Story
Greetings, Zazu is a special guy. He was born 2/20/18. I have had him since. He's fun with a lot of personality. He enjoys/annoys other dogs. He has a distinct bark (dry, deep, hoarse, lol!) That's what makes him unique! HE'S very cuddly and a sleepy head for the most part. He's used to getting groomed, so he's aware of being touched. And of course pampered. I moved out of state in 2024. Since then he's been with my family. My family has requested I rehome him as they already have two other dogs. I cannot take him with me toy new residence, so I'm looking for someone who'd live Zazu just as much as me abd my family. He will give you the same in return.

Story
A SWEET & LOVELY GAL:  Approx. 10 years old / Approx. 20 lbs. & needs to lose some weight Hi there, I’m Suri!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control, and now I’m getting a second chance at a happy life. I needed bloodwork and a good dental cleaning when I arrived and I've had those now, thanks to a generous grant from the Grey Muzzle Organization!  I’m currently in a great foster home while I wait to find my happily ever after!  • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I met other dogs at Mostly Mutts, and I wasn’t interested in them, though I did not show any aggression, so if you have a dog that isn’t looking for a playmate, let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I met a nice boy and a girl around 10 years old at Mostly Mutts and did well with them, so a home with kids ages 10 and up could be a good fit for me.  Let’s meet! • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m described as a gentle, adorable and fluffy sweetheart who’s just had a fresh haircut. I’m a pretty easy pup — friendly and sweet, which makes hanging out with me a breeze. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, you’ll see just how sweet and loving I am.  Despite my age and weight, I currently have no issues going up and down stairs, enjoy a few shorter walks throughout the day, and the occasional chasing of a small frog in my foster’s yard.  During our walks, I sometimes do a little “reverse allergy sneeze,” which sounds like a funny snort — it’s harmless and passes quickly.  / Energy level: 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I know the ‘sit’ command and I bet you can teach me even more.  / I’m doing well in my crate at Mostly Mutts and am doing well in my foster home at night as well as when my foster is away (a little treat to get me in there is always appreciated). / I only had a few accidents on the shelter schedule and am doing well in my foster home, so hopefully that will translate to doing well in my new home, too – of course there may be an adjustment period, and I do like to drink a lot of water. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I enjoy spending time with the nice volunteers and make a great front desk assistant / greeter to the friendly people coming to visit the shelter.  I just really enjoy people and being petted.  In my foster home, I am pretty chill and don’t care to play much – I just want to hang with the people.  I do enjoy a peanut butter Kong and other healthy weight-loss friendly treats (which I frequently beg my foster for).  Naps are great and I look forward to my average 8-9 hours of sleep each night, from around 10pm to 7am.  I cuddle with my foster on the couch, but need some help getting up there.  I’m sure we’ll discover lots of other things we will like doing together. / I don’t seem to love being outside – just take me to the bathroom and I’m ready to come back inside. I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed.  I came in with some fur loss and not sure if I’ll grow that fur back, but I don’t mind and I hope you won’t either.  I had 1 tooth pulled during my dental cleaning and my mouth is feeling fresh again.  I’ve been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease and I’m on a medication called Vetoryl that I’ll need to stay on for life.  I also had 2 small cysts removed from my belly.  I also take an over-the-counter joint supplement called Cosequin which is good for all older doggies.  I’m trying some allergy medication, so just ask about that.   I’m so thankful that I was rescued and that I’ve gotten the much-needed vet care and love from all the nice folks at Mostly Mutts, and now I can’t wait to find my new family that will continue that love and good care.  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  August 28, 2025, 11:48 am

Story
Senior sweetie Gidget is looking for a family to live out her golden years with. BASICS: – Female – 13 years old – 8 pounds – Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, recent bloodwork, recent dental – Dog friendly – Mostly potty trained, pad trained in lieu – Couch potato with little bursts of spunk PERSONALITY: Gidget is an adorable little sweetheart! She loves belly rubs & she loves her toys. She would be happiest with an adopter she could snuggle up with at night. And provide her with plenty of soft comfort bedding during the day. And toys... ALL the toys. Gidget can be shy and timid at first, but warms up quickly. ENERGY: Her energy level is mostly Couch Potato with little bursts of energy - for food, treats, toys & playtime, etc. She's 13 but still has a nice amount of spunk. She does the cutest little "happy dance" when she's anticipating her food. DOGS: She is dog friendly with other seniors and might even play with the right companion. She appreciates her own space though and will make her displeasure known should anyone cross her invisible boundaries. (typical senior dog behavior) POTTY: She is "mostly" house trained, though she will not tell you when she needs out. So potty pads are a must. She'll use the potty pads but might not always hit her mark. (even if you add extra potty pads) I would suggest placing potty pads over any carpet you'd like to keep safe, as she doesn't always make the distinction between the two. CRATE: She is crate trained but can have her moments. She would do best in a home that didn't require her to be crated 8 plus hours a day though. (she might be safe to leave out, eventually, or maybe in her own room when no one is home - she doesn't get into anything, unless food is involved) CAR: She quietly rides in a travel crate. MEDICAL: Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped. Recent bloodwork done (nothing concerning). Recent dental done (cleaned and 8 teeth removed). A few typical senior type things, e.g. some arthritis and dry eye, but no major medical issues known. Mammary tumors were noted when she was recently spayed, but doctor believes they may decrease in size or remain stable in size as her estrogen levels drop (due to finally being spayed). LOCATION: In foster in Dallas, GA. AVAILABILITY: Available for adoption or foster-to-adopt (FTA). FTA is a two week, commitment free and pressure free, trial run to make sure things are a match before sealing the deal.
