk, and grunts when he is uncertain. He also has a deep, loud bark when he is alarmed or to alert that he needs to go out. That isn’t frequent, but might not be ideal for apartment living. Moto is recovering from a limp, and his short legs make stairs a bit of a challenge. He manages the shorter porch steps with a little help but avoids long flights of stairs. Moto would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can enjoy companionship, cozy naps, regular walks, and playtime with a dog friend. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-to-the-ground sweetheart who will fill your days with love and laughter, Moto would love to meet you!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters.
