Meet Henry, a handsome, long-legged Treeing Walker Coonhound born in December 2020. Henry is an affectionate guy who hasn’t met a person he doesn’t love. After some time outside stretching his legs and putting his incredible hound nose to work, he’s more than happy to settle in for a good couch snuggle. Henry doesn’t need a packed social calendar to enjoy life. A securely fenced yard where he can sniff and explore, along with walks in quieter areas, would suit him beautifully. Busy environments can be a lot for Henry, and he may bark or react to the sights and sounds around him. Continued reward-based training would help him build skills and feel more comfortable on outings. True to his breed, Henry has a wonderfully expressive hound voice—and he isn’t afraid to use it! His future family should appreciate his vocal personality. Henry has a strong prey drive and needs a home without cats or other small animals. He is also selective with dogs and is looking to be the only dog in the home. If you’re looking for a loving, delightfully houndy companion who enjoys yard adventures, leisurely sniffing, and plenty of time beside his people, Henry may be your perfect match. Dexter is a handsome Hound mix with a nose that`s always ready for the next adventure! This sweet, affectionate boy is looking for a forever family that loves the outdoors as much as he does. Whether it`s a long walk through the neighborhood or a hike on your favorite trail, Dexter is happiest when he can follow his nose and explore the world one scent at a time.Like many hounds, Dexter is incredibly driven by his sense of smell and enjoys taking his time to investigate every interesting scent along the way. Because of his breed traits, he would do best with a family that has researched hounds or, even better, has previous experience owning one. Hounds are intelligent, fun-loving dogs, but they can also be vocal and independent, making them a better fit for experienced dog owners than first-time adopters.Dexter has participated in playgroups at the shelter and has shown to be social with female dogs around his size. He has displayed some selective behavior with male dogs and would do best in a home with female canine companions only.Because he is a hunting breed, Dexter`s history with cats and other small animals is unknown. However, adopters should keep in mind that his natural instincts may make a home with small pets difficult, so a feline- and small animal-free home would likely be the best fit.Based on his behavior in our care, we believe Dexter would do best in the home with Teens and Adults. He can get overwhelmed with smaller children.Dexter would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely explore and stretch his legs. Available in TX only! King is a one year old Basset Hound/Lab mix with a gentle soul and a laid back nature. He is still gaining confidence and can be scared of new things, especially loud noises, but once he feels safe he settles in nicely. When he gets excited he can be a little jumpy, though most of the time he is calm and easygoing. King truly enjoys running around the yard, going on walks, and soaking up outdoor time. He has a playful side and loves playing fetch with frisbees and balls. Tug of war is another favorite game, and he is a big fan of chew time. Knuckle bones, hard chew toys for power chewers, and anything he can safely gnaw on make him very happy. King is crate trained and house trained, which makes him an easy addition to a home. King does have a prey drive and enjoys chasing squirrels and frogs, and he will chase cats, so a cat free home is recommended. He also has a sensitive stomach and does best on sensitive stomach dog food. King would thrive in a patient, understanding home that will give him time to build confidence and continue showing him the world is a safe place. One early morning a group of stray dogs began to attack a dog in search of food. Due to the noises, a person went outside and realized that the dog was pregnant, so he decided to take in the mother-to-be. A month later Eddy and his siblings were born. Eddy is a very playful and friendly puppy who loves to play and run all day long. he has a lot of energy. He likes to jump and climb things, play with ropes and balls, sunbathe in the afternoons, socialize with other dogs. He can be a bit naughty and effusive, however, eddy is a loving and cuddly puppy who loves to receive affection and to have your attention. He is the ideal playmate for children. At first he can be a little shy and distrustful but he just needs time to adapt to his new home and show his true personality. He has no problem with cats or dogs. He is used to live with many dogs and eat with them. He is not very noisy and does not howl. He is a bit grumpy with other dogs but he is not aggressive. The $550.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to Oregon or Washington. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.

Beatrice Bianca is the sweetest dog! She isn't a velcro dog. She likes to sleep next to u. BB is 3. You can see she had a rough start to her life since someone zip-tied her muzzle. She is smart as a Belgian Malinois. There's a hole in the fence? She'll wait for you on the other side of the gate. She is strong at only 35#. She's house-trained as long as you let her out. She is a rascal; if you put her on a leash and attach her to something, she'll just chew thru it. You want to put an AirPod on her? She will figure out a way to chew it off. She's so smart she gets bored easily, so if you leave her alone in the house, expect some kind of mayhem. I adopted her from someone who left her in a crate for 8 hours a day, so she hates a crate. She used to do some resource guarding of her food and of me, but no more. I am heartbroken to rehome her, but she has a very high prey drive, and I have cats. She would do best in a home with older children. She deserves a loving home. Come meet her!
