Meet Zeus, a 15 pound, 15 year old Yorkie boy being fostered in Frisco, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Still Waiting… 5 Months and Counting 💔 Today, I am 16! I know, I know, I look so young for my age. I am a loving senior dog who’s been with my amazing foster family for 5 months. I’ve had just a few applications, but none have turned into the forever home I dream of. 🥺 I’m gentle, affectionate, quiet and still have plenty of energy for walks and playtime. I get along great with other dogs and love being around people. I’m not just a dog—I’m a loyal companion, a warm snuggle buddy, and a wise soul who’s seen a lot but still has so much love to give. ❤️ Please consider giving me a chance. I promise to fill your days with tail wags, kisses, soft eyes, and unconditional love. 🐾 it would be the best birthday gift ever! Zeus has hopped into hearts with his loving nature and sweet personality. This snuggle bug loves to be cuddled, be petted and would happily spend the whole day curled up next to his favorite humans. When hes not lounging in my lap, he's investigating the back yard. He may be a senior, but dont let that fool you, this little guy keeps up with his 3 year old foster brother. He is great with other dogs and loves the nightly pack walk around the neighborhood. Zeus, rarely barks, preferring instead to communicate with those expressive eyes and a soft presence that brings instant calm. Don't let age fool you as the Yorkie has a lifespan of 18 plus years. We have one that is 22 and is as spry as a 8yr old. Zeus is so healthy for a dog of his age and has years of love to give! Please consider giving this precious little one his furever and fill out an application at www.uyr.us, Looking for Love section on the left and scroll down to Texas Zeus. Story
Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. June Pupdate: Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. It is me, Cole, spreading love and positivity to everyone. Since my last check-in, I have gone to the groomers and received a wonderful makeover. They praised me for being a very good boi and invited me to come back anytime. It's almost time for me to go back and visit them again. Not much has changed since my last pupdate, except the weather. Thunderstorms and their boomers do not bother me. I am proud to say that I am not afraid of a little rain, but I do prefer to stay dry. I also want to share that I am not a barker unless the rest of the foster kids here start barking. Then I just gotta join in and spread the joy. I walk wonderfully on a harness and leash, and I am grateful for the exercise. I prefer being in a backyard with a very secure fence, where I can run freely and enjoy nature. Foster mama says I have a very jaunty walk and she thinks it is absolutely adorable. There is a pool here, and I enjoy walking around it, feeling the sun on my fur. I have never tried to walk into it or fall into it, and I am proud of my self-control. One of my favorite hobbies is trying to catch flies, and sometimes I succeed, but sometimes the other foster kids here snatch it up first. It's all about having fun and enjoying life. I still love to be by my foster mom all the time, and I cherish every moment we spend together. I do not play with toys, but I love to play with hearts. I only bark when I can't find you or if we're all outside and I want to get let in, because I just want to be close to you. I still do not jump off of couches or beds, so you'll have to pick me up and put me on them, and I am grateful for your care. Foster mom has tried to teach me how to climb up stairs and ramp to the couch or bed, but I am just not interested in doing that, because I just want foster mom to pick me up and cuddle me. I will lie down right next to you and kiss your leg for a long time if you let me, because I love to show affection. My tongue hangs out because I have no teeth, but that does not stop me from eating small, hard kibble and the homemade food FM makes for us, because I am a survivor and I make the most of every situation. I am just a very easy-going guy who just wants to be your best friend and Velcro dog, and I promise to bring joy and love into your life. I won't ask for much from you, except for lots of love, a nice backyard to use my sniffer on and discover all the outdoor scents that the world has to offer, to be able to sleep right by you in your bed or on the couch, because it makes me feel so secure and loved. I love breakfast, dinner, treats, and pizza bones, because food is love. What is a pizza bone, you may ask? Well, those are the crust of a pizza, and they are delicious. I am such a laid-back guy that FM has sometimes had to wake me up to eat supper and breakfast, because I love to sleep and dream of all the wonderful things in life. I am also a very low-energy boi, if you're looking for just a chill dog to become your best friend. I'd like for my furever Pawrent to be retired or work from home, preferably, but that's not a deal-breaker, because love is all that matters. So, if you think I'm the kind of guy who could become your best friend, or if you have any questions about me, you can touch base with my foster mommy at stickhors@gmail.com. I promise you won't regret it. Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be. I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.

Story
Meet Rocco, a handsome 4 year old, 10 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in McKinney TX. Rocco is Heartworm positive and will begin his 4 month treatment soon. Only Texas applicants will be considered. My name is Rocco and just wanted to let you know I am full of energy and love life.. I came to UYR as a stray and they said I was a hot mess…I am a beautiful Yorkie with a short hair cut but I have gorgeous colors and can’t wait to see myself with lots of long hair. Some say I am 4 years old but foster mom and dad think maybe 2-3..because I am curious about everything and am learning about being in a wonderful home life. I had a sheltered life before being lucky to be in foster care..food smells, spending time in a yard, not used to dog beds but love love napping in a cozy lap and I have to snuggle next to my mom and dad at night…. I am healthy except for Heartworm disease but my treatment seems to be working great… Foster siblings aren’t too keen on playing but I am trying to show them what they are missing..if I could have a playmate in my furever home that would be the ultimate.. I am a taller Yorkie so maybe a taller friend would be perfect… Oh by the way, I do need some work on my manners because I find that food is something I have missed.. I am very smart and would learn quickly with some time and loving attention. I just found out about walks and already know when the leash comes out that the fun begins. If you think I would fit with your family and lifestyle or need more information you can email foster mom at stickhors@gmail.com or complete an application below

