Story
We are rehoming our male Yorkie. CKC registered. He just turned 3 years old. He is a high energy dog that needs a lot of exercise. Jack is very vocal and talks to you when he wants something. He does not like to be put into a crate and does not like to be alone. He does sleep between us in bed at night. He prefers not to get his feet wet so it takes a little extra effort to get him outside to potty on a rainy day. We are looking for someone who will love and care for him properly to include vet care. He has been neutered. We’ve had some lifestyle changes to include changes in our health.

Story
Introducing Kirby - a sweet, funny, and incredibly playful little guy who is ready to find his forever family! At around 2 years of age, Kirby is bursting with love and energy, always ready for a game or a walk by your side. He is crate trained and thrives on learning new things. If you provide him with the structure he's familiar with and continue his training, Kirby will blossom into an even more amazing companion. Kirby is not a reactive dog, but due to his energetic and sensitive personality, we believe he would truly shine in a home where he can be the center of attention. A family that can give him the time and focus he craves would be ideal. As part of the Ozzie Albies Foundation and Mirror Image K9's Best Chance Program, we are fully committed to the success and happiness of Kirby and all our dogs. Our goal is to place them in the best possible families. To begin the adoption process, please complete our adoption application. We prioritize applications received through our official channels and will reach out to suitable candidates for further discussion. PLEASE COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION FIRST. WE DO NOT RESPOND TO ONLINE INQUIRIES - ONLY ADOPTION APPLICANTS: https://form.jotform.com/220094430051138 Introducing the Adorable and Unique Geovanni - The Perfect Companion for a Loving Home! 🐾💖 Geovanni is a 3-year-old pup who weighs just 6 pounds, making him truly one of a kind! With his sweet and medium energy, he is sure to bring joy and love to his forever family. Geovanni would do best in a home without other dogs, as he prefers to be the sole furry companion. He may still be getting the hang of potty training, so patience and consistent practice will be needed to help him become fully house-trained. However, he walks great on a leash, making him a fantastic companion for outdoor adventures and explorations. In terms of behavior, Geovanni experiences stress when strangers enter his space, particularly in the home. This issue can be managed with proper training and socialization, and he does well with people he gets to know. Geovanni is overall a well-behaved dog, as he doesn't get into things and is comfortable being indoors. Geovanni is crate trained, and it's important that his new home continues to provide a crate for him. This will give him a safe and secure sanctuary that he can retreat to whenever needed. Potential adopters will have the opportunity to complete a training session to learn more about the specific skills Geovanni needs to reach his full potential. This will not only benefit Geovanni but also provide adopters with valuable insights on how to support him in becoming the best version of himself. To learn more about the Best Chance Rescue program and the wonderful work they do, visit [www.ozziealbiesfoundation.org](http://www.ozziealbiesfoundation.org). Additionally, listening to the "Think Like a Dog Podcast" on Spotify and Apple Podcasts can provide even more helpful information on adding a new furry member to your family. If Geovanni has captured your heart and you're ready to provide him with the loving home he deserves, please complete our adoption application. Let's give Geovanni the forever family he's been waiting for, where he can thrive and be showered with love and care!

Story
LOOKING FOR MY PERSON:  Approx. 12 years old / Approx. 13 lbs.  Hi, my name is Bessie!  I lived with my family my entire life, but their living situation changed, and they are relocating to a home where pets are not allowed.  That makes me sad, but I am so grateful that Mostly Mutts will work to help me find a new home.  I am in a wonderful foster home while I wait for my furever family to find me! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I did not like the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so no dogs please. I tolerated a dog in one temp. foster home, but another temp. foster said I barked at dogs that entered the same room as me as well as those I passed on my walks, so I do not want to live with them. / My former family reported that I did not like cats and Mostly Mutts agrees. / I excitedly went after ankles of kids I met in a foster home and since I have bitten, best no kids.      • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a playful girl who likes toys and sometimes acts younger than my age.  I’m called a spry girl and had a blast playing with the volunteer photographer!  I’m a sweet girl who accepts affection most of the time, though I have guarding behaviors when it comes to things like my bed, treats and people.  Once I find my person, I don’t really want to share them too much. This can be a trainable situation and my trainer will be happy to talk to you.  I can be a bit temperamental and once bit my former foster mom, though I did have a urinary tract infection, so that may have had a bit to do with it. My former owner did not report any bites.  My foster said I like new people to go slow as I get to know them so, please be patient with me as I adjust to my new home and any new people I meet.  It just took a few days for me to feel comfortable with a temp. foster when my regular foster was away.  She even called me a ‘real love bug.’  Once I am settled, I am sure to show you how sweet I can be!  / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I have already learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also walk well on a leash.  My trainer at the shelter is great with the little dogs with big personalities, so ask to talk to her when setting up a meeting with me.  My former family reported that I also knew the word ‘no’ and ‘good job’ for praising me. In my former foster home, I knew the words ‘outside’ for going out, and ‘up’, for going up stairs and that I could ‘sit’ when I choose to – lol. / My crate manners were good in my former home and are good at Mostly Mutts, and it’s best that I sleep in a crate at night instead of the bed with you, as that is a time that I bit my person. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, and in my foster home.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks and playing fetch.  It was fun playing in the fall leaves too. I enjoy having my cheeks and the top of my head rubbed as well as cuddles and scratches on my back.  Playing with toys is also fun and I enjoy hanging out with my person.  I do seem to prefer women to men. / I don’t like to be picked up, so let me come to you, please.  I’m also not a fan of having my paws, tummy or rear end rubbed.  I don’t care for some men or people going too fast as I get to know them.  I don’t like dogs coming too close and alert bark at animals I see outside.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, training, and attention. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a congenital dropped carpus on both front legs and luxating patella on the left, but my foster didn’t even notice as I can jump and don’t have pain.  I also have a mild heart murmur that does not require any treatment currently. I’m on an inexpensive over-the-counter joint supplement which is good for all older dogs.    I am looking for a loving home for life with a dog experienced person!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  December 10, 2023, 10:49 am

Story
Vanessa is an older gal who is very sweet and relaxed.  Due to her mild hearing and vision deficits she startles easily so we make every effort not to sneak up on her.  Vet estimates her to be about 12 years old. She has a mild heart murmur but does not require any medication or treatment for it. Although up in age she still surprises us...  she moves at her own pace but hops up the front steps like a spring fawn and can follow her human around the house for hours. She doesn't rest until you rest.  Vanessa gets along well with big dogs and small dogs, almost as if she has no idea how tiny she is. She would love a new home, with someone who leads a quiet lifestyle and would enjoy her companionship.  Apply online at buttsmutts.com if you'd like to adopt and give a senior dog a loving home.   ##1883663##
