K-9 Lifesavers stepped in to save them, and now they are ready to find their respective loving forever homes. Cumin is a stunning Weimaraner/Lab mix (best guess) with a personality just as lovely as his looks. Despite his rough start in life, he is sweet, gentle and loving. He is also great with other dogs and would love the chance to discover just how wonderful life with a family can be. At his young age, Cumin is in his prime for training and socialization and is ready to learn, grow and become an amazing companion. All he needs now is someone willing to give him the happy ending he so very much deserves. Could that be you? Apply today and change Cumin’s life forever — and yours too! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. Story
Hey there — I'm Spirit, a stunning 1-year-old black Weimaraner-Retriever mix, and I'm ready to bring some joy into your life! 🐾 I'm already spayed and weigh in at a solid 69 lbs, with plenty of room to grow into my role as your new best friend. I absolutely love other dogs and get along great with cats too, making me a fantastic fit for multi-pet homes. I've got a friendly, playful spirit with medium energy — I'm affectionate without being over the top, so we'll have fun together while keeping things balanced. My adoption fee is $150, and I can't wait to meet you! 💕

Story
Hola!! Mi amo Winona, como esta??? I am doing pretty well! Except I am still looking for my furever family.... :( I was found as a very very young puppy, with my siblings on the side of the road. No one knows where my mama is... unfortunately in the south LOTS of "people" would rather kill the product of unaltered female and male dogs than actually just get them spayed and neutered......... and very likely that is why we were left so carelessly on the side of a road at 2 weeks old.... just to die... Anyway, off my soapbox because so so many people and rescues in the south are working hard to overcome stupidity and do the right thing so it doesn't happen to other pups! I am a sweet and really gorgeous girl. My siblings and I looked very pittie and weimaraner size/temperament and personality wise. I have a gorgeous apricot colored coat with some blonde highlights (the kind you get at a fancy hairdresser :), mine were FREE :) I am now 3.6 yrs old and in my maturity I have stopped all the puppy antics- no chewing, barking, digging, peeing or pooping all over the place for me!! i am well mannered, will hang out with you while you work and then we can go for a walk or a run and then binge watch Masterchef (I LOVE ME some GORDON RAMSAY!!) until we get sleepy! That is my ideal day, so if you are down for hanging out with me all the time, fill out the adoption application and just give me happy and loving home please!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $550 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Meet Sadie! Just a few weeks ago, Sadie’s entire world was a muddy outdoor pen where she lived in isolation without consistent food or fresh water. Her owner worked and traveled frequently and was gone much of the time, and Sadie was largely an afterthought. Her only real escape was when kind neighbors would bring her over for playdates with their young dog. Sadie LOVED it. The two dogs would run and play together, and those playdates were her only opportunity to experience freedom, companionship, and what it felt like to simply be a dog. Her neighbors saw how much she needed a better life and advocated for her until they were able to get her into rescue. Today, Sadie is a very different dog. She is a sweet, gentle “full-figured” girl who is discovering all the comforts of home. She is a total love bug who wants to be as close to her people as possible. She follows her foster mom everywhere, happily flops over for belly rubs, and wags her big tail whenever she talks to her. Her foster mom says Sadie “does not have a mean bone in her body.” Sadie is great with other dogs and clearly enjoys having a canine companion. She and her foster sister, Solo, are very comfortable together and love exploring the backyard and chasing toys. She could live with another dog or as an only dog, although her foster mom thinks she really enjoys having a friend. Sadie is potty trained, walks well on a leash, and enjoys care rides. She takes treats and pills gently, and has adapted well to home life. New things and loud noises can make her a little nervous, but she recovers well and continues to gain confidence. She has a moderate energy level but also some extra weight (12-15lbs) to lose, likely from years of an inconsistent diet and very little opportunity for exercise. As she gets healthier and more comfortable, we expect to see more of her playful side. She already loves to get wound up playing with toys. After spending years with very little freedom, companionship, or attention, Sadie is finally getting to experience what life should have been all along. She is safe, loved, making friends, chasing toys, and learning that home is a pretty wonderful place to be. Sadie has found her groove, and this is only the beginning. Now she just needs a forever family to show her what the rest of her life can look like. Apply today! BREED ESTIMATE: Lab/Pointer Mix GENDER: Female APPROXIMATE WEIGHT: 85 lbs (should be closer to 70lbs) APPROXIMATE AGE: ~3 to 4 years old COAT TYPE:  Medium ADOPTION FEE: $425 OTHER INFO: UTD on shots/spayed/microchipped LOCATION: Ft. Mill, SC - Coming to DC metro in Oct.     FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application. You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted. Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. If you think you might be interested in becoming a foster and want to learn more, please go to https://foster.worthydog.org and fill out an application. Worthy Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue that primarily adopts to families in the DC Metro area. September 16, 2026, 7:51 pm
