Story
Meet Sage, a sweet 5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hey everybody, it's February. Foster mommy tells me there's a sweet holiday in this month and I can't wait to learn about it. She calls it Valentine's Day and that there's a Cupid guy flying around with a bow and arrow matching pups like me and people like you together fur furever. I am ready for you to find me and my heart and take us home with you. Since my last update, I have gotten really, really brave. I've learned how to navigate the whole house so I am feeling more and more comfortable here even if it took a while. My new thing is I'm going into the living room where foster mommy and the rest of the pups hang out and I'm wanting to hang out and nap with them. I let Foster mommy know when I want to get on or off the couch by putting my paws on her. Sometimes I even try and become a lapdog and try and sloth my way on her lap while she's answering emails and stuff so I'm learning how to share my love with my foster mommy now. The other day when we were all outside doing yardwork, I walked for the first time all the way around the covered pool two times. It was such a beautiful day outside. I decided to take to just chill on the sidewalk. So I'm getting braver and braver outside too. I don't know about that grass stuff tho but I guess with time I'll learn how to walk on that too. In December, I had my yearly check up. Everything looked good. So I'm good to go for another year. I do have to go see my eye doctor this month so she can check my eyes. I have to go twice a year. I don't need eye drops , but we want to make sure I'm not getting dry eye. But as you can see in my pictures I have the most beautiful eyes. So that's about what's new with me. If you have any questions you can reach out to Foster mommy At stickhors@gmail.com If you have any extra dollars in your wallet or purse, could you think about donating o United Yorkie Rescue. Your donations to them is what has helped me with all of my medical bills. Thank you so much, Sage

Story
Meet Kee, a handsome 3 year old, 15 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas residents will be considered. Hey, did you hear? It's February and Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I sure would love to steal your heart and become your furever best friend. I know I would pawsitively fall in love with you. So I closed out 2024 with a visit to my dogter to get my yearly check up. Everything looked great except the dogter found a very small umbilical hernia. We got that removed and I healed up very nicely. Not much changed since my last update other than I'm wanting lots more pets and loving foster mommy and daddy. I still love playing with all the other kids when I want to. If you happen to have to go run errands and you come back home I will be right at the door waiting for you with a toy because I want to show you how much I missed you and love you. Plus, I've stopped howling. I'd love to sleep next to you if you'd let me. So if you want a great looking happy go lucky guy that will fit right in please think about stealing my heart and being me home. You can reach my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com with any questions. She'll answer as quick as she can.

Story
Meet Teddy Bear, a 1 year old, 4 pound Chorkie (Yorkie Chi mix) who is being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Anybody ready for a little 5 pound cutie patootie to come steal your heart away? Well here I am and I'm ready to meet you. I have turned into a Velcro pup this past month with Foster mommy. I also think I am the alpha dog here and everybody's bigger than me. I love to snuggle with mommy during my naps and at bedtime and if I can't snuggle with her, I wanna be under a blanket especially at night. When I see one of my buddies with a toy, my mission is to steal the toy away from them. I am usually very successful at doing this but they trick me and go and get another toy so we gotta do this game all over again. Sometimes we play tug-of-war before that happens but I always win and I get the toy. I love playing tug-of-war with foster mommy and I always win when I play with her. Being a tripod hasn't stopped me one bit. I can run just as fast as any of the other dogs here when we play chase outside. I don't jump off of beds or couches nor have I learned to use ramps or stairs yet but foster mom is working on that. My potty training is going great. I'm learning how to go to the door and give mom the evil stare to let her know I gotta go outside. I like exploring the backyard so if you have a nice fenced in backyard that would be pawsome BUT NO CHAINLINK FENCES. It may take me a while to warm up to you. When I do, you will know it. I get really excited at supper time cuz there's good eats here. My bowl is always clean and I always make sure the other doggie bowls are clean too. I've liked all the dog treats I get here, but my favorite one is the freeze dried liver ones. My only bad habit that Foster mommy has noticed is I like to chew a hole in a stuffed toy and take all the stuffing out of it or buttons. I love chewing on buttons. I don't chew or shoes or any other important stuff other than used tosses. I can be an only dog or I can be part of a pack. I like car rides, being outside when the weather is nice, following foster mom around everywhere she goes because I gotta know everything that's going on in this home. Foster mommy is always telling me that she is ALPHA and I keep disagreeing with her because I know I am Alpha. I am a barker, so no apartments please. I don't like being in the rain or getting wet, especially my feet. If you'd like to meet me and and give me a chance to steal your heart away please touch base with Foster mommy so she can tell you what our next steps are at stickhors@gmail.com

Story
Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be. I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.
