Story
Meet Percy, a handsome 1.5 year old, 8 pound Yorkie Mix boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Initial Bio 8/9/24: Hi everyone. My name is Percy. I am one of the 12 puppers recently rescued by United Yorkie Rescue. So here is what Foster Mom does know about me. I am guesstimated to be about 18 months old. I weigh in at 8 1/2 pounds. I have been neutered, I have my very own microchip, I'm up-to-date on all my vaccinations, I tested heartworm negative, my fecal was negative and I did not need a dental because I'm still such a young pup. I take my heartworm and flea and tick medication's every month now. I am very inquisitive and will follow you almost everywhere to see what you're doing or what you're getting into. I love digging in the toy boxes to pull out toys and put them every which way in the living room just so FM can put them back where they belong in the toybox. I have a lot of fun here initiating play with the other foster pups. One of my favorite games is playing tag or Chase. It doesn't matter which as long as I am running fast. I am very much the little snuggle bug when it comes to napping and nighttime sleeping. I would prefer to sleep right next to you and keep you warm if you'd let me. I love to give kisses to let you know how much I love you. I am just a very happy go lucky guy. Sure, I still need some training in the potty department and walking with the leash and harness. My dream home would have: * A stay at home or work from home parent(s). * A friend for me to play with. I can play with the little guys and I can play with the guys up to 15 pounds. * A secure fenced backyard would be a bonus. * No apartments please because I am a little barker at all noises. * I will need to be brushed and groomed regularly. * No children under 10 please. * A very nice comfy lap for me to nap in. If you have any questions about me, you can reach out to my FM at stickhors@gmail.com

Story
Some dogs, like Wanda, seem to slip under the radar—and we can't figure out why. This gentle girl has been with us for nearly a year and hasn't received a single application, despite being one of the most easygoing and sweet dogs. Wanda is the definition of adaptable. She’s just as happy in a home with other dogs as she is on her own. Whether you have kids, cats, or a busy schedule, she is just happy snoozing in a dog bed. She has proven herself to be non-destructive so she does not require a kennel. She rarely barks and loves every person she meets. While she’s not fully potty trained, Wanda wears a diaper in her foster home and keeps it dry most days. At 13 years old, she’s a Yorkie, Poodle, and Cocker Spaniel mix, weighing 16.8 lbs. Wanda has so much love to give, and she's waiting for that special someone who will see what a treasure she truly is. If you are interested in adopting Wanda, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org  *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 48 hours. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a homecheck *Our adoption fees are as follows (paid by cash or a check made out to Rescue Row): Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee  Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee  Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##1849749##

Copper is a fun loving little guy who loves to play. He does great with dogs, kids and cats, but groomers and vets are not his favorite people. He needs a patient owner who will make sure he is taken to experienced service providers to make sure he learns they are there to help him.

Story
Meet Blue!  He is 3 to 4  years old Yorkie mix who is loving and beautiful.  He loves to play with other dogs. He was terrified at the shelter but once he got in the car for transport to his new life, he was affectionate and perfectly happy to stay in his transporter's lap for the entire trip. He needs to be in a home with no children or older children who understand his need for space. He is happy and well adjusted.  And oh  so cute!  He would do best with another playful pup and someone home alot too our New Best Friend! This little guy is Bluey, a sweet 5-year-old bundle of love with the biggest brown eyes that will melt your heart. At 16 pounds, he’s pure joy! His favorite pastimes? Going on long walks and cuddling up close – he’s the ultimate snuggle buddy and will happily curl up in your arms to snooze the night away.     House-trained? Check! Blue has never had an accident in his foster home. He’s also great with other dogs and has a blast at the dog park with his pals! He’s already learned to sit, is working on “down,” and would be perfect for someone looking for a dog eager to be trained.  Bluey is a sensitive soul, and because of his past, he would thrive best in a home with no small children or only older kids. He’s protective and gets defensive if he feels someone is being hurt, so he needs understanding owners who can help him feel safe.    His foster mom is also working on toning down his overly enthusiastic greeting of trying to jump in your arms…think Baby jumping into Patrick Swayze’s arms in Dirty Dancy.  If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion with a heart of gold (and serious cuddle skills), Bluey is your guy! Ready to meet him? #AdoptBluey #RescueDog #RunningBuddy #FureverHome #CodysRescue ##2163493##
