After spending a few months at the Anti-Cruelty Society , I’ve recently found my way to Project Hope .    I’m a senior Yorkshire Terrier who’s not asking for much… just a kind person to hang out with and love. From Wilburt’s foster: Wilburt is starting to settle in and show us just how special he is. This little guy loves to cuddle and be close to his people. He’s happiest when he’s near you, soaking up the comfort of companionship. He’s getting to know our dogs and is a bit timid, so he may do best with a calm, older dog who won’t overwhelm him. Wilburt may not have many teeth, but don’t worry — that doesn’t slow him down at mealtime one bit! &#239&#184&#143 Wilbur is potty trained and will happily go outside when he follows the lead of the other dogs. He’s always excited when you come home, greeting you like you’re the best part of his day — because you are. If you’re looking for a sweet, low-key companion who just wants love, warmth, and a soft place to rest, Wilburt is your guy. AVAILABLE SOON! I haven’t arrived at the adoption center just yet - I’m getting ready for adoption! Please fill out an adoption application if you’d like to meet me once I’m available. I'm 11 lbs., and I am looking for my forever home. Adoption Donation: $550 All dogs are microchipped, neutered, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested (if age appropriate), and up-to-date on preventatives at the time of adoption. All household members and any dogs from the household need to be present to be able to adopt. A photo ID will be required at the time of adoption. Appointments are recommended. All applications are considered general. Specific animals are NOT put on hold for adoption. When you visit, our adoption counselors will be able to make suggestions based on the type of pet you are looking for and help you find the best fit for your family. Animal House Shelter cannot guarantee the breeds of the adoptable animals. The animals are posted on the website as the breed or breed mix based on their physical characteristics they most resemble. She can be a bit of a gremlin when meeting new people — no direct eye contact or reaching for her until she’s decided you’re worthy. Once you’re in her inner circle, expect the best wiggly-butt greeting when you come home, sweet kisses, snuggles, and moments that will make you laugh out loud. She adores playing with other dogs, going for walks, and having canine companions around is definitely a bonus.
