Story
*Name: Coco *Age: 12 years old *Current Weight: 17 lbs *Adoption fee: $300 Coco is a lovable 12-year-old Yorkie mix originally rescued from Texas. Don’t let his age fool you – Coco is full of energy and lives for adventure! He’s house-trained and does well on a leash, but his favorite thing in the world is running freely and exploring off-leash. He especially enjoys long hikes through the woods, where he can show off his youthful spirit. Coco’s playful side shines through when he’s chasing plush squeaky toys (though the squeaker doesn’t stand a chance!) or playing fetch. Belly rubs are his ultimate weakness – he will soak up every ounce of affection you have to give. With easy-to-maintain, non-shedding hair, Coco is a dream for grooming and is well-behaved during vet and groomer visits. He’s spent the last five years happily living with kids aged 8-13 and currently resides peacefully with another small dog. Coco is ready to be your forever companion. Apply today and let him fill your home with joy! To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2306241##

Story
Hi, I’m Pedro—a tiny little guy with a big heart, just 2 years old and weighing in at a mighty 3.5 pounds! I’m a Yorkie/Chihuahua mix, which basically means I’m double the cuteness in half the size. I’m a quiet soul who loves nothing more than being held close, wrapped up in love and warmth. If you’ve got a cozy lap or a soft blanket, I’ll be your shadow in no time. I might be small, but I’ve got all the charm in the world—especially when I do that little Chihuahua shake that makes everyone smile. It’s just my way of saying I feel all the feels! I’m sweet, gentle, and never ask for much—just a caring home where I can feel safe and loved. If you’re looking for a loving little sidekick to carry in your arms, tuck in your sweater, or keep you company on the couch, I’m your guy! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
This adorable boy is Sammy. He is a 2-year-old yorkie (or some sort of terrier) mix and weighs 19 lb. Sammy is a sweet, sensitive guy looking for his forever home! Sammy may seem little, but he has lots of kisses to give! Sammy takes a little bit to warm up to his environment, but remember, it's a big world for this little guy. Once he warms up, he is a pile of love! He shows great interest in toys and has a healthy curiosity of other dogs in the yard. Sammy may do well with a dog to show him the ropes and help him gain confidence, and calmer, older children who will give him the chance he deserves. We don't know what Sammy thinks of cats but can cat-test him if needed. Sammy is microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. He is scheduled to be neutered. His adoption fee is $400. If you would like to meet/adopt Sammy, please complete our online application at https://daws.org/daws-forms or stop by our shelter Wednesday-Sunday between 12 and 6 PM. The DAWS shelter address is 147 Grassy Plain St. Bethel. Email daws@daws.org if you need assistance or have any questions. Sammy can't wait to meet you!

Story
Lulu Belle is a sweet, calm 2–3-year-old 7Lb Yorkie looking for a quiet, loving home. She may need a little time to warm up in a new environment, but once she feels safe, she becomes your loyal shadow, always wanting to be near her person. Lulu Belle is easygoing and happiest when she can simply be by your side, whether you’re working from home or relaxing on the couch. She would do best in a quieter home and would be fine with or without another gentle dog, but what she truly wants is a person to love. If you’re looking for a devoted, gentle companion who will bring warmth and quiet joy to your days, Lulu Belle is ready to find her forever family and give them her whole heart.

Story
Meet Loveable Loki! Loki is a 7-year-old yorkie mix who weighs 15 lbs. This super handsome gray and white boy has fur as soft and luxurious as silk. Best of all, Loki's soft fur does not shed, so you can keep wearing your black clothes! Loki was surrendered to Critter Cavalry because his owner could no longer afford to care for him after moving from Florida to Tennessee. Unfortunately, Loki developed allergies and needed daily medication. Since joining Critter Cavalry, he has seen a dermatologist, and it turns out he does have allergies. Thankfully, these are now well-managed with quality food, one pill, and regular grooming. His last grooming appointment showed no signs of allergies at all, and a change of location from Tennessee should also help. You won’t find a more lovable companion than Loki. He greets everyone with enthusiasm and will happily leap into the lap of anyone sitting down. He simply wants to be near you, whether on the couch or in your chair. Make sure there’s always room for him at night, as he’ll snuggle up close before you know it. Loki also adores the company of other small dogs and thrives in a home with multiple pets; he definitely is not a lone ranger! He is housebroken and can be left loose in the house. While he isn’t a fan of car rides, he loves going for walks and happily trots ahead of you down the street. Loki thrives on routine and organization, making him an excellent companion for a middle-aged couple with one or two other dogs. Although he hasn’t been around children, he should do well with kids over 8 who understand how to treat pets properly. Loki is neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccinations, and microchipped. If you would like to be considered for Loki's forever family and request an adoption application, please contact Vivienne at vivienneajames@gmail.com. Note that an approved application and adoption fee are required.June 7, 2025, 12:30 pm