Story
Meet Koa, a 10-12 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hello everybody out there in this big beautiful world. It's me, Koa checking in with you to tell you what's been going on in my life since my last pupdate. Let's start with telling you that the hair on my feet is growing back and that they are itty-bitty baby hairs growing on my leather ears. I've been gaining weight and I'm almost at the perfect weight. Foster mom felt comfortable enough that I was healthy enough to go get my much needed neuter and more so needed dental. She thought I'd come back toothless but I ended up being able to keep a couple of toofers. I had so many missing teeth already and actually my foster mom found a couple before I got my dental that must've fallen out on their own. She said when she found them it was like walking on a Lego ha ha ha. This is why it's so important to take your puppers to your dogter for their annual visits, their vaccinations and the dental when it's needed. Because I got intubated for my surgeries, I still have a little bit of a cough, but it is clearing up. I am still so scared of everything, still very very head shy, the wind still scares me when I'm outside and if you suddenly approach me I get startled. It is getting a little bit better. Foster mom has been so patient when approaching me to give me my eye drops, but I still cringe when she picks me up. It is taking me a while to learn how to become a dog. I do not play with toys or other dogs here at my foster home. She is hoping that that may change someday. I am a mature little guy, so I do sleep more than usual but I am also awake more than I used to be during the daytime hours. I do like to be outside just to enjoy the weather, smell the fresh air and watch all the other dogs do their silly stuff while we are all outside. I'm enjoying wandering the house just to be wandering. I don't need a whole lot in my life. Just someone to love me for who I am. Someone who will be patient with me as I learn how to become a dog. Someone who will feed me nutritious food, which by the way I eat a mix of hard kibble and canned food. Sometimes foster mom throws a little bit of poached chicken and rice in there. She tends to sneak some vegetables in there too. I am a very quiet little guy. I don't even bark when all the other dogs are barking at the Amazon guy. Then again that could be because I do not hear anything. That kind of makes it difficult for foster mom to approach me because I cannot hear her coming or her voice. A nice yard that's fenced in would be pawsome. I can coexist with other pups that are about my size. I'd love my future home to have Pawrent(s) who work from home or are even retired. I walk nicely on a leash and foster mom says I am the bestest car rider she's had in a very long time. I still see the eye specialist regularly so they can keep tabs on my eyes and what they're doing. The eye dogter told her that my right eye is healing well. I do have dry eyes so I will need to have eye drops put in 2 to 3 times a day. The ones we use do not cost much and can be found on Amazon. On our next check up we are hoping that we can stop doing the three other eye drops that I am currently on. The bottles last a long time so it's not very expensive to keep up on my eye medication. I do need to see an eye specialist twice a year just to keep tabs on my dry eye. I love being brushed. Plus, I get to go get groomed very soon as I just have to wait for my neuter stitches to heal before they can get wet. Foster mom has given me baths, and I am a very cooperative pupper in the tub. I'm still searching for my forever home and my very own fairytail ending. Could you possibly be my king or my queen to love me fur furever so I can become your prince and your castle? If you have any questions about me, please reach out to my foster mom at stickhors@gmail.com Love, Koa

Story
Meet Bingo! A Lively, Loving 9-Month-Old Yorkie Looking for a Great Home Bingo is a sweet, energetic 9-month-old male Yorkshire Terrier who's looking for a new forever home. He's affectionate, playful, and full of personality. He's up to date on all his vaccinations and has not been neutered yet. Bingo has had professional training and is a quick learner. He's eager to please and thrives with structure, attention, and love. We're devastated to be rehoming him. Due to severe allergy issues in our household and a recent move to a pet-restricted temporary home, we've made the very difficult decision to find him a new place where he can be safe, happy, and fully loved. We're asking a reasonable rehoming fee to help ensure Bingo goes to a responsible, committed new owner. He deserves someone who can give him the time, care, and affection he needs. If you think you're the right fit for Bingo, we'd love to hear from you.

Thank you for your interest, you can meet this dog and our other available pooches at the Plano PetSmart, 6204 W Park Blvd, we’re there Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5, as a reminder, we don’t do same day adoptions unless you've submitted an application on our website, https://www.poochsavers.com/, and been approved (received an email saying congratulations, you're approved to adopt), please note that we do not conduct DNA tests on our dogs, while we strive to give accurate data, the breed information we provide is based on our best guess, considering physical characteristics and behavior. HAS NOT BEEN CAT TESTED Frankie is a sweet and loving pup who thrives as the star of the show, he’d do best as an only dog in a quiet home (no apartments or high-traffic areas, please), although he currently lives in a foster home with several other dogs and does fine, he can be reactive to dogs he doesn’t know - he does fine with those he’s familiar with, despite this, he has a very sweet disposition and loves his people endlessly, he needs a patient, dog-savvy adopter who can provide a calm and stable environment - he has so much love to give—he just needs the right match to bring out his best self.
