Story
FROM THE FOSTER: The Vet estimated his age to be between 1 ½ to 2 years old. He is neutered, current on all vaccinations and microchipped. He is also house trained. One of the foster's Boston Terriers is 1 ½ and the two of them get along great, play together all the time and have never had an issue. Two older Boston's are not as crazy about him. They get jealous when he gets the attention. His personality is so sweet, he just wants attention and to be loved on. He gets very excited each morning when my wife gets up and is vocal in that special loud hound dog way. He is very sweet and loves to be cuddled and tries to climb on us like the little ones do. Because of being abandoned, he can be a little anxious if one of his foster's is gone. Jack will need a home where at least one someone is there all the time. Jack loves playing with Wubbas or any other rag type toy. He plays by himself by running around the yard and throwing the toy in the air. The older bostons sometimes do play tug-of-war with him and will chase him all over the yard trying to take the toys from him. His typical day is laying on the porch, couch, or in my chair while my wife is working. Then running around the yard and playing with the toys when she gets a break. Once I get home we all go out and throw the toys for all the dogs to fetch, chase each other, and play tug-of-war. Each night he will sleep on a dog bed in our room, or on the couch in my wife’s spot.

Story
Lady is being fostered in TX. HI! I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me! I am about 3 months old*. My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light. Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come! Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained. Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment. Are you ready to love me? * By the time of this writing on July 2nd. BDRA has voted against the use of eletrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Azro is a Treeing Walker Coonhound with a lot of personality packed into a laid-back package. A-Z has come to us after the family that has loved and cared for him his entire life experienced a medical crisis. We are helping Azro find a new home for the rest of his life.  He’s friendly, playful, and intelligent, but his best trait is how adaptable he is—he fits into whatever rhythm the family has going on. He loves food, enjoys tug-of-war, and will happily go for a short walk, but he’s just as content lounging around the house.  If you start petting him, don’t expect to stop anytime soon—he’ll stick with you. He’s also looks out for family time in his own way, like when he steps in front of the TV if we’ve been glued to it for too long.  Azro is easy to love and even easier to live with. He truly is a gentle soul. He has a big, heart-shaped spot on his side that matches his personality perfectly—he’s full of love. He’s lazy but playful when you engage him, friendly with everyone, and very smart.  He knows the difference between his toys and the kids’, and he loves tug-of-war. He is very obedient. He will not touch food on the table or furniture. He is basically the chilliest dog, even though he is supposed to be a hunting dog - instead, he’s kind of a couch potato who loves attention.  Ask to meet Azro: Retrieveafriend.Org/adoptVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 9:46 pm

Story
What kind of dog is Guidry? We see American Foxhound, Treeing Walker Coonhound, Beagle. Maybe a combination thereof? Whatever it is, the result is a wonderful dog. Smaller than a Walker, taller than a Beagle and sturdy in built. His personality is sweet, laid back and accommodating with all the new friends he met at rescue. We see Guidry as a great companion to an active person or family, who love to be outside and explore nature. Of course a nice sofa will be appreciated too. How about it? Our Furry Friendz are available for adoption through a screening process which includes but is not limited to: a completed application, 3 referrals, a home visit, and a vet referral prior to their furever home placement. The dogs are Spayed/Neutered, micro chipped, current on all vaccines and on heart worm/flea preventive. Story
Meet Tulip Tulip is a sweet, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality. She absolutely loves people and enjoys making new dog friends. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will shower you with love, cuddles, and plenty of entertainment, Tulip may be your perfect match. Tulip is potty trained and does well when left alone. She is trusted to roam freely in the house and usually spends her time relaxing on the couch. While she isn’t a huge fan of being crated, she tolerates it when needed and will sometimes choose to nap in her crate when the door is left open. This playful girl enjoys walks, toys, and getting silly when she’s excited. She loves treats and will happily accept them—unless she’s feeling full or is waiting to finish her potty business first! Tulip is also a world-class cuddler. She adores lounging on the couch and would be thrilled to share your bed if you let her. Things to Know About Tulip Very friendly with people and other dogs Potty trained Loves walks, toys, treats, and cuddle time Trusted loose in the home when left alone She sheds  Most have toys availble all the time as she likes to chew on things Afraid of going upstairs - she will need patience while she adjust to your home Tulip would thrive in a home with a yard where she can stretch her legs and play, but she can also do well in an apartment as long as she gets plenty of exercise and attention. If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and devoted companion who will keep your couch warm and your heart full, Tulip is ready to bloom in her forever home.
