Story
Alfredo is a high energy terrier mix. He's very friendly and loves to play. He has a kitty friend (Fettucini) and they really enjoy playing together and running around so it would be nice if they could find a home together. Alfie would be best in an experienced dog home to help him with a routine. You can check out Fettucini on our kitty page.

Story
*Name: Lou *Age: approx 5 years old *Current Weight: 14 lbs *Adoption fee: $475 (plus $150 spay/neuter deposit, see below for more information) Introducing Lou: a resilient 5-year-old who's captured our hearts after being rescued from a challenging hoarding situation. Lou's journey has taught her the value of companionship, and she thrives best with another dog by her side. She's a social butterfly who loves to play and bond with her furry friends. A fenced-in yard would be ideal for Lou, as she enjoys exploring and having space to roam and play freely. We're seeking patient adopters who understand that Lou may need some time to adjust to her new surroundings. She's incredibly sweet-natured and eager to please, but she may need some extra patience and guidance as she settles into her forever home. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a loving companion like Lou, please consider giving her the chance she deserves. Together, we can give Lou the happily-ever-after she's been dreaming of. IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2015977##

Story
Meet the beautiful Poppy! This sweet girl is a 2 year old female Yorkie, Australian Terrier mix. She is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything she meets. She loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. She still has lots of energy and she loves to romp and play. She never turns down a good belly rub. Even though she is considered an adult, she still has lots of puppy energy! She loves to play ball and to run around the yard. She would make a great addition to a family with an active lifestyle! She is currently located down South at our sister shelters and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. She can't wait to find her forever home!

Story
Hello, wonderful people! My name is Reuben, and I'm on a mission to find my paw-fect forever home. At 13 years young Yorkie and weighing about 19 pounds, I may be small in size, but my heart is overflowing with love and affection. Despite my age and the cataracts, I'm still full of love and charm, ready to bring joy into the lives of those around me. You see, I haven't had the easiest journey. I was found as a stray, wandering the streets alone. But now, thanks to the kindness of some compassionate souls, I'm searching for a loving family to call my own. I get along famously with other dogs, making me the perfect companion for furry siblings. With your patience and understanding, I know I can thrive in a home filled with warmth and affection. So, if you're ready to open your heart to a sweet senior like me, fill out an adoption application today! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
We have a wide range of sizes, breeds, and personalities who have been waiting for a long time to find homes in which to live out their lives. All have been vet-checked, spayed/neutered and updated on shots. Some are in great health and hopefully will have many years to enjoy with their new owners... others are being treated for some medical issues and need some extra care to keep them happy and comfortable for whatever time they have left. We do not have a shelter- all our pets are in foster homes and can be seen by appointment only during the week, or at our weekly pet adoptions every Sunday at the Animal Clinic of Morris Plains from 12:30 to 3PM at 3009 Route 10 East next to 5 Star Car Wash (formerly Boulder Car Wash) in Morris Plains (Denville on GPS). To help us better match a pet to your household, we request you fill out an application on our homepage www.secondchance.petfinder.com and copy and paste it into an email, or print it and bring it to our adoption day when you come. Local inquiries only please- we do not do long distance adoptions. Can't adopt but still want to help this dog? Click on the "Sponsor Me" button at the top of this page to donate toward his/her care! All donations are tax-deductible and go directly toward the care of our rescue dogs. Thank you for your support!
