IF YOU ARE VIEWING THIS LISTI NG ON PETFINDER OR ADOPT-A-PET, please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to access adoption requirements, more information and pictures. ***PLEASE RESEARCH WEIMARANER BREED SO YOU UNDERSTAND DAPHNE'S EXERCISE NEEDS*** Daphne’s mom is a Weimaraner and her dad is unknown (DNA test pending), but there’s no question that her personality channels serious Weimaraner energy. Nearly 4 months old and around 25 lbs, this beautiful girl is smart, spirited, and full of life, and she’s looking for an active home that can provide the leadership, structure, patience, and love she needs to thrive. Daphne currently lives with a senior foster brother whom she absolutely adores. She loves to play and would be over the moon to have a playful canine sibling in her forever home. Highly intelligent and eager to learn, Daphne already knows sit, come, and kennel—though she occasionally pretends she doesn’t 😉. Once settled, she sleeps through the night in her kennel and is doing wonderfully with her routine. While she enjoys curling up on the couch near her people, she’s still very much a rambunctious puppy most of the time. Daphne would do best with a family that understands energetic, working-breed tendencies and is committed to continued training and enrichment. Because of her enthusiasm and play style she is best suited to kids 7 years and up. With the right guidance and commitment, Daphne will grow into an incredible companion—loyal, loving, and ready for every adventure. Daphne will require day to day exercise and walks. Daphne would do best in a home with another young and playful dog. Daphne will require an adopter who is home a good portion of the day to continue training—no exceptions. The puppy is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped and will need to be spayed or neutered at 6 months of age. The Adoption Fee for this puppy $400.00 plus a $100.00 spay/neuter refundable deposit. ***Please note, this pup's immune system will not be fully functioning until about 16 weeks of age and therefore, s/he is not suited for Apartment/Condo living or Town homes without a private fenced yard and will not be able to go to public places where s/he could possibly be exposed to the germs of unvaccinated dogs, such as PetSmart/PetCo and dog parks until s/he is 16 weeks old*** ***You must be at least 25 years of age to adopt from CKRescue*** The adoption fee for this dog is $400, which helps with the cost of routine vet care. This fee DOES NOT INCLUDE spay/neuter if the pup is not already spayed/neutered. If the animal you are adopting is not already spayed/neutered, you will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered. A $100.00 fee will be returned to the adopter once the animal has been sterilized. We will provide information on this process during the approval process. ***Note that puppy adoption fees most often help generate revenue that goes towards older, special needs animals that need our help. Surgeries, heartworm treatment, boarding costs and/or all things that often result in adoptable dogs and cats being left behind to be euthanized. So, adopting a puppy saves not just one life, but many! ***Please note that our first step in approving adoption applicants is to complete a vet check. Vetting of current and past pets is very important to us, thus we will be speaking with the vet(s) listed on your application to ensure that your current and previous pet(s) are kept up to date on vaccines (including rabies), spayed or neutered, maintained on appropriate monthly preventatives and examined annually by your vet.*** Our organization cannot guarantee the exact breed of any animal in our care. The breed listed is based on any background we may have been provided, and/or the general appearance of the animal. **Please visit www.caninesandkittiesrescue.org to complete our non-binding application.**

Glenn Dale is a sweet and loving big country boy. He likes nothing better than shaking your hand and getting some loving ear scratches. Those big amber eyes will steal your heart. He loves people and other dogs, especially if they are as easy-going as he is, and they want to play. This big lug is crate-trained and will happily spend the night on a soft bed inside his kennel. He is very devoted and will follow you like a shadow. He needs a home that doesn't have chickens or cats, he gets a little too excited around them.

Story
This sweet young girl (under 1 year, ~41 lbs) is a gentle, affectionate, and loving dog who was found as a stray and is now in a safe foster setting. She adores people, loves being pet, and has been wonderful with kids, many dogs, and cats. She is very submissive, respectful, quiet in the home, and travels and sleeps calmly in a crate. She can be a little timid initially, but has no aggression and no bite history. She is currently looking for a forever home because our senior dog does not tolerate sharing attention, and we want what’s best for both dogs. She is heart-worm positive but treatable, has had her rabies vaccine and flea/tick prevention, and her rescue family is willing to help cover heart-worm treatment costs. She is a truly gentle soul who will make a loving, grateful, and happy companion.

Foster Homes Needed! Do you have time and room in your life for a foster dog? http://www.muttloverescue.org/foster.html *****************   Some dogs come to us with very special needs and BamBam is one of those dogs.  While he is a playful pup full of energy and affection, he is also extremely fearful of the world.  This fear can manifest into making him protective and reactive.  As his anxiety traits present a challenge, a quiet, experienced and patient home is required to address his needs.  He should also be in a home without children or other pets.  Among his many positive qualities, he is quiet, house trained, crate trained, and he will sit nicely and lift his paw for a treat.  He is extremely shy when meeting new people but once BamBam feels comfortable, he will be your loyal companion forever!    **BECAUSE OF OUR REQUIREMENT FOR A HOME VISIT, WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ADOPT TO HOMES IN THE NORTHERN VA / MARYLAND / DC METRO AREA** We have adoption events EVERY SATURDAY from 12-3 p.m. Please note that not all dogs can attend every event, so if you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please complete a no-obligation application on our website at http://www.muttloverescue.org/application.html OR write to adopt@muttloverescue.org. Story
Meet Star! 🌟 Star is a 4-year-old Catahoula/Hound mix with a heart every bit as big as her personality. This girl has been through more than most dogs ever should - she was shot, and the bullet went through her jaw and ear. She underwent jaw surgery, and as a result, her tongue now hangs out permanently. But Star doesn’t let her past define her. She is pure resilience wrapped in sweetness. Star is incredibly affectionate and so happy-natured. She loves to run, explore, and play, but she also knows how to wind down and melt into you for snuggles - the perfect balance of fun and companionship. She does wonderfully with kids and gets along beautifully with other dogs, but would do best in a feline-free home as her instints may lead her to chase. She enjoys car rides and would make a wonderful adventure buddy for someone who wants a loyal co-pilot by their side. She’s very smart, already knows “sit,” and uses the doggie door like a total pro. Star is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find the family who will love her for the amazing, one-of-a-kind girl she is. If you’re looking for a dog with a beautiful soul and an even more beautiful spirit, Star is your girl. 💛🐾 RPACI is a non profit rescue, and currently possess our 501C3 to operate as such. Please visit us on Facebook: Rebecca's Paws and Claws in Remlap and our website: www.rpacirescue.org. All dogs from this rescue are transported from Alabama to the Pennsylvania/ New England/ Virginia area and delivered in Pennsylvania, Virginia and RI. Each dog will come fully vetted. Price also includes transportation and a Health Certificate as required by law. There is a 100.00 deposit required at the time of adoption to secure the transport crate. The remainder of the fee will be paid once you pick up the dog. Naturally the 100.00 comes off the total owed at pick up. It will be refunded if for any reason you decide you do not want to adopt, unless the transport has already left.with the dog.
