Story
Westley is a 1 year old, 9 lb love bug. He is a super snuggler who loves to be right by your side. He does well with other dogs and enjoys running around the fenced in yard playing with his foster dog sibling. He is very loyal to his humans and enjoys following them around. He is easy going, crate-trained, and has been pretty good with potty training in his foster home (but not 100%). We would love for him to find a home with another smaller dog to play with and a fenced in yard. He is not suited for an apartment. To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $450, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and heartworm testing.

Story
LOOKING FOR MY PERSON:  Approx. 12 years old / Approx. 13 lbs.  Hi, my name is Bessie!  I lived with my family my entire life, but their living situation changed, and they are relocating to a home where pets are not allowed.  That makes me sad, but I am so grateful that Mostly Mutts will work to help me find a new home. • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I did not like the dogs I met at Mostly Mutts, so no dogs please. I tolerated a dog in one temp. foster home, but another temp. foster said I barked at dogs that entered the same room as me as well as those I passed on my walks, so I do not want to live with them.  / My former family reported that I did not like cats.  / I excitedly went after ankles of kids I met in a foster home and since I have bitten, best no kids.        • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a playful girl who likes toys and sometimes acts younger than my age.  I’m called a spry girl and had a blast playing with the volunteer photographer!  I’m a sweet girl who accepts affection most of the time, though I have guarding behaviors when it comes to things like my bed, treats and people.  Once I find my person, I don’t really want to share them too much. This can be a trainable situation and my trainer will be happy to talk to you.  I can be a bit temperamental and will sometimes growl or nip for no apparent reason, even with my person. I did have a urinary tract infection, so that may have had a bit to do with it, but I’m just not sure.  My former owner did not report any bites.  My temp. foster said I like new people to go slow as I get to know them so please be patient with me as I adjust to my new home and any new people I meet.  Once I am settled, I am sure to show you how sweet I can be!  / My energy level is 4-6. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am a member of the Mostly Mutts University training program. I have already learned the ‘sit’, ‘come’, ‘leave it’ and ‘place’ commands.  I also walk well on a leash.  My trainer is great with the little dogs with big personalities, so ask to talk to her when setting up a meeting with me.  My former family reported that I knew the word ‘no’, and the words ‘tee-tee and boo-boo’ for going potty.  Also, ‘good job’ for praising me. In my former foster home, I knew the words ‘outside’ for going out, and ‘up’, for going up stairs and that I could ‘sit’ when I choose to – lol. / My crate manners were good in my former home and are good at Mostly Mutts, and it’s best that I sleep in a crate at night instead of the bed with you, as that is a time that I bit my person. / My potty habits have been good on the shelter schedule, and my former family said that I was potty trained. I also had good potty manners in my temp. foster home.   • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love going for walks and playing fetch.  I enjoy having my cheeks and the top of my head rubbed as well as cuddles and scratches.  Playing with toys is also fun and I enjoy hanging out with my person.  I do seem to prefer women to men. / I don’t like to be picked up, so let me come to you, please.  I’m also not a fan of having my tummy or rear end rubbed.  I don’t care for some men or people going too fast as I get to know them.  I don’t like dogs coming too close and alert bark at animals I see outside.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, training and attention. • MEDICAL:   I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I have a congenital dropped carpus on both front legs and luxating patella on the left, but my foster didn’t even notice as I can jump and don’t have pain.  I also have a mild heart murmur that does not require any treatment currently. I’m on an inexpensive over the counter joint supplement which is good for all older dogs.   I am looking for a loving home for life!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  September 30, 2023, 7:20 am

Story
A CUTE AND FRIENDLY GIRL:  Approx. 5 years old. / Approx. 9 lbs.  Hi, my name is Rayna!  I had a home, but my owner was not able to give me the life all doggies deserve.  Thankfully, Mutts had a spot for me, so I am now looking for a new family to love and be loved by. I visited one foster home for 4 days and now I’m in another one having fun and just waiting to meet my furever family! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  My former owner reported that I liked all the dogs I met while with them, so if you have a dog at home already, let’s meet!/ Cats unknown. / I spent time around kids in my previous home, and reportedly liked them, though I can’t remember their ages.  So if you have kids let’s meet and best no toddlers that my fall on me.   • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I’m a super sweet and cuddly girl who is pretty playful yet calm at times too.  I am a lap dog who wants to be where the people are, but not in a needy way.  The MM photographer described me as ‘an adorable little ball of energy and cuteness’ during my photo session.  I bet you will agree!  Smart and alert, I think I have the potential to learn new things quickly.  My energy comes in spurts, then I am ready to chill with my people.  I am sure to add lots of joy to my new home.  / My energy level is 5-7 with bursts of higher energy. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  My previous owner reported that I knew a few commands (‘sit’, ‘come’ and ‘lay down’), I respond to the ‘no’ command, as well.  My nature is that of a bright girl, so I bet you can teach me even more things. / My crate manners were good in my first foster home, (I just arrived at my 2nd foster home so stay tuned) as well as my previous home.  I go into my crate willingly and sleep there through the night. / My potty habits were good in my first foster home so hopefully that will be the case in my new home too, my former owner said I wasn’t quite potty trained, but maybe I just needed to go out a bit more often.       • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love the company of people and enjoy being in laps or near them.  If not chilling with the family, I enjoy retrieving toys.  I am fine with being picked up and carried, too.  / I don’t like the traffic around the shelter, as it startles me on my walks.  Perhaps we can find a less busy place to share our walks together.  Otherwise, I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and spayed. I am looking for a great home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  September 30, 2023, 7:20 am

Story
Meet Bristol! Bristol is a 2 yr old, 9 lb Yorkie mix who was left behind at a chicken farm in north Georgia. Her family had been employed on the farm and did not take her with them when they moved on. We were told by the owner of the farm that poor Bristol had never been outside or around other people or animals, so understandably she was quite out of sorts when she arrived at her foster home. She has come so so far though and we couldn't be more proud! She's a sweet little girl who loves to sit on her foster mom's lap and gives kisses now! She's also been great with all of the other dogs and cats in the home.   Bristol is still a bit wary of strangers and new situations, so she will need a patient adopter willing to give her some time to warm up and get comfortable. Nothing helps a shy, timid dog as much as another dog - so Bristol will definitely need a more confident dog in her forever home. She will also need a home without children - Interested in giving this sweet girl a second chance at the amazing life she so deserves?? Story
Hi, I'm Frannie! Some very nice people found me running alone in the woods and rescued me from a hard life. The vet thinks I'm around 13 years old. I was very matted and had a bad eye infection on arrival to the rescue, but am doing so much better now after seeing the vet. While the vet doesn't think I'm fully blind, my eyes are definitely showing my age and I may have some vision issues. Now that I am feeling better, I love sitting in laps and playing with my friends.
