If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the instructions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less-than-ideal conditions so will need to be socialized, house and leash trained. Most have never lived in a house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. Most of these dogs are not socialized and need to be cornered to be picked up, so are not suitable for people with physical disabilities or suffer from PTSD. They need folks who will make them the center of their world and help them learn to trust before even attempting to train.  Please do not apply if you do not meet the requirements of the dogs we rescue.  However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. We state any known health issues, all are altered unless there is a medical reason not to, which we will advise, any known medical issues addressed, are microchipped, are UTD on all vaccines and have been checked out by at least one veterinarian, usually two. We do not guarantee the health of any of our rescued dogs. The dogs we rescue have lived with other dogs all of their lives and most get along with other dogs. We state if they are dog aggressive. We require a permanent, full-time parent. That means you must be able to spend the majority of your time with your new companion to socialize and train. We do not, under any circumstances, place them in homes with young children as they have not been exposed to children and we do not know how they will react. Hi! My name is Skeeter, and I am a beautiful Morkie baby boy who was born 1/3/23, and I weigh 3.6 pounds. I need to gain a pound or two but with love and good food, that should not be hard.  I would love to have a sibling my size to play with and learn from. NO large dogs, please and no children in my new home. If you have been waiting for a sweet Morkie puppy, please ask for me on your application to http://www.breederadoptions.org. Story
Introducing Buddy, a charming 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier in search of his forever home. Despite his challenging past, Buddy's resilient spirit shines through, and he's ready to bring joy to a loving family. This little fellow has a long-term condition called Valley Fever, which requires ongoing medication, but that doesn't dampen his spirits one bit. The valley fever has settled in his front leg which causes him to limp. We are not sure how much sure if his limp will ever improve. He doesn't seem to notice much however, and gets around absolutely fine. We feel he may have been turned out on the streets because of his health. He has had a dental cleaning, complete blood work, and is otherwise totally healthy. The cost of his medication is about $20 a month. Buddy's gentle nature and calm demeanor make him the perfect companion for someone seeking a quiet and peaceful presence. He loves nothing more than curling up beside you, offering unwavering loyalty and a warm heart. Although he may be a bit older, Buddy still possesses a youthful zest for life and is eager to explore the world at his own pace. This sweet Yorkshire Terrier has a heart full of love to give. His past experiences have made him appreciate the simple joys in life, and he'll remind you daily of the importance of cherishing each moment. Buddy's endearing personality and tender soul make him an excellent fit for a patient and caring home that understands his unique needs. Buddy will do best being an only dog. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a deserving companion, Buddy is eagerly waiting to embark on a new chapter of his life with you. Come meet this special pup and witness firsthand the unconditional love and devotion he has to offer. Adopt Buddy today and give him the second chance he truly deserves! Buddy is a coated dog (hair grows continuously) and will need professional grooming every 6-8 weeks. Buddy's adoption fee is $275. This fee includes at least one health exam at our veterinarian while in our care, altering, all vaccinations including rabies (as permitted by age), a pre-adoption professional grooming and a microchip with lifetime membership that never will cost you a fee. All dogs also leave with a new collar and or harness and leash as well as a gift bag which includes among other things, a starter bag of the quality kibble that is being fed at the rescue. Adoption fees also allow us the ability to put funds towards the next homeless or unwanted dog in need of rescue! If you would like to be considered to for this adoption or any of our amazing rescues, please fill out the application with the help of this link. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/AZST/Dog. We review each application carefully. Please understand that sometimes we get numerous applications for specific dogs and as a volunteer-based rescue, we do not always have the time to respond to each one. We do our best to choose the most suitable home for each dog based on their specific personality and needs. Please note you MAY NOT be contacted for up to 10 days to schedule a meet and greet if your family is the most suitable for this rescue dog. Regrettably, we do not have the manpower currently to contact all applicants. We keep ALL applications in our database so please feel free to contact us when you see another dog of interest. We appreciate all applicants and do our best to pair ever dog and family for a successful and happy life.
