Story
*Name: Coco *Age: 12 years old *Current Weight: 17 lbs *Adoption fee: $300 Coco is a lovable 12-year-old Yorkie mix originally rescued from Texas. Don’t let his age fool you – Coco is full of energy and lives for adventure! He’s house-trained and does well on a leash, but his favorite thing in the world is running freely and exploring off-leash. He especially enjoys long hikes through the woods, where he can show off his youthful spirit. Coco’s playful side shines through when he’s chasing plush squeaky toys (though the squeaker doesn’t stand a chance!) or playing fetch. Belly rubs are his ultimate weakness – he will soak up every ounce of affection you have to give. With easy-to-maintain, non-shedding hair, Coco is a dream for grooming and is well-behaved during vet and groomer visits. He’s spent the last five years happily living with kids aged 8-13 and currently resides peacefully with another small dog. Coco is ready to be your forever companion. Apply today and let him fill your home with joy! To apply to adopt, fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/ PLEASE CLICK HERE FOR FAQs  ##2306241##

Story
Hi, I’m Farfel — a 1-year-old tiny Yorkie, and I mean tiny tiny… just about 3 pounds. I came from a backyard breeder situation, so my start in life wasn’t exactly what it should have been. But now I’m safe, and I’m learning that the world can be warm, gentle, and full of love — especially when there’s a lap involved. Despite my size, I have a big heart and a very sweet nature. I absolutely love to snuggle, and feel most comfortable when I’m close to my person. Being held, tucked into blankets, or curled up next to you is my favorite place to be. I’m still young and discovering what it means to just be a happy little dog. I’m looking for a forever home that understands how delicate I am — someone who will protect me, cherish me, and treat me like the precious little soul I am. If you’ve ever dreamed of a tiny shadow who wants nothing more than to be loved and held, I’m ready! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.

Story
Hello hello! I’m Harry — a 1-year-old Yorkie weighing just about 5 pounds, and I’m the bold guy of the bunch. I was rescued from a backyard breeding situation along with some other Yorkies. People say I’m the most confident of my little crew, always ready to say hello and see what fun is happening next. I’ve got a big personality packed into a tiny body. Everyone calls me a cutie patootie, and honestly… they’re not wrong. I’m ready for a forever home where I can keep being my happy, outgoing self and soak up all the love I missed out on early in life. If you’re looking for a tiny dog with a confident strut, a sweet heart, and endless charm, I think we’re going to be very good friends. Story
DOB 4-24-2025 Izzie is looking for a Mom! She is a baby that likes to stay close, a 24 hour girl. Izzie is social, loves to play, gets along great with others and wants to be an important part of her future home. She will be between 7 and 8 pounds, has a natural tail and gorgeous ears with a cute little face. She is very smart and focused. She is up to date on all medical, spayed, heartworm negative and has received a ProHeart6 heartworm preventative infection. Her adoption fee is 900.00 and her transport fee is 165.00. Our transport is HEARTS LLC they leave every other Friday to deliver their stops on Saturday to the East Coast. The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers. After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home. Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.

Story
Milo is an adorable 8-month-old tripod with a huge love for life. He came to us after being hit by a car, but you’d truly never know he has three legs—this is no disability for him! He plays nonstop with his foster dog friends, does zoomies, and jumps on and off the couch with ease. Milo is wee-wee pad trained and learning to go outside at his own pace. He loves everyone he meets—people, dogs, and kids alike. He adores toys, loves his food, and is always up for fun. Milo thrives with other dogs and loves to cuddle and play, so his ideal home would have another friendly dog. He sleeps as close to his foster mom as possible and is very affectionate. Due to separation anxiety, Milo will need a home (no apartments) where someone is home often or willing to continue working with him. Milo is a joyful, resilient little guy who will make a loving and devoted companion
