Story
Hi y’all! 👋🏻 My name is Delilah and I am a 10 year old, 11lb Yorkie girl. I arrived to FCCR with my fellow Yorkies that were rescued from a breeder/owner. I am so happy these nice ladies could take us in. ❤️ I am a delicate little girl and a bit timid, but I am very sweet and once I get to know you and feel safe, I warm right up. 🥰 I get along with other dogs and cats and I think older kids (10 and up) will be just fine. I’m a gentle little lady and don’t want too much commotion or rabble rousing. 😆 I have discovered the soft toys 🧸 in my foster home and I LIKE ☺️ them!!! I hope you have lots of them at your house!! My foster mommy is helping me with house manners and learning to walk on a leash. I am hoping my new family will continue with my training…I want to be the best girl I can be!!! I LOVE being outside in the yard and hanging with my humans…I like it when i get carried too! 💕 If you would like to welcome me into your family, please complete an application through the website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $285

Story
Hi, I'm Raisin, a sweet 8-year-old Yorkie mix girl weighing 10 pounds. My story started with a kind stranger who found me and brought me to safety at a vet's office, where wonderful people helped me feel better. Now I'm learning what it means to be loved and cared for, though I'm still figuring it all out. I'm naturally a quiet soul – you'll never hear me bark – and I prefer peaceful, gentle environments where I can take things at my own pace. I'm doing well with my house training and I've discovered that walking on a leash isn't so scary after all. I get along beautifully with other animals, and I'm slowly learning that cuddling can actually be quite nice. One of my favorite activities is searching for lizards in the yard – I have an excellent memory for where I spotted them before! Sometimes I'll follow my foster person around the house, but I also treasure my quiet, independent moments. I'm looking for a patient, understanding family who will give me time to build trust and help me blossom into the confident little dog I know I can become. With gentle guidance and lots of love, I'm ready to discover just how wonderful life can be. Would you be willing to take this journey with me? Please fill out an application through the FCCR website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $ 300.00

Story
Hi ya, friends!! My name is Julio and I'm an 10-year-old Yorkshire Terrier, and at 8 pounds, I may be small but I have a big heart full of love to share. I've learned to be quite the little gentleman over the years. I know all about house manners – I'm completely housebroken and I always mind my p's and q's indoors. My humans say I'm super well-behaved, and I take great pride in that! My favorite thing in the whole world? Snuggling up in someone's lap. I'm a gentle soul who loves nothing more than quiet cuddle time with my favorite people. I'll follow you everywhere because I just want to be close to you – I hope you don't mind having a devoted little shadow! I'm pretty quiet most of the time, but I do get excited when I see something moving in the yard. My terrier instincts kick in and I just can't help myself – I'll chase lizards, toads, birds, ducks, and yes, cats too. Speaking of cats... well, let's just say I want to chase them so we would not make good siblings. I get along great with other dogs though and would love a canine sibling! I think I would also do ok with older human kids who understand how to be gentle with small dogs like me. When it's time for bed, I sleep like an angel all night long. I'd love nothing more than to curl up in the big bed with you – I promise I won't take up much room! I do get a little sad when my humans leave and might whimper a bit, but I wait patiently by the door and then welcome you back home with a wagging tail. I'm looking for a family who wants a loyal, sweet companion. All I want is to be someone's perfect little buddy and share all the love I have to give. Could that someone be you? If you want to find out, please complete an application through the FCCR website, www.floridacockerrescue.org. ADOPTION FEE: $300.00

Story
Hello kind folks! My name is Sonia and I am a 10 year old 9 lb yorkie girl in search of my new home and forever family. I was found wandering the streets of South Florida right before New Years Day and I can tell you I was very very scared. Thankfully the shelter director called FCCR for assistance and in a New York minute I was picked up and placed in a quiet foster home to decompress and enjoy the holidays in a peaceful and loving home. Foster mommy says I am a very sweet, loving and quiet little girl. I love being around people and other dogs but no idea on cats...quite frankly as long as they are friendly I am sure I'd like them. They just need to be nice kitties since I am a SMALL little girl and I have zero aggression in me so if they were to pick a fight I wouldn't know what to do!!!! Also, I am a little vision impaired but no worries...I can still see you and my surroundings, especially during the day! If you are interested in makng me part of your family please submit an application to www.floridacockerrescue.org ADOPTION FEE: $295

Story
Helloooo world!! I’m so happy to meet you!! My name is Joly and I am a 1 year old, 10 lb Yorkie girl! I think I’m very pretty, don’t you?! My foster mommy says I’m a smart cookie too…I come when she calls me…she asked me to teach my foster sibling, a fellow Yorkie, that too! 😂 I’m a super sweet and loving little girl. I LOVE to sit in my foster mommy’s lap and I could give her kisses all day long!!  I’m still a puppy and have lots of energy and love to play. I love to run around the house and the yard and foster mommy says I’m a leapfrog! I’m not sure what that is but I bet it’s cuuute!! I like to play with toys and sometimes I will fetch them but don’t always return them. 😉 I love to jump up and down on the furniture…I can sail right up 😆… but foster Mommy is teaching me to use steps so I don’t hurt myself. I’m good with other dogs and cats but not sure about kids, probably older dog-savvy kids. I’m a little shy at first but warm up quickly. I love to go on walks and car rides. I’m so happy to be with my humans and ready to go anywhere with them. I have good house manners now that I’m on a schedule for going outside…I’m a fast learner. I sleep all night and love to burrow in the blankets on my human’s bed. I can be a silly girl but a big sweetheart! I’m ready to start my new life!   If you are ready to welcome me into your family, please complete an application here - www.floridacockerrescue.org.  ADOPTION FEE: $425.00
