Story
Meet Cole, a 10-12 year old, 10 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Say hello to Cole, one of the first United Yorkie Rescue rescues of 2025. Cole found himself as a stray drop off at a Fort Worth shelter on Christmas Eve. He had to go through a stray hold to enable his owners to find him. Well, they never showed up. The shelter reached out to UYR and asked if we could help this little guy out. How could we say no to this little gentle soul? Well at the shelter, he was given his heartworm test which was negative plus given all of his required adult vaccinations and had a microchip implanted and he started his heartworm and flea and tick preventative and is in pretty good health for what their guesstimating his age to be. I can tell as the days go by that this guy was a family pet. He nuzzles up to you with his nose and pushes your arm to let you know he wants attention and to be petted. He goes to the back door when he wants to go outside and he gets very excited at supper time. He quickly learned where his special feeding spot was. He may have been a one person pup at one time in his life as he quickly attached himself to me.

Story
Meet Koa, a 10-12 year old, 9 pound Yorkie boy being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hello everybody out there in this big beautiful world. It's me, Koa checking in with you to tell you what's been going on in my life since my last pupdate. Let's start with telling you that the hair on my feet is growing back and that they are itty-bitty baby hairs growing on my leather ears. I've been gaining weight and I'm almost at the perfect weight. Foster mom felt comfortable enough that I was healthy enough to go get my much needed neuter and more so needed dental. She thought I'd come back toothless but I ended up being able to keep a couple of toofers. I had so many missing teeth already and actually my foster mom found a couple before I got my dental that must've fallen out on their own. She said when she found them it was like walking on a Lego ha ha ha. This is why it's so important to take your puppers to your dogter for their annual visits, their vaccinations and the dental when it's needed. Because I got intubated for my surgeries, I still have a little bit of a cough, but it is clearing up. I am still so scared of everything, still very very head shy, the wind still scares me when I'm outside and if you suddenly approach me I get startled. It is getting a little bit better. Foster mom has been so patient when approaching me to give me my eye drops, but I still cringe when she picks me up. It is taking me a while to learn how to become a dog. I do not play with toys or other dogs here at my foster home. She is hoping that that may change someday. I am a mature little guy, so I do sleep more than usual but I am also awake more than I used to be during the daytime hours. I do like to be outside just to enjoy the weather, smell the fresh air and watch all the other dogs do their silly stuff while we are all outside. I'm enjoying wandering the house just to be wandering. I don't need a whole lot in my life. Just someone to love me for who I am. Someone who will be patient with me as I learn how to become a dog. Someone who will feed me nutritious food, which by the way I eat a mix of hard kibble and canned food. Sometimes foster mom throws a little bit of poached chicken and rice in there. She tends to sneak some vegetables in there too. I am a very quiet little guy. I don't even bark when all the other dogs are barking at the Amazon guy. Then again that could be because I do not hear anything. That kind of makes it difficult for foster mom to approach me because I cannot hear her coming or her voice. A nice yard that's fenced in would be pawsome. I can coexist with other pups that are about my size. I'd love my future home to have Pawrent(s) who work from home or are even retired. I walk nicely on a leash and foster mom says I am the bestest car rider she's had in a very long time. I still see the eye specialist regularly so they can keep tabs on my eyes and what they're doing. The eye dogter told her that my right eye is healing well. I do have dry eyes so I will need to have eye drops put in 2 to 3 times a day. The ones we use do not cost much and can be found on Amazon. On our next check up we are hoping that we can stop doing the three other eye drops that I am currently on. The bottles last a long time so it's not very expensive to keep up on my eye medication. I do need to see an eye specialist twice a year just to keep tabs on my dry eye. I love being brushed. Plus, I get to go get groomed very soon as I just have to wait for my neuter stitches to heal before they can get wet. Foster mom has given me baths, and I am a very cooperative pupper in the tub. I'm still searching for my forever home and my very own fairytail ending. Could you possibly be my king or my queen to love me fur furever so I can become your prince and your castle? If you have any questions about me, please reach out to my foster mom at stickhors@gmail.com Love, Koa

Story
Meet Jenny, a beautiful little 6 pound little adult Yorkie girl being fostered in McKinney, TX. Only Texas applicants will be considered. Hey hey hey y'all out there. It's me, Beautiful one eyed Jenny winking at you and getting ready to tell you what's been going on in my life since my last update. So I'm now at the perfect weight of about 8 pounds. My guesstimated age is about eight years old. We don't know much more than that as I was found as a stray. I have seen my dogter who told foster mom that I am already spayed. I did need a dental terribly. So we went ahead and did that and put a microchip in me so now I'm all up-to-date with all of that stuff, the vaccinations, the heartworm and flea preventatives that I should have every month. I did go see an eye specialist about my eye. Foster mom was told this was probably a very old injury and that my eye was shrunk in. It doesn't hurt me at all so we decided that we will enucleate it. So now it looks like I'm always winking at cha. The eye dogter did diagnose my good eye with dry eye. So my right eye gets eye gel, two or three times a day. This is not very expensive and can be found on Amazon. I am finally showing my personality here. I am a very happy go lucky girl. I love any type of squeaky toy. My daily mission is to collect all squeaky toys and put them under the bed. Then my other favorite job is to steal all the squeaky toys from Rocco and take them under the bed. Foster mom is forever, pulling all the toys out from under the bed at least once a day if not twice. There are always more than 20 toys under that bed. I am not 100% potty trained so I wear a diaper at night. Most of the time it's nice and dry when we wake up in the morning to go outside. I have become a ferocious eater cleaning my bowl every morning and evening. I eat a mix of wet and dry kibble and sometimes foster mom tosses a little bit of poached chicken or salmon. Sometimes some white rice mixed with those healthy things called vegetables. The only vegetable I don't like so far are lima beans. I am learning how to play because Rocco is always bothering me to play and trying to steal my squeaky toys. So we have many tug-of-war matches. Guess what? I always win. I give sweet little kisses. I am not a snuggler unless it's on my own terms. Sometimes I do sneak up on the bed to sleep with foster mommy. I do go to her for some loving and attention which she always gives me whenever I want it. I'd love to find my family soon. I'd like to have a stay at home mom and/or dad. Maybe another little friend to play with. A nice fenced in secure backyard would be a beautiful thing because I do like to be outside to explore and smell things. Naturally, some really good tasting kibble mixed with canned food or even a home-cooked meal would be pawfect. I'm just way too cute not to be spoiled. I do walk well on a leash and foster mommy says I have a saucy walk. I really enjoy car rides as long as I am buckled in and secure. So if you think you could fulfill all of my wishes and then some please touch base with Foster mommy with any of your questions. Her email address is stickhors@gmail.com Woof you, Miss Jenny
