Story
Buddy is a 1-2 year old neutered male Yorkie/chihuahua mix, weighing about 12 lbs! He is a shy, sweet boy who is nervous at first with new people/situations and will take some time to decompress. He needs someone who will be patient with him and understand that he just needs a little time to feel safe.   Buddy is housebroken, pad trained, and crate trained. He is good with other dogs his size (unsure about larger dogs as he’s not been around them). He seemed ok with/uninterested in the cat at the vet, so we believe he would do ok with cats. We suggest older kids 10+ who know to respect a dog's space (due to his shyness). Buddy is a 100% good doggo who cannot wait to meet his furever family! Could it be you?!  Buddy will be arriving in CT on 4/20/24 for adoption!  ##2010867##

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Mr. Bootsy is a great little companion dog that was found wondering the streets of San Antonio, Tx and he had been hit by a car, he was limping along.  After taking him to the vet, it was discovered that the car injury was an old break and could not be repaired.  I made the choice not to amputate the dangling leg because it does not get in his way or cause any problems or require any special care on a daily basis. Booty was microchipped and I spoke with the original owner who gave him to someone else who just did not want any dogs and set him free on the streets, pitiful but San Antonio resident pet owners are known for that.  Bootsy would love to have a forever loving home where he can get love and he has plenty of love to give back. He gets along with all of the foster dogs in my home and plays well with everyone.  He is completely potty/house and crate trained.  Bootsy is just a good boy.  He is 6 years old and weighs 10 pounds and has reached his adult weight and will not grow anymore.  He walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick. If you are in San Antonio, TX or surrounding areas you are welcome to meet him anytime.  We market our pets across the United States and transport them to most areas every 2 weeks once adopted. If you are interested in adopting Bootsy please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         April 16, 2024, 2:34 pm

PRISSY & CHARLIE – YORKIES - TO BE ADOPTED TOGETHER - Email fogcarescue@gmail.com for more info and/or an application. These two little ones, Prissy and Charlie, are simply precious…both are sweet, happy, loveable and very good natured. They love being around people and really enjoy any personal attention that they wish to lavish them with. Although they came from an adult home, they are good with older kids…they are also good with other dogs. Both of them are pretty spunky and active…Prissy may be a little more so than Charlie. They both love their outside play time/potty time. Prissy is so funny, she especially loves to run around hunting for little varmints to chase after. They both think they are much bigger than they actually are…they’ll run out to the kennels and bark at the much bigger dogs and scratch off like they’re really tough lol. Due to cataracts starting up, Charlie can see but his sight isn’t great. He gets around pretty well though & it won’t take him long at all to familiarize himself with his new home. Once he does he will be able to navigate a lot better. Prissy and Charlie are siblings but are about 1 ½ years apart and they have always been together, so we want them to be adopted together. They have been very well cared for and have received everything that they need to keep them in the best of health and happy. They are used to sleeping in their crate, both are house and crate trained and have the run of the house when their Mom is home. The lady that owned them decided that she wanted to travel and thought it was unfair to leave them at home alone or board them, so she asked us to find them a great new home. She just wants them to be the center of attention and loved as much as she loves them. Prissy is 9 years and Charlie is 8 years old and they both weigh about 7 – 7 ½ pounds. They have been spayed/neutered, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested, are current on all vaccinations, worming, heartworm and flea prevention. Their adoption fee is $600 for the two of them & that includes transport to our pickup stops in MD, PA, NY & CT. They are being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted they will be transported to their pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and their fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.
