Meet Grinch – A Gentle Soul Ready for His Forever Home
Grinch is a sweet, resilient 4,5 year-old, 42 lb boy with a calm spirit and a kind heart. He has a gentle, thoughtful nature and approaches the world with curiosity. Grinch truly enjoys companionship — he’s the kind of dog who bonds deeply and becomes a loyal friend for life.
Grinch was surrendered by his owner when she could no longer afford to care for him and three other dogs. It was a heartbreaking but loving decision. She brought them to our rescue partner, SOS el Arca Animal Rescue, where Grinch has received shelter, stability, and compassionate care.
Despite the uncertainty in his early life, Grinch has remained gentle, trusting, and deeply appreciative of kindness. With consistency and love, he truly blossoms.
Grinch is currently being fostered in Hillburn, New York by a young couple, where he shares his home with two dogs and two cats. He joined their pack with ease, and it didn’t take long for his wonderful personality to shine through. He is gentle, funny, affectionate, and happiest when he gets to be part of whatever his family is doing.
Grinch loves going for walks, exploring the neighborhood, and experiencing the world around him. When he’s excited, his whole body gets involved — he wiggles his hips from side to side with pure happiness! He does very well with other dogs and loves having canine friends to play with.
Grinch goes to the office with his foster parents every day, where other employees also bring their dogs. He fits right in with his four-legged coworkers, gets along wonderfully with them, and enjoys being part of the busy office environment. It’s another example of how social, adaptable, and easygoing Grinch is.
But Grinch isn’t all adventure. After a good walk or play session, he knows exactly how to relax. He loves settling in close, cuddling, and soaking up affection from his people.
Grinch would make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys walks in the park, outdoor adventures, exploring the city, and quiet cuddle time at home. He would thrive with another playful dog, but he could also be perfectly happy as the only dog, enjoying all the love and attention for himself.
Most of all, Grinch is an incredibly loving and loyal dog who simply wants to belong. Give him a chance, and you’ll gain a devoted companion — the kind of once-in-a-lifetime dog who never forgets the kindness and love shown to him
Grinch is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm tested (negative), dewormed, on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention, and crate trained.
