Spot is personality and then some. He is not only adorable, but he is also high energy, loving, and playful. Spot came to us as a stray from PG County. He is engaging, fun, and as cute as a button! Spot gets his name from the spots down his back. He is white with black spots, and he is also marked by his perky ears, his fun-loving nature, and his interest in getting attention from everyone. Spot loves people and other dogs too (we don't know about cats or children yet). He does not seem to know basic commands yet, but he iis treat motivated and will likely learn quickly. Bougie Gal!MEET PARIS! Ms. Paris likes to stay in the Hilton brand when she’s traveling because she loves the finer things in life. Ha! But seriously, she is a fun little dog who enjoys being in loving homes after having served her time in a shelter waiting to be adopted. Once ‘home’, she started being a dog. One that likes to do all the doggy things; like bark out the window, sleep on the couch, pull her owner around the block on walks, and eat all the yummy treats. Unfortunately, her new owner hadn’t had a younger dog in a while (she’s 6 years old) and didn’t account for the energy that a younger dog brings into a home. While not destructive, Paris was too much for her senior owner. Now in her Tara’s House foster home, Paris is awaiting her furever family. She is still that happy girl who has a zest for life and her energy isn’t any more than average. Her foster mom reports that she is wonderful. (There are no other dogs in the home, but Paris lived with a senior cat at her adoptive home and was fine with it.) Outside the home; she is more high-strung because she didn’t have the strong leadership that her insecurities required. She also had been living the high life a little too long and needs to shed a few pounds. She currently weighs in at 24lbs, but don’t let her know we told you! To that end, our wonderful partners at Ridgeside K9 Central MD will take Paris for their board and train program. There she will learn consistency and obedience, and will have all the foundations needed for future success. Paris’ future adopters will have a fabulously trained dog and will receive guidance on how to continue her on her learning path. Cricket is a year-old girl whose sparkling eyes and personality will quickly melt your heart. A real sweetheart who can be a bit shy at first, she’s also an energetic, spunky pup who enjoys being outside and playing with other dogs. Cricket is great with children, loves belly rubs, and is super affectionate. Between playing and walks, she will lounge in her crate or on the couch. Her ears are adorable with one ear up and one down. Also that ear has a brown patch of color. Such a cutie! She has a great demeanor and is very adorable. Cricket is housetrained, weighs a tidy 30 pounds, knows how to sit and come, and is making progress on a leash. She is both food and prey motivated, so she’ll get very excited if she spots a squirrel or deer. Cricket has lived with cats and pays not attention to them. Training is easy with Cricket since she is a foodie and sits for treats. She would love to learn more tricks and especially the treats. She will be a perfect addition to a home either by herself or with another dog.
